Thank you for not ignoring Anette! This is probably my favourite of her live performances (at least with a decent quality video on YT). I hope at some point you will check out some of her studio work too, preferably on the more ballady tracks like Eva, Meadows of Heaven, or Turn Loose the Mermaids. But no rush - just keep enjoying all the singers!
They can do what ever genre and keep top quality... perfect fit for Anette.

Anette has really beautiful, pure and "innocent" voice. And she has sort of soft charm. She singing Eva is one of my favorites.

Hi again, Joel. Great reaction to Nightwish as always. In my, not-so-humble, opinion, Slow Love Slow is one of Anette's best performances (along with Eva and Amaranth). Although Floor is my fave, I love Tarja's ethereal voice and manner, and I really enjoy Anette on songs that fit her vocal style. This one surely does. And the whole band was terrific on this slow jazz song. Hell, I almost thought I was camped out at a jazz club or piano bar. Thanks.
It was indeed inspired by 1930s American jazz nightclub music. Probably the song Anette performed best live. Most of other songs with Anette are best ingested from studio recordings, and there are many good ones.

Anette has a background as a jazz singer in her teens, she sang with her mother in a jazz band, maybe that's why Tuomas wanted to write her this special song.

This is second singer Anette Olson, she left the band a few months later and Floor took over.
Incidently Floor did a version of this in her solo shows which was also good 👍.
Annette is best song...she has a sexy, sultry voice made for Jazz! She reminds me of some of the jazz singers I got to see at the New Orleans Jazz Fest. You really need to go there, and just soak in all the artists performing! I remember one guy, up on stage with his obviously, very old guitar, and sang a bunch of Robert Johnson's music! It was incredible! Then you have the Gospel / Jazz Band Tent! It's a music lovers dream!

There is a bit shown in the music video of "Storytime", only it is black and white, but Anette's dress in the episode of "Imaginaerum" was red: long, with long gloves. And it was not end of the movie. The antagonists breaks in the dollhouse, action moves to different location where "Scaretale" is played. Fragments of that episode with Anette as the evil Snow white and Jukka beating crap out of the drums he had been gently stroking with brushes a song before.
Anette is for most Nightwish fans the least popular singer, but it is difficult to be the one taking over after such a popular singer as Tarja was amongst the fans. I love Anettes time in Nightwish. She is the original singer on many of their best songs. One underrated song is the Escapist.

Listen carefully and you hear how stripped back Marko sings here. He has commented that of those three singers Anette was the most difficult as he needed to be cautious not to run over her. Tarja an Floor has naturally much more louder voice.
Floor now has the same problem with Troy. She has to REALLY hold back not to overpower him when singing together.

One of my favorite Anette songs this one and Scare tale but i prefer the movie version a bit more then the live version. Oh yeah Nightwish made an actual movie called Immaginearum. About this man who's dying from dementa as you travel into his mind and his past picking up the pieces of the puzzle about his life and a not so great relationship with his daughter. Its a childrens move with a very dark twist. So maybe not so good for children lol. Thank you bye.

This would be the first song I can say that Annette sounds good. Thankfully, however, this is not the direction they decided to go with vocals….
