But sadly yes, here in America teachers who live alone or are single parents don't make a living wage. Destiny has achieved one of the quirkiest skoolie builds I've seen. I usually get bored with skoolie tours, but this one kept me watching. Her personality shines in this build. I found myself laughing throughout. I loved her "spice rack" and its empty bottles. While she was pulling it out, I said out loud, "You don't cook!" LOL Super fun and super creative young woman.
This is fantastic. Unrelated but summer 1995 I attended a Grateful Dead show in Highgate, Vermont. As my group of friends settled in to our campsite alongside thousands of other attendees, a yellow school bus pulled in and parked nearby. Once the driver turned the engine off, the back door flew open and a ramp descended. Harley after Harley was unloaded (maybe three or four). They’d altered the letters above the windshield that normally read “SCHOOL BUS”, to “COOL US”.
I've seen this before! Was it on a different tiny house channel? Yes, this IS the most creative skoolie ever! I love every bit of it. The spice rack is my favourite! And that hidden wardrobe - genius! Also this lady has an absolutely beautiful singing voice! Truly inspirational in so many different ways!

I love this layout. Doesn’t look like a hallway. Foyer and Living room area separate from kitchen area, maintenance and bathroom area, studio and bedroom area. I love the movable wall so you don’t see the cab area. Actually looks like a small apartment. Great job.❤

It's difficult to say what my favorite part of her bus is, but I do love that Jeff Goldblum pillow. 😂😂 also, as a fellow cat lady, I love the cats. 🐈⬛️🐈 Edited to add, a couple funny things I noticed and absolutely giggled about in her house... The Bill Murray pillow, good framed Mr. Bean in drag painting, and the fun waffle plate. Her house is full of fun Easter eggs.

You are the first person I’ve ever hear actually speak the truth about the compost toilet. I love you for that. Knock a few people off their van life high horse. If you call it a compost toilet somehow that won’t make you homeless but a van lifer. In the end it still a bucket. You are real and authentic and I dig it. You obviously aren’t of the “homeless” group I’m speaking of so I hope I’m not misunderstood. Congrats to you and all you’ve worked hard to achieve.
The work of a creative genius!! Music, carpentry, electrical, solar... I'm in awe. You could actually get paid to be a consultant, I imagine, for those of us with different talents not listed here. 🤨😸 I live in a conversion van with 2 tuxedo kitties, and my idea of a "build" is installing second hand furniture that I may or may not have spray painted first. 🤷♀️ I absolutely love the vintage vibe of the kitchen cabinetry, the appliances in drawers, all the beautiful colors throughout....but where were the kitties? 😳😿 Also, how do you keep display items, musical instruments, etc from moving or falling during travel? 🤔 Loved the song at the end 🙌💓
I enjoyed the tour and the lovely personality of the bus owner. She has a great sense of humor and her array of skills is impressive. Bravo Destiny! A true Renaissance woman who does it all. This is a lovely build. I liked that swing out TV wall, clever. Also impressed with your electrical and building skills. The song at the end was exquisite. What a charming woman! Please do not add background music to a video. It is an added level of noise to the voice and it only serves to irritate, not relax. It was stressful to the point of driving me slowly insane to put up with that droning background noise called music. It serves zero purpose and alienates viewers by stressing them out. Natural sounds only.

16:07 This is a fantastic solo self build. Personally though the bench you took 3 weeks to make, I’d have put all the electricals ( the heart of the bus workings you day) under the bench, and have the big door that swings all the way out, into another cupboard. It seems such a waste of a lot of space. It’s a fantastic bus. Well done.

I love everything about your bus except the shower. There's enough room in that bus to have a separate shower. (I really hate a wet bath.) A separate shower is just a must to me. You are the first person I’ve ever hear actually speak the truth about the compost toilet. I love you for that. Knock a few people off their van life high horse. If you call it a compost toilet somehow that won’t make you homeless but a van lifer. In the end it still a bucket. You are real and authentic and I dig it. You obviously aren’t of the “homeless” group I’m speaking of so I hope I’m not misunderstood. Congrats to you and all you’ve worked hard to achieve.

I live in a conversion van with 2 tuxedo kitties, and my idea of a "build" is installing second hand furniture that I may or may not have spray painted first. 🤷♀️
I absolutely love the vintage vibe of the kitchen cabinetry, the appliances in drawers, all the beautiful colors throughout....but where were the kitties? 😳😿 Also, how do you keep display items, musical instruments, etc from moving or falling during travel? 🤔

Please do not add background music to a video. It is an added level of noise to the voice and it only serves to irritate, not relax. It was stressful to the point of driving me slowly insane to put up with that droning background noise called music. It serves zero purpose and alienates viewers by stressing them out. Natural sounds only.

16:07 This is a fantastic solo self build. Personally though the bench you took 3 weeks to make, I’d have put all the electricals ( the heart of the bus workings you day) under the bench, and have the big door that swings all the way out, into another cupboard. It seems such a waste of a lot of space.

I love everything about your bus except the shower. There's enough room in that bus to have a separate shower. (I really hate a wet bath.) A separate shower is just a must to me. Otherwise, I love every inch of your bus! It's absolutely gorgeous. Destiny, you are a talented musician and artist, and I totally envy your life. I'm going to keep watching this channel!

4:44 yes. As a professional school bus driver of 10 years, I have been assigned seven different buses for service plus numerous different buses for substitute buses and every single one of them has always always leaked!
