- In this episode, I visit a grandmother who is being terrorized by her grandson's dog in her own home.
Target, a chihuahua mix, is being labeled as a nightmare. An aggressive dog that has been snapping and biting at people. He has been creating a divide in the household, which may result in the grandson getting rid of his beloved dog...
Can I find the solution to this case?

This kid is lucky to have a grandma with such a big heart. And she's lucky to have such an intelligent and caring grandson. Seems like things have turned out for the better for Nick, getting out of a toxic situation with his folks and finding a way to keep moving forward.
That dog could be a real bone of contention. Time for the young man to be the master of his dog.
Ugh. Me and my siblings would of been in and out of foster without our grandma. She passed of cancer in 2016. This lady’s heart reminds me so much or hers. Bless this family

My dog is that mix shes mad .doesnt bite just nuts howls like a wolf but loves snuggles very loveable. Shes tiny well able for herself.But it can be a bad mix
I have a purebred chihuahua he only barks if he hears cars or other dogs around the house.
He does bark at people who come to my house.
I have to give him his secret word to let him know that the person is okay.
I don’t call him by his given name only his nickname.
Right now hawks are out hunting since it has warmed up here in northeast Oklahoma.
I have to put the leash on him.
Yet he is a mellow dog.
I have a terrier chihuahua mix and hes the best nothing like Target they dont even look the same. Hes not aggressive and very nice with children.

God bless this grandmother. She has a heart of gold. She has put up with soo much so her grandson doesn't lose his stability in those animals. I'm hoping nothing but the best for them. Grandmothers are so special and I wish mine were still here. I really hope they are all doing well to this day.
Where would we be without Cesar! Without your wisdom Cesar, we'd be lost. We had 3 beautifully behaved Labradors living with us thanks to his teaching. Brilliant! All common sense, and as far as I can tell it's based on making the dog your servant and not your master. You are in charge of it - not the other way. Treat them like dogs, not children!
You hit the nail on the head! Dogs do not relate to the world the same way as a child does. Most humans have no clue of this.

Usually these dogs that are aggressive are in need of a pack leader. When there is NO human pack leader, the dog assumes pack leader position, unwillingly. This stresses the dog out.

@Lethal Aztec And you never know...maybe the dog is scared because of something that happened in the past. I had an adopted dog, and he was scared of cars because he was living on the streets for a while, and he was scared of dogs big or small because he got attacked. It was a very traumatic experience for me having to watch that. But, you never know.

It was her drama queen antics that were causing the problem. Cesar was with the dog for 5 minutes and the dog became totally calm and non-aggressive.

I saw some more of the show and the poor little dog had Really bad teeth and was in A Lot of pain.. Ceasar had him see a vet most teeth just fell out.. very sad but he got help..
If I one day could be half the grandma she is I would be so happy. What a loving lady. She could have kicked the dog out but knew how attached her grandson was to him. ♥️
I love to see animals saved. I love all animals. You can understand them if you watch their behaviors and changes in their stance and facial expressions.
As a groomer this really touches me. I groom a dog that the owner said if it bites they would put it down. The dog bit but I never told the owners and worked with the dog. He loves me now and I finally told his owners. They were glad I worked with him and they didn't put him down. He's a good dog just nervous for grooming.

Humans are more aggressive than any other animal in the planet, dogs bite for fear, anxiety etc. MAYBE THEY LEFT HIM ALONE WITH OTHER GROOMERS, AND HE WAS HURT, I NEVER, NEVER LEAVE MY FURBABIES ALONE WITH NO ONE. Aggression from them is all related to humans. Dogs nature is gentle and incondicional love😪
Did the same to my grandmas cat. Been scared for his whole life but when i started to visit my grandma alot i started to make the cat feel more safe. Cat seemed mad but the more i spent time with the cat, he showed me more that he was just a little scared. Got scratched alot and some bites but every day i visited my grandma i moved closer and closer to the cat and in the end it went on my lap by itself. Every time i visit my grandma now, we can hear the little fat cat walk down the hall and to the livingroom to jump on top of the coach and sit on my lap 🥰
My Shih Tsu is so aggressive during grooming...I have to do it myself because no groomer will take him except for the one at the vet where they anestisise him...knock him right out for it. Share your secrets with me, please!

My most beloved adopted companion dog was a westie. She had been raised stupidely and tried to bite everyone until they got rid of her, then in the shelter she was still hating the world, finally we met and she instantly gave me her trust. We fell in love. I remember the shelter's lady saying "OMG, a miracle". RIP my girl. ❤️

I would love to know the end result of target and Grandma's anxiety. I have been watching Cesar's show for many years and found his methods are right on (Pardon the saying in this case) target. I just hope all was successful and the family is doing well. Give us update shows please. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge with us. I cringed so hard seeing the leopard gecko on sand. That's sooooo bad for them.
Why is sand bad for geckos?
@@abelo6727 The main issue is that they can consume it and die because it impacts their intestines and they can't poop.
They also don't come from an environment where sand is around.
Best substrates for a Leopard Gecko would be coco fiber, paper towels, slate tile or most flooring tiles.
She wants love and Target doesn't feel it. So she punishes him. More she punishes, the less he likes her. Vicious cycle. Give him space; problem solved.
SAME! I have geckos, mother of three dinos. I love that the grandson loves animals but if he cares about them he should really do more research. The internet is an amazing tool. That geckos cage was very sad to see. I think there is a real difference between liking animals and properly caring for them.

My dog will go after my sister at times, because she gives off that nervous energy. Never as aggressive as Target, but he will warn her with growls and she doesn't move and then he will give her a little bite. I feel bad for both of them.
Believe me, Chihuahuas can be very aggressive. And scary.
@@elaineadams3982 Chihuahua's are very smart. One of the smartest breeds a person could ever own. However, their increased intelligence allows them to pick on things a bit more quickly then one would expect. They don't just sense their owners emotions. They also can see it. They can hear it. They are taking in all this information with a strong conscious maybe on par with an 8 year old child. Target is not aggressive. He is defensive. I wonder what his earlier years were like. Something must've happened to him often enough that he taught himself to bark and bite at certain people. Maybe the humans around him did things that were misinterpreted by him. Maybe rough play and playful teasing from the owners who didn't think much of their actions towards an instinctual creature in his younger years. There's a lot of reasons a dog (epesically a smaller breed like the Chihuahua) could act so defensively. Puppies are not born aggressive. Just as Human Babies are not born aggressive. Somewhere along the line the Dog is either taught to act defensive or it self-teaches itself through past experiences. There is also a third scenario that can occur in elderly dogs. That would be some form of mental disease. Maybe Target only recently started acting like this. The young man even admits that after he moved in with Granny, Targets behavior gradually worsened. That tiny Chihuahua could be in the early stages of dementia. Based on what the Boy said I'm guessing Target is around 14 years of age.
