Oh my gosh Dude, you saved my sanity. My heart is crying. Three years ago l ordered these lights from Amazon and like most things from there. There were no instructions. Shame on Amazon! I didn't have time to research so l just bought temporary lights for over 100.00. Now l have to go cross county and needed to hook up those lights and after 30 min searching on TH-cam l finally found your video. Thank you thank you thank you...
I’m glad this was a major help! It’s my intentions to make this easier for everyone and I too often look up how to videos. Please Subscribe and check out my other videos as well. Let me know if you need any help too. I love helping people.
@@Goldie-dw3pd I don’t remember where the brown wire goes. Hit a Harbor Freight and get a multimeter for $5 and you can run 12vdc to see if it’s a positive line or negative. It could be a backup light, driving light, blinker light, ground light, or could be an auxiliary wire for driving lights outside the lamp.
I have a brown wire as well. Where would l put it? I found the answer from google. It runs the tail lights or running lights. So since l have two holes for tail lights l will put them in next to it.
I think it’s an auxiliary live for additional lights. Get a $5 multimeter and test for 12vdc when activating the various light events. Please Subscribe
I wish I could remember to tell you. Basically I use a drill bit that is slightly larger than the hole in the rivet head in hopes to get the head to fail to loosen it to pull out or push it threw. As you drill part of the rivet head it might start to spin as it gives way, at this point I stop and pull it out with pliers. I have been removing a bunch of rivets using this method, even on something that I didn’t want to scratch the paint and it works perfect.
Thank you for that in-depth response! I'll give all of your suggestions a try! I've got to change mine out, as I accidentally backed into a tree this weekend and broke one. LOL

Just curious, those should be 3/16" rivets. What size drill bit did you use to drill them out?

@@wcs39204 lol been there! I think I have broken several tail lights backing into things. Luckily these are common parts.
