Holy shit, I gotta commend Matt on his attitude in this. Your team was totally on tilt, but you kept calm, reassured the shit out of them and helped get them the win they so desperately wanted. I was always one of the people that enjoyed and appreciated his (and Jeremy's) contributions to the team and channel, but hopefully now others will too.

My favorite thing was Michael saying "We're doing really well in this room" at 6:30 in the first room. My fireteam did the first room in less than a minute at level 290 each and STILL didn't clear it. Took four tries for us to get it, but we got it eventually. Absolutely worth all the trouble, Black Spindle is SO killer in the Raid.
As a big Destiny guy and a huge supporter of AH ever since the first episodes of Fails Of The Weak, this puts a huge smile on my face. I'm so glad the AH guys are enjoying destiny and everything they say about Destiny completely remaking itself into something much better than it was before is extremely true and this video was simply satisfying. GG guys and enjoy that spindle :)
For the amount of MMO terminology destiny uses, it's a surprise they still haven't implemented so,thing like an easy way to for raid groups in game. Like a text chat in the tower, as they fix so many of the issues people have complained about they still try and pretend that their not an MMO.

easiest strategy is to get 2 defender Titans, one with blessing of light and the other with weapons of light. Everyone in the fire team equips swords and the defenders place bubbles next to the boss to get max shields and damage, sword the boss to death, run back to the room with the glass cover and kill all enemies and blights.
Did it yesterday with a fireteam. Started at 8 pm and we finally got it at 1:30 am. We kept going for it and improving each attempt. It was awesome and made the feel of finally holding black spindle that much better! As a added bonus we also got the ships! Grats guys! Been there, know the feels!
Great job guys! Me and a few friends spent a little over 10 hours during the 2 days this has been the daily heroic mission trying to get black spindle and failing miserably (not even getting close), except for the last try really late at night after a day of runs trying different methods and tactics that clearly weren't good fits for our play styles. In the end we beat the event with 51 seconds to spare and had literally no idea how we'd managed that after not coming close on previous attempts. It honestly really felt good to get it done.

A good strategy is key. What our team did was as follows. Have a Titan pop a weapons of light bubble right on his platform. A hunter tethers him to get some added damage, and at least two raze-lighters go to town Phoenix-uppercutting his ass. He was 15% health in less than 30 seconds, and dead within 1:30. After that, use the remaining time to clear blights, then psions then the rest of the adds. You'll need about 4, 4 and a half minutes in the final room to complete using this strat. We were all 294-297 light and competed it with just a little bit less than a minute to spare. Although it must be said, I had no idea he didn't spawn more adds unless he was damaged. Good to know for future reference.
I appreciate Matt in the bird noise free (ha ha) portion of the video. He's very reassuring, has good situational awareness, and refuses to give up. Good work AxialMatt!
I have been here before! Back when I was playing Destiny on the PS3, my friend showed me a few map glitches to the Black Garden and this exact area without enemies. Two Devil Walkers are in the upper tubes in the biggest room.

Like with the Gambit video they did. They didnt know squat about any of the new abilities or changes and it was very obvious they werent enjoying floundering about but you fix that by playing. There's now four raids. And two Raid-Lairs. Calus, which they did, Last Wish, Scourge of the Past, and now Crown of Sorrows. Just seeing them do stuff like Shattered Throne or Zero Hour or Whisper of the Worm, let alone Last Wish, would be great.

Clearing out those first two rooms is a piece of piss with the exotic solar sword, the uppercut ability takes those Wizards down from full health/shields to like 10% health. My current record for getting to boss room is about 2:10. Thank god they brought Matt in.

Matt Bragg was like main hero of a anime shoe never giving up when the chips were down. He's like Naruto or Ichigo he's always fighting for his dream and his friends.
Michael is obviously the best FPSer of AH, there are just a few strategy things that would help. Like using rocket launchers for killing grouped up Psions instead of the boss. It doesn't do a ton of one hit damage, but it fucks up groups (and keeps those bastards from splitting). Just something I've noticed.
im not sure if they mentioned it but to maximize dps when one person dies everybody should wipe as it will pause the timer, then everbody res at the same time
As much as I felt screwed over in Destiny as a year one player and how much I hate the dlc plan, I love these videos. Can't wait for them to do the raid.
I never knew that it was this hard to get. My friends and I got it our first time and then had to do it a couple more times for my other friends, never had a hard time with it. Instead it turn into a competition to see how fast we could finish the mission.
I am amazed to see the crew who play like idiots in other games, but in this game they play with the best teamwork and they are super serious. It is really enjoyable to watch.
Totally worth it, I did it on the third try with only fifteen seconds left, its those last few seconds where shit get's intense. Glad to have the exotic variant of my favorite legendary, Black Hammer.

Just a tip in the future should Gavin run it to get the Black Spindle, don't use your super on the boss. Only use it on the ads. It's infinitely more productive to quickly clear the room with super than to use it on a boss

Bryce Childs Um were have you been? They said it was a bug that it droped as 310 and they will nerf it damage back down to 290 ALL so even getting one off the wall and boosting it when the nerf comes out it will effect anyone in your hands.

Michael is obviously the best FPSer of AH, there are just a few strategy things that would help. Like using rocket launchers for killing grouped up Psions instead of the boss. It doesn't do a ton of one hit damage, but it fucks up groups (and keeps those bastards from splitting). Just something I've noticed.

im not sure if they mentioned it but to maximize dps when one person dies everybody should wipe as it will pause the timer, then everbody res at the same time
As much as I felt screwed over in Destiny as a year one player and how much I hate the dlc plan, I love these videos. Can't wait for them to do the raid.
The team work in this is quite impressive. I'd like to see them handle the raid.

I never knew that it was this hard to get. My friends and I got it our first time and then had to do it a couple more times for my other friends, never had a hard time with it. Instead it turn into a competition to see how fast we could finish the mission.
I am amazed to see the crew who play like idiots in other games, but in this game they play with the best teamwork and they are super serious. It is really enjoyable to watch.
Totally worth it, I did it on the third try with only fifteen seconds left, its those last few seconds where shit get's intense. Glad to have the exotic variant of my favorite legendary, Black Hammer.

Just a tip in the future should Gavin run it to get the Black Spindle, don't use your super on the boss. Only use it on the ads. It's infinitely more productive to quickly clear the room with super than to use it on a boss

The guns a monster, broke it down into my stillpeircer before it gets nerfed, then just going to get another one off the wall when it get nerfed and try to raise it back up to 310. :)
That's exactly what I did!
Just infuse the 310 one into the 300 wall one
Strange Alien We don't know how the nerf will effect everything, so even getting a 300 to 310 could still mean it gets nerfed back to 290.
Bryce Childs Um were have you been? They said it was a bug that it droped as 310 and they will nerf it damage back down to 290 ALL so even getting one off the wall and boosting it when the nerf comes out it will effect anyone in your hands.
