    Finally, the 2020 Hyundai Ioniq is hitting showrooms and I was able to take some time to check it out. This one is the 2020 Ioniq Limited trim that gets up to 55 MPGs. Believe it or not, the Ioniq Blue actually gets up to 58 MPGs in the city. Sorry about the wind noise in advance. Enjoy!

    I've done a ton of research on this, and you're the first person to explain and show the active grill shutters. I also didn't know about the braking recovery levels and how they work. Thanks!

    Great review and seriously thinking about. Limited is the way for me as well. My concern is rear sensors - I back into my half of the garage and hoping you can turn off the rear sensors so it doesn't scream at me. Advise if you can.

      Yes there is a button that can switch off the rear sensors.

    I wish there was cooling devices for the lithium batteries Yes, I said batteries There is one large lithium and there is small 12 volt lithium. The larger one charges the smaller However, both have batteries deterioration and swelling over five years.If it had cooling device over these batteries These could last over 15 years.I just bought a 2019 Hunydia Oniqi It is a limited version.So it does have many bells and whistles buttons to understand.

      That might be a niche you could get into and make some serious cash.

    glad to learn that the car wakes you up, should you be soothed into sleep by the sounds of nature o..O

    • @MiguelMyCarGuy
      @MiguelMyCarGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't have to use sounds of nature when you're driving if you don't want to.

    Is the cabin quiet while driving?

    • @MiguelMyCarGuy
      @MiguelMyCarGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Oh yeah, definitely. Obviously if you're driving down a dirt road the sound will be more elevated. But unlike most other hybrids, it doesnt sound like you're driving a mailbox.

      How about on the 408 or I-4?

      408, lovely. I-4 sucks in general but I'm sure it'll be ok.

    How does one decide between the Kia niro vs the ioniq?

    • @MiguelMyCarGuy
      @MiguelMyCarGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on which trim and preferences.

    • @robert982
      @robert982 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@MiguelMyCarGuy good point. Let us say the two base models, 2020. I definitely require the BSW safety feature, however, which I recall comes on a higher trim.

    • @MiguelMyCarGuy
      @MiguelMyCarGuy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct, but remember the Ioniq had nearly double thr cargo room and leg room galore. The Niro is pretty limited on legroom in the back and a much shallower trunk.

    • @robert982
      @robert982 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Luckily Hyundai is planning on expanding extended range vehicles. Coming soon there will be the Sonata Hybrid. Rumors say the Hybrid Santa Fe and Tucson are also bring developed. Rumors being the most important at this point.
