No biggie, you're on Vanuatu time:) We were up in Santo in 2023 on Ohana (Lagoon 500) and it sounds like I am the AJ Simon talks about....small world:)
The Parley crew is nailing it......entertainment, positive vibes, great story telling and beautiful video production/editing, keeping us interested and looking forward to more. Well done all.
As a primary school teacher in the UK, I regularly talk to my class about the children who you meet on your travels. It really helps me to remind the chn of important core values that can sometimes be forgotten. Today, it was my turn to stop and think...hearing the teacher talk about her two hour walk home at the weekend. What an inspirational lady. Keep up the fabulous work on this channel guys...I love what you do 💖
The parlay crew doesn't disappoint, like true humble travelers they leave their locations better off than they found them. Once again, my hat is off to you guys and the way you interact with the people of the "outside" world.🤘🍻
Most of the stuffed that was dumped was brand new, they also dug holes in the ground and buried new engines and gearboxes. In the mid fifties i worked with a guy that was based at million dollar point and helped with the disposal of all the equipment. He told me how they extended the air cleaners on the bulldozers and they lined them up on the waters edge and made bets on whose dozer would go out the furtherest before the air cleaner went under the water and stopped the engine.
With all that’s going on with parts of the world today watching how simple and innocent others live was very enjoyable. Thank you for sharing. Happy Holidays everyone.
I’ve been watching parlay vids for more than a year. I binged at first and have been caught up for the last few months. I have to say, I don’t know what it is, but they bring me so much peace. I’m don’t sail, I live in landlocked Alberta Canada, and I’m not mechanically minded, but I look forward to watching every week whether it be visiting a remote community, diving with whales, or sanding fiberglass. These vids are a gift. Thank you for sharing.
I was born in Fiji Colin and was very warming to see your deep respect for the local people. We[[ done, giving the Chiefs daughter one of your knives is called, in Fijian, a 'Sevu Sevu' a gift saying thank you. Excellent work!! 🙂🙂
I'm a sailor, although sailing all my life and being born on a boat with work and family at the age of 51 I'm yet to leave UK waters, for the past 5yrs I've manage to sail for 3 months solid every summer and in 2028 am already planning to sail across the Atlantic. But if the is one thing I wish I could share and make non sailors understand is the amazing power of the sailing community, the amazing way people share, help and support fellow sailors is incredible and sometimes much of the world could learn from. Fair wind Padlay and crew thank you for sharing your dreams to encourage us to make our dreams come true
Colin & crew. I hope you all survived the earthquake. Also that none of the people we saw on this post were harmed. Catchya next week. Oh and Merry Christmas to you all, stay safe and enjoy. Keep the dream Alive.
As you were presenting the knife at the end, I realized I had a pleasant grin on my face. The grin from watching your kindness and respectful treatment of the locals. Thank you.
If I were searching for the best ambassadors of good will, I would stop searching after coming across your videos. All of the people currently sailing on Parlay and all of the guests have been phenomenal ambassadors. What more can be said other than safe travels and may y'all always be met with the same kindness that y'all give wherever Parlay takes you and the crew.
Episodes like this, along with the diy repairing of Parlay are exactly the reason this has been my favorite YT channel for many years now. Simply the best crew on the water. Thanks for taking us along. 🤙🏻🤙🏻
Thank you to the Parlay crew for sharing another wonderful adventure with us all. Your experiences instill confidence in me that when you get away from it all, people realize what's important in life, and truly care for one another instead of getting caught up in the rat race we live in.
Awesome episode Colin an Crew!!! Interacting the way yall did with the locals was just great to see!! The most friendly people you could ever want to meet, They were so happy to have you as guest, Keep havin fun guys and Until next Sunday, Satay safe and Merry Christmas to all of the Parlay Revival souls!!!!
Man! I said it last time and I will say it again. LOVE your episodes and attitude. Instead of staying in your bubble with other foreigners, you go out and actually talk to the locals, god forbid. And what an experience you have! So many travel stories of people I know and, yes, also youtube channels are so insular. Makes you wonder why people travel the world to just talk to the kind of people they already know.
I hope Parlay and all are doing ok after the earthquake? What a great episode. The diving was crazy. How nature reclaims the garbage we dump. Taro cooked in coconut milk with spinach over rice is amazing(Indian spices) or baked with butter and garlic. See you all next week.
One of my fave episodes yet!! Those experiences of just raw culture sharing and bonding are worth way more than anything man made or artificial. Love it guys! Appreciate you all and what you do to brighten peoples weeks through your travels
🙏🏼 thank you, I can not express how your interactions with the native islanders gives me faith in humanity like no other experiences I’ve had in my 50 plus years of life so far. Your content truly brings me exactly what I needed this holiday season ❤🙏🏼❤️
You bet it warmed our hearts, Colin... So freakin wholesome mate. Have loved your journey so much since leaving NZ because of the beautiful nature of these tribes living remotely. So much to learn from them, instead of teaching them our modern ways. Good stuff. 👍🏽
I was in New Hebrides in 1975 and my ship the MSS Arcadia pumped oil off the Coolidge which was cheap and also to prevent pollution in case of earthquakes or the ship breaking up. I dived near it but was too scared to go inside. My mates brought back dinner plates from the galley
What an experience! I love that you seek out these experiences and do things the way the village people do and get to know them. It's so encouraging and heartwarming 😍
Watching these videos is like going to church for my soul! The old rule about things done for the right reason coming back around times 10 makes every episode a life lesson! Now i would love to try some real island made kava at some point in my life. Cheers!!!
I had a diver friend who went to Truk Island a lot and brought back amazing photos. The water is crystal clear. There was a major battle there in WWII and so there's a lot of planes and tanks and such just sitting there. Worth checking out if you're still in the area.
Colin, that was an epic video. The dives were incredible. I really really enjoyed the last part with the people. So heartwarming. Thank you so much Sending love from Liz in California 🤟🏻🥰😎⛵️🍀🇺🇸
These vids make me smile I've said it before about these islanders Such a beautiful gentle kind hearted race & the children, not a care in the world, Just Happy Cheers From Oz
This might be my favorite episode in a long time!! I love the remoteness and seeing a natural way of life and the purity of the children!! Their laughter and excitement that you are with them. Thanks Colin for sharing this!! Prayers for continued safety in your travels!!❤
Back in 1980 I took a dive group to Vanuatu but due to the revolution was unable to get up to Santo, two years later I had another group of divers from NZ, and this time had fantastic week up in Santo diving the Coolidge and million dollar point, back then the local dive operater was an Auzzie guy who originally did the salvage work on the Coolidge so it didn’t contaminate the sorounding reefs, he stayed on settling up his dive operation in Santo it is nice to see you diving the same locations we did way back in the 80s

This video, as with so many of your stories of your immersion into remote cultures, is so heartwarming and genuine and reaffirming of the true good nature that the peoples of this planet are capable of toward one another. Thank you for sharing.❤
Glad you enjoyed which was my backyard for over 6 months…doing tours daily on those sites..it truly was the coolest! Good to see it hasn’t changed much!!! Love from B.C. Canada 🇨🇦
Another Monday morning leading uo to Christmas and my heart is full after watching this episode. With all the horrible things I've seen around the world this weekend alone, the simple friendship shown by these beautiful people gives me back some hope. Thanks Parlay Revival for giving us what you do. Merry Christmas and a huge Happy New Year when it comes.
You are a very genuine group of people. I love the way you interact with the different cultures. It’s so nice seeing your interactions. Thank you for sharing your content. Much appreciated.
Thanks for another great episode. I particularly enjoyed my armchair adventure to the tropics as I sit here in 10 degree F weather in Boston! Merry Christmas to you all!!
Hey guys I did this Voice over at 3am on a layover to LA, and my pea brain read 1982 rather than 1942. History was never my strong point 🤣
I was born in '72 so was shocked to hear the war went on for so long 🤣
1st dive in Vanuatu, Except the other one! Anchor? lol
No biggie, you're on Vanuatu time:) We were up in Santo in 2023 on Ohana (Lagoon 500) and it sounds like I am the AJ Simon talks about....small world:)
Prayers to all affected by the 7.3 earthquake which hit Vanuatu a few days ago. Great video as all ways Parlay.

My heart breaks for the people of Vanuatu after the massive quake. 🥺🙏 that they are able to recover.
My grandfather landed ANZAC troops in Santo, and its been cool watching as you go thru many of the places listed in his logbook from the war.
That is a very valuable piece of history. Please get some advice on preserving if for future generations of your family.

Thanks for warming the heart of a Land Locked Sailor
It was worth millions when it was dumped, nature has made it priceless.
Loving these Vanuatu videos guys! ❤The locals seem so sweet.
Its so amazing to see people from other cultures sharing their lives. Colin is right, kids are the same anywhere in the world.
Hey! I'm AJ from Auckland... the big guy!
Kidding, of course 😂
What an amazing place. So great full that it still exists. The chiefs daughter is a treasure.

I wish all life was that simple and un-spoiled. Colin and crew, you did it again! It’s a beautiful thing you do, and I look forward to every week.
One of my favourite memories visiting Santo, nice people, nice place and the oranges don't look as good as they taste...
The Parlay crew has a wonderful gift . These interactions are stellar. The locals are as giving as we have seen.
