Played an Ice Maiden as first character after D2R - never played one back in the day. Similar experience, but didn't have BIS for a lot of items - managed to stump up for an Ice and Chains, but the lack of Infinity for the merc was painful. Went back after the sunders were added and they made a pretty big difference. Annoyingly, I've got a 5/5 Cold Facet, but no Nightwings to put it in. Those two would definitely push the build up a tier. She's definitely fun though!
Agreed I think she is heaps of fun. Fun fact that Ice Maiden was the first ladder character I ever had in Diablo 2 classic back in 2000. She has a nostalgic place in my heart.
I didn't even realise I did that! I must have been on auto pilot when I made that in a gmb. I was probably only hitting 10 frames with the gmb instead of 9
I made an ice bowazon for the current ladder season, and it’s been incredibly fun to play. I just wish she was more viable on higher player counts - the slower kill speed isn’t as much of problem as mana sustain. I wonder if that higher damage on GMB helps leech better.
Because I am playing online it's mainly players 1 so the 9 is fine for me. If I put a ferver in the nightwings instead of the facet I would get to the 8 breakpoint, Zon fcr is so bad I generally prefer to just run, but that's just me. Kiras is a good idea to solve the res issues tho, I like that a lot.
its kind of dumb you're using a fully decked out character with an inventory of skillers and torches and annis when ladder reset is just around the corner and people are looking for builds to try.. and obviously now they have no idea how viable this is in hell
I have one with half an inch but if physical SC's near end of ladder XD. Anyways I find it super weak for the cost of it. Though the physical sides fun, I also have faith GMB and that destroys. Just sucks not being able to also rush effectively. As rushing people is one of my favorite pastimes. Though if you can afford this. You can afford a sorc too. Probably just make a sorc first.
Having cold dmg on charms/gear will help a lot as it applies on the explosion. Same goes for the fire tree with added fire dmg.🎉
For single player would you recommend Strafe since gear is so hard to come by?

I just respected my bowazon to ice. It’s pretty strong just mana intensive. Put 15 ias 3 maek jewel in nightwing and use silkweaves. Infinity on merc.

Not currently, but that's a good idea to start incorporating in to these build videos.

The torch on bowzon is painful
You always want to hit 8 frames in my opinion, 9 is too slow
I have a setup with enigma, 68fcr and Kira’s with fervor jewel
