what an amazing episode guys, shows you how remote you are. An abandoned boat, human skulls, burials.. ancient cave paintings. Awesome experience that you are so kind to share with us, thanks a million. Please be careful. Mario
What an amazing and emotional adventure you guys just encountered. I really enjoyed it, and found myself completely in awe in what you found. Thank you so much for being respectful, leaving everything alone, and leaving with peaceful thoughts. You guys are the best!
Hi Jack and Fran, at the start of this video both of you were looking at the size of the Croc foot print in the sand. When I toured the Walker river, I went up a creek, about 50 meters wide, I noticed a huge Croc slide going up a muddy bank. The width of the slide was about 150 centre meters or close to 5 feet wide. some massive foot prints that had sunk into the clay about 150 cm's deep on the outside of the slide. The foot print was close to 30 cm long, about 12 inches. My heart started pounding that hard and fast that my blood pressure must have gone up substantially. I kept going up stream to collect my traps that had moved about 50 meters from where I put them in. I could not find the other one. I motored as quietly as I could out of that side creek. in my tinny, got into my bigger boat and left the Walker River, back into Blue Mud Bay which was north of Groote Eylandt, Gulf of Carpentaria. NT. On the way out I noticed a couple of floating Crocs just watching. I sailed back to Alyangula, Groote Eylandt, to the Clinic which I had phoned on my way back about my yellow and grey leg which had two deep puncture marks about 8mm apart and 5mm deep. The Doctor looked at my leg and said Darwin Hospital; filled me full of injections, booked the flight and took me the 17 kilometres to the Airport that afternoon. My boat was still at anchor on my return..
I absolutely love this series!! Keeps me sane during the Winter months in the US. This video was just incredible, to see the paintings of old sail boats that visited these islands. Wow! Spectacular! Sadly their lives would change forever. So much history on those islands. Thank you for showing great respect for this culture.
Hey Strick and Fran! Loved this episode and your adventures. As an Aboriginal person I appreciate the presence in your video, I got goosebumps when you found the sacred burial sites and rock art. In case you don't do it already, I would begin to introduce yourself to Country (name and origin), state your intentions and ask for permission before taking anything. Introduction and acknowledgement shows love and respect to the spirits, and keeps you safe from bad spirits. Thanks for reading and keep up the awesome episodes. ❤
Spirits? There's no such a thing. When you die, your sawl goes, there's two places to go. One hell or heaven. That's a lie and is not true that the spirits follow you or stay out there. Oh my, it's not like that. Sorry, but that is not real and true.
I found a carcass of an Irrawaddy Dolphin on Northern Yeppoon Beach back in the early 80's. Unfortunately the trawler guys had netted it, killed it by hanging it by its tail under water and then chopping off its tail fins. I took pics and sent them to the relevant Department back then. Sad to see. It was confirmed as an Irrawaddy.
I live in Medford Oregon and am disabled, I love watching your channels and love the places you go. I wish I could go out and live and sustain off the ocean. Thank you so very much ❤
I once talked to a guy on Middle Percy Island who lives there at the beach (Percy Hilton Tree House). He said his buddy went out fishing in the boat and never came back. I just had to think about that when I saw this video.
Very nice place, everybody likes to see things on the shore, but if everyone takes a souvenir nobody will find nice things to see,but it was just a shell...but you took it there is one shell less to see in the morning.😢
Bit of a cliffhanger that 1. Any update on the boat or the human remains you found? Surely weather you believe the human remains are old Aboriginal remains or not you would have to report the finding to the authorities and coupled with the boat it all looks suspicious. 🤔🤔🤔
It's doubtful they're connected. The bones on the body were completely clean and bleached, making them several years old at the earliest. But the beef jerky on the boat was barely bad. But it is odd.
@@ceIIardoor Define "illegal beach" in the territory of Australia, please. In my country, the coast line is public. no exceptions to that law, including multi-million properties. The beach is never part of it, and that is true even if the property loses e.g. 10 meter to sea.
WOW this episode was gripping! Full of mystery and history. Really loving the cave hunting and your general adventures discovering new places. Keep us updated if you find anything out about the unmanned dory. All the best guys take care out there 💙
This is adventure at its best ! Crocs, dolphins, washed up murdered turtle, wild pigs, skulls and skeletons, no fresh water …… and Robinson Crusoe’s boat 😅 . Thanks for this fab video Guys ❤
What an amazing time you are both having, respect to all involved and the people from a different time you crossed paths with. Stay safe, have fun! 👍🤗😊
Wow...I must admit that every episodes are all amazing but this one beats everything so far because of the unexpected human remains...What an absolute creepy and lots of imagination about the spiritual world I can think about this...Just WOW
What an amazing place, and the cave paintings are absolutely out of this world. I get to see San cave paintings here in South Africa, I know how special it feels to see it in person. Being on an uninhabited island with such beautiful coves and caves is right up there.👍
My first thought when you saw the skull, was that it could be someone who had gone missing after a wreck, or croc attack or something like that, I never even thought it could be a sacred place. It's so good to see people having such respect for culture.
Well hello . hello . What a stir to the gut that must have caused / felt with your mate hollering for you like that . Being an older man , I have heard about and seen some aboriginal drawings as such but nothing to the scale of what you have shared within the past couple of weeks . Thank you . I guess I'll let you go here . Always looking forward to going exploring with you .
Strick.....The rainbow serpent, you sure it's not the water leaching through the porous sedimentary rock oxidizing the iron minerals? You see when you have a layer of rock with higher porosity above a lower porous layer the water accumulates (puddles) at the base of the more porous layer subsequently oxidizing the iron minerals.
You guys are so lucky. The content and quality of this episode guys is amazing. Its up there. Driving home from work this morning in -2'c and snow, you are world away spending time with a beautiful co presenter who is amazing at flying the drone and getting the shots too.
That Flinders is. group are without doubt the prettiest island group along the east coast. That dory in the Owen channel is full of gar net, a mackerel fisherman won't be far away. Those snub-fin or Irrawaddy dolphin are more common than you think, Cleveland bay ,Halifax bay t'ville and all the way down the western side of the gulf. The biggest disappointment is that every beach bar none is covered in human crap all the way to the tip and around the corner. Margaret Bay is also a very special stopover on your journey north with good anchorage, cheers.
Wow, another mindblowing serie, the content is on a high level, very unique spots i would never see without your explorings - the human skull was a precious found, and your historical explanations are super interesting ! I saw 3 years ago in Myanmar Irrawaddy Dolphins in the Delta by exploring a Marine NP, they came near the boat and i could see them shining in blue-grey colour - it was amazing ! Thank you Strick & Fran, you are adorable, your videos and work are phenomenal !🙏👋✌😍

Wow I would love to visit that island. There is so much going on. I hope that you did notify the authorities about what you have found. It could be nothing but you never know. Great video it goes right up there to the top 10.
theres a massive pod of dolphins off the eastern coast of South America that have been doing this for well over 100 years with locals there, herding fish in for the nets, and the locals actually take fish from the catch and feed the dolphins there. the older dolphins teach the younger ones to do this so it just keeps going generation after generation. it's fantastic. they're so incredibly smart, and the working together is just a show of why humans are just so close to other animals in build and intelligence.
Maybe the anchored boat is the skull back there trying to keep from turning to a strap of dried out leather! I definitely would have tried again to be sure someone received the message with that boats serial numbers on it! You guys are so lucky and extremely blessed to be able to adventure in that beautiful slice of Heaven and see some drawings from the Aboriginals and stand where they once stood!
What a beautiful and respectfull way to treat people that have been lost within the community. I didn't know that the indigenous people did that so thank you for educating us. I must admit, my heart was in my mouth when you had to reanchor the boat. As a Pommy, I am clueless to croco awareness but would be interested to know what precautions you take to reduce the chances of getting munched. Thanks for the video, definitely subscribing!
Hi Guys! NIce episode! Question. Did you have any feedback on the boat or human skull? Thank you for the great exploration. You light up my life every week!

They might be on an illegal beach tbh
