Ceaser is so much better on TH-cam instead of getting ripped off by those bottom level tv channels that have the cheesy voiceovers and the lady who cries every episode. So, all the nay-sayers who complain about his in=person training seminars being so expensive need to consider this. Yes, he charges for his in-person hands-on training seminars. • @Galemor1
      @Galemor1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The dog isn't calm, so putting it in a restraining device like a cage, is stressing it the fuck out..
A crate/cage, should be a safe haven for the dog.. A place it can go to relax. To get away (from kids, stressful situations, and so forth)
It shouldn't be used as a restraining or punishing method.

That is why dogs bark at my wife and I when we go for a walk around the block. They are so lonely. They also want to get out into the wide word to smell something new and be free to make a wee next to tree. That is Life for any dog. Many dogs stay cooped up all their life in a small space. The beg to get out by barking.

When I went through some hard times I didn't know you, but I know that if I would have known about you, you would have made the bad times better. Every time I watch any Dog Whisperer, Cesar 911 episode or read you books I learn more and more. I have also used some of your methods on my dog and other dogs I watch and they help me A LOT! You make a bad day a good day! Thank you! You teach so much more then "just" about dogs but also about humanity and how to live happy with yourself, other people and animals, especially with the stuff going on right now. I really appreciate you. You changed my life and my career wishes for when I'm older! You are bringing good and positive energy into the world. I really appreciate you. Every time you explain something it just makes so much more sense then when other people explain it.

This dog needs a caring home, just taking in a dog you don't really want or have time for, is a problem.
He's misbehaving, because he doesn't get enough exercise...
What people doesn't seem to understand, is that giving a dog a task, is draining energy.
If you tell the dog to go and lay down (in a spot where you have chosen) it has to stay there until you say otherwise..
So the door opening and closing, or you walking into the kitchen, the dog still has to resist its urges to follow. Which is how they exhaust themselves, while just laying in 1 spot.
Sleeping on the couch, or wherever they chooses to, isn't the same.
Even walking next to you and not pulling on the leash, is more draining to the dog, than running around sniffing the ground..
Because it has to resist the urge to go faster, to run after a cat, to say hi to the other dogs, to sniff the ground.
If you have anxiety or are insecure about something, doesn't it feel good, when someone just tells you what you have to do?
It's the same for a dog, the moment you give them a task, they can focus on that task, and just get into the ZONE... which means less barking, less unwanted behavior, and the dogs feels safer, as they know you will guide them..

That dog needs to be with someone who can give him a lot more attention and activity.
You say you love him, but you are basically asking part of his soul to die so you can fit him into your life. He needs to MOVE! All of that energy if not spent, is going to turn self destructive.
If you love him, consider giving him away to someone who can better take care of his NEEDS.

Sometimes the exercise you give a dog its not enough and they need More. I had a border Collie that Was medically hiperactive. The vet told us after some test that they dog Was more active than a normal dog. We Live near the countryside, we Were 3 in the family, the 3 of us taked the dog out all day. In the morning he went 1 h to walk and play with my mom and after that he Was in the store where she worked. After lunch I taked the dog for a 40 min walk after Eating and in the evening I went to play with him for another hour.
It Was not enough for Him. That dog needed to work all day. In the End we had to talk with a friend of ours who is a shepper and recently his dog died (old age) so he needed a New dog to work with the sheep.
We went to see him a couple of times and he Was... So happy. Taking care of the sheep, working all day from the moment he wake up to the moment he went to sleep.
It Was one of the most difficult decisions we had to Make. Accept we Were not enought for him even trying our best, but he Was such a happy and good dog after that. I think we made the right choice

@@AmomenttobeReal - As Cesar ALWAYS says: "Dogs need a job. That's what they are born to do." Your dog's innate job is to herd! Good that you were selfless enough to recognize that your dog needed way more than just walking. He needed to WORK! One of my dogs, who recently passed at 18yrs, was an Aussie cattle dog. (I got him from someone who didn't want to bother to give him the type of life he needed.) He wasn't into playing, or tracking, or guarding the house like my other dogs. His job was to keep the other dogs in control & from running off. He herded them to keep them out of trouble. Even after he went blind my other dogs just let him herd them around! You did the right thing. And you at least can see him from time to time. Now, go out & find the right energy dog for your lifestyle & give him or her the best life ever! Best to you!

People always ask me how I maintain a healthy environment with all my babies and as Cesar states rules boundaries as limitations. You also have to help them to burn off the high energy level that they have as they are very high energy.

Wow, 9 of them! I adopted what I thought was a chi but turns out she’s a chi mix with a majority of Boston. Holy smokes! My Luna is just like that dog in the video, wild and athletic like I’ve never seen. It’s almost impossible to contain her running around the house but we’re trying. She also jumps on the table too. 🤦‍♀️

We have a very adhd 2 yr. Neutered Boston terrier. At one, we got him on antidepressants so he could at least focus. It doesn’t make him buzzed or tired in any way. Just focus a bit. He is still a work in progress. On pulling leash…Ived tried everything. Exercise, positive, negative, calm assertive, dragging, taking him down, sonar collar, sound spray, you name it. A month ago, I got a prong collar. He learned not to pull in about 5 min. We are both seniors and don’t want to be pulled over. Our neighborhood is full of dog walking. He is my 5th Boston and they broke the mold! I am bound and determined since I trained my family Boston one summer when I was 10.
