I agree with you Parnell you can always add more later don’t overdo cause you can’t take out after you out in. This came out so fantastic and so so appetizing looking but I wanted to go through the screen and grab that bowl right from your hands.

A great shortcut to a cobbler for sure but with that satisfaction factor there, love it! It was cool seeing you put the pie crust in the pot with the peaches, must taste incredible!

Hi Parnell! These sound so good! That is interesting about some people using Mountain Dew. Then again, Mountain Dew does have orange juice in it! Lol I like the mix of bigger and smaller dumplings. They look delicious, I have a bunch of canned peaches I might have to try in these. That is interesting that it wasn't super peachy. I had the same thing happen with my peach muffins I recently did, the peach flavor wasn't very prominent but they were still really good as I know this was!
Parnell this would be a awesome recipe when it is peach season in the summertime but I do understand frozen fruit are also picked at the perfect time for the perfect sweetness so it probably would be just as good with frozen peaches. I like your addition of the orange zest with a little bit of orange juice and all the spices. What a great way to use leftover pie crust in this dumpling recipe.
I love peaches. I love dumplings! I made an episode of stove top peach dumplings quite a while ago that were so good. I used biscuit mix, no mountain dew, lol! So I am do down for your version! I love the orange zest in there! 🍸💖
I just made my second stovetop peach "cobbler" and I'm thinking, "this is really giving peach dumplings. So, I had to come see if I was tripping. 🤣 I've made the other peach dumpling recipe sooooo many times, but being raised on actual dumplings I think the name is more fitting for this stovetop method. To me, fruit "dumplings" are when you boil fruit on the stove and either drop in pieces of pie crust or spoon in batter that cooks in the syrup--it sounds like we have the same definition, haha Let me know if you give this a try. Peach and orange go together surprisingly well!🍑🍊
