He has as much as right as Zoro to die for his crew. Zoro expected himself to die too, he didn't let anyone else do it not because he was sure they'd die and he'd survive, but because he wanted to keep his crew safe and for himself instead. Chopper would've done that if he could.

I disagree, only one that ever faulted was Ussopp, he's the only one that directly fought Luffy for control. When Sanji left and later beat up Luffy, it was to protect him, not because he doubted them. He knew he was in over his head and did not want to drag them in. His loyalty, was in taking the burden by himself, in a sense it was his Zorro at thriller bark moment

This scene really showed how Zoro matured and become the bigger person of the crew, before they arrived at the new world, they where always goofing off and doesn't take the danger around them seriously, often underestimating their enemies, an example of this is kuma, which Zoro had a flashback with, they were slapped with the reality that there are a lot of more stronger opponents that kuma in the new world. When Zoro told luffy to get a grip, it meant that they can't make the same mistakes twice like they did with kuma and start fighting seriously, or else something bad might happen again, or worse they wouldn't survive. It's hard to imagine that this is the same man who used to get knocked off the ship by luffy or nap in random places
The Straw Hats are so devastating as a unit because there ISN'T a power structure. Luffy never pulls rank on them, but instead ALWAYS listens to what EVERYONE has to say. They're so close to each other that it doesn't matter how harsh they are, there's an unspoken understanding that everyone has the crew as whole's best interest in mind.
Everyone does what they can do and it is not a bad thing. Everyone has something the others lack and that way they complete eachother. Luffy understands having a crew as having a bunch of friends. He doesn't feel more important than they are. Also his dream is to become the man with most freedom on the seas so i don't see him trying to control others either.

No Luffy trusts Nami more than he ever trusted Zoro. When people said Nami betrayed his crew, luffy did not believe it. However, when Zoro killed 100 people at Whiskey Peak, he straight up thought Zoro was a killed the innocent and fought with Zoro. The bond between luffy and Zoro is far from the bond between Gol D Roger and Silvers Rayleigh. He is also more close to Ussop than he is to Zoro. However Zoro an adult and he is strong while Luffy is a 7 year old kid and is incredibly weak. I would like Zoro to start a new crew by himself.

Nope Zoro and luffy are nothing alike. Zoro is a beast literally while luffy is a kid. Zoro is strong while luffy is weak. Luffy is as weak as ussop. Why because he uses gears while Zoro and Sanji use their body strength.
I understand now why Zoro has been all serious since time skip. He really got traumatized by his powerlessness in protecting his crew mates from Kuma. So, he's been likely thinking that he can't drop his guard anymore since enemies could come from anywhere and attack them again. He doesn't want to be 'weak' anymore
He could kill all those marines in a split second, he walked passed them that way because he knows they are no threat at all. Notice that when the marines finally DID get up the stones to rush Zoro, he simply severed their swords just to demonstrate to the marines how far the gap between them is. He could paint that whole room red with one swing.

It’s not that he let his guard down. His confidence was because he knew those peeps are nothing compared to what he’s readied himself to fight/face eventually. So him slashing their swords like nothing, was his way of saying to not fuck with him or make him waste his time any longer. His words to Luffy also says the same. Waaa Zoro is just super cool! You better get off his way when he starts walking dead serious in front of you!
I love this. Zoro knows all too well the despair of facing an opponent you have no chance of beating, so he puts a lot of faith in Luffy to be the strongest to carry them over the finish line.

This scene really showed how Zoro matured and become the bigger person of the crew, before they arrived at the new world, they where always goofing off and doesn't take the danger around them seriously, often underestimating their enemies, an example of this is kuma, which Zoro had a flashback with, they were slapped with the reality that there are a lot of more stronger opponents that kuma in the new world. When Zoro told luffy to get a grip, it meant that they can't make the same mistakes twice like they did with kuma and start fighting seriously, or else something bad might happen again, or worse they wouldn't survive. It's hard to imagine that this is the same man who used to get knocked off the ship by luffy or nap in random places

The Straw Hats are so devastating as a unit because there ISN'T a power structure. Luffy never pulls rank on them, but instead ALWAYS listens to what EVERYONE has to say. They're so close to each other that it doesn't matter how harsh they are, there's an unspoken understanding that everyone has the crew as whole's best interest in mind.

Everyone does what they can do and it is not a bad thing. Everyone has something the others lack and that way they complete eachother. Luffy understands having a crew as having a bunch of friends. He doesn't feel more important than they are. Also his dream is to become the man with most freedom on the seas so i don't see him trying to control others either.

Am I the only one who thinks that luffys and zoros bound can't be compared to any other relationship? I just love the loyality zoro has for his captain. And how luffy would suffer for his crewmates; but he'd only suffer WITH zoro.

No Luffy trusts Nami more than he ever trusted Zoro. When people said Nami betrayed his crew, luffy did not believe it. However, when Zoro killed 100 people at Whiskey Peak, he straight up thought Zoro was a killed the innocent and fought with Zoro. The bond between luffy and Zoro is far from the bond between Gol D Roger and Silvers Rayleigh. He is also more close to Ussop than he is to Zoro. However Zoro an adult and he is strong while Luffy is a 7 year old kid and is incredibly weak. I would like Zoro to start a new crew by himself.

Then Nami punches them both and all of the sudden Luffy forgets that hes mad at Zoro. You should pay attention to the events before you say things that are wrong.

I like to regard this as a showcase of Luffy's emotional intelligence even if he seems so unfathomably dumb sometimes, he looks at Zoro for a bit to understand the situation and then addresses the problem immediately and directly, showing both respect for Zoro and admitting he slacked off

Nope Zoro and luffy are nothing alike. Zoro is a beast literally while luffy is a kid. Zoro is strong while luffy is weak. Luffy is as weak as ussop. Why because he uses gears while Zoro and Sanji use their body strength.

I understand now why Zoro has been all serious since time skip. He really got traumatized by his powerlessness in protecting his crew mates from Kuma. So, he's been likely thinking that he can't drop his guard anymore since enemies could come from anywhere and attack them again. He doesn't want to be 'weak' anymore
I love how Luffy is always the idiot or the childish one in the crew but he easily understood what Zoro was trying to say.

He could kill all those marines in a split second, he walked passed them that way because he knows they are no threat at all. Notice that when the marines finally DID get up the stones to rush Zoro, he simply severed their swords just to demonstrate to the marines how far the gap between them is. He could paint that whole room red with one swing.

It’s not that he let his guard down. His confidence was because he knew those peeps are nothing compared to what he’s readied himself to fight/face eventually. So him slashing their swords like nothing, was his way of saying to not fuck with him or make him waste his time any longer. His words to Luffy also says the same. Waaa Zoro is just super cool! You better get off his way when he starts walking dead serious in front of you!

Gotta love moments like this. Zero has always taken up that second in command position and handled it well. Never officially, but the crew gets it. Knows the stakes and how they can’t afford to stumble or they might get wiped out for real.

Zoro always talks about serious thoughts many times, he never plans to be a pirate but he really knows how to be one. 1) The way he talks to Chopper in Alabasta about why they have a captain like luffy and why they are following him. 2) Zoro's speech when Luffy and Usopp fights at Water 7. 3) Zoro's speech about fighting Kaido in the future while Sanji has been taken by Bege at Zunisha.

I don't give a fuck what anyone says, Zoro is the Vice-Captain / First Mate of the Straw Hats. He's the second strongest (Luffy being the first obviously), has the second highest bounty on the crew and was the first to join. He and Luffy have a special bond.

I'm 100% positive that if Oda was being interviewed and was asked whether Zoro is the Vice-Captain / First Mate, he would say that he is. I'm not sure if Oda has ever been asked that because I'm too lazy to google it. And honestly, even if Oda says, "there are no rankings amongst the Straw Hats" Many other people and myself see him as the Vice-Captain / First Mate.
