Big recession coming this is the beginning of a massive slowdown.
I personally wouldn't be getting back in touch with people who have requested a quote from me but haven't went ahead with the work it screams of desperation.
Its nothing personal, its business, they pay for the work i have won big jobs from following up with old customers and quotes where they wasnt accepted. take the pride out of it, its strictly business.
I understand that but from my point of view I've already spent time viewing their job and giving them a free quote so I'm not wasting any more time on them. Each to their own fella!
also its quite good customer service, people like to feel important and that you thought about them. thats the stigma i mean mate when worrying about looking desperate, if you get a £1000 job from a simple text or call, dont worry about sounding desperate you will be paid.
A lot of quotes I do they don't even reply, I call them tyre kickers or dreamers. Too many people have champagne taste but only have beer money It will be a cold day in hell before I get in touch with them again. Luckily we make enough hay when the sun is shining that the lean winter doesn't affect us.
