These look so yummy! I bet using Ginger Ale would make a nice variation as well. Definitely going to try these and then also see how it comes out using apple wedges too.
I don't buy soda either. I'm going to use club soda and add peach juice to it. Also, if nectarines are more ripe than peaches, I'll use those instead. I don't like crescent roll dough, I'll buy pie crust and cut it into 8 triangles.

I cook it all myself. I try to get a preliminary head count.... but even if they aren't there we fix them a plate. : ) Cooking is my love language and I enjoy it so much! My family helps to clean up.. they all have "jobs" to do in the kitchen. : ) I do prepare some things on Saturday! : )

In Wv we call these Mountain Dew dumplings. Of course we use Mountain Dew lol. The only difference is we heat the butter & sugar together to melt the sugar. Cool for few minutes then pour over the peach or apple dumplings! Yum

I just made this recipe tonight. I only used one can of croissants because there’s just two of us. I used 2 smaller peaches. This was absolutely delicious. I wasn’t expecting it to be that good. I cut the sugar in half. I cut the butter in half I added more cinnamon, because I absolutely love cinnamon I used the mini can of sprite. Baked it on 350 in my toaster oven for 35 minutes, and while the tops of the dumplings were pretty brown, the sprite and the juice at the bottom seem too liquidy, I was really worried. 😮 BUT After it cooled off for a little bit it was nice and thick, but not too thick , this was the easiest most delicious dessert I have ever made!! I couldn’t believe how absolutely delicious that was for something that’s so easy. I will definitely be serving this to guests when I have company over.
I'm about to put a pan of these in the oven in a few mins. My mama used to mske the best apple dumpings when I was growing up. We didn't have these cresent rolls back then, so she made her crust from scratch, but these are going to be so good with peaches. Can't wait to have a bite.

The peach dumplings look so delicious. When you opened the oven, I "could smell the aroma" in my imagination. Never in my wildest dreams did I think you would put ice cream on top. That was wonderful. Do you think it would be a mistake to substitute nutmeg for the cinnamon. ( It would be hard to create a simpler, but tastier desert than this.)
Great looking recipe, easy and looks very tasty! It looked like 2 cups of sugar in the measuring cup, not 1. Usually these glass measuring cups are 2 cups, making half of the measuring cup 1 cup.
We cannot find organic peaches anywhere in the grocery stores in Birmingham. We have a peach tree but never get any peaches because the squirrels knock them off or take a bite off of them before they ripen. It's soo aggravating. Hopefully this summer we can get some organic peaches so I know we're not feeding the kids roundup or other poisons.

Then they had a daughter between them and they named her Kay-Re. Lol. So when he would call our names, he would get tongue tied. Lol. My brother should’ve been named Ken or Kurt but he was named John. Lol.
