Thank. You. All. So. Much. For. Your. Patience. Long story short, right after Episode 2 came out, we had an opportunity to premiere an episode in front of a live audience in NYC, which has always been the dream! So you'd imagine we would premiere this episode... but we decided to actually work on and finish Episode 4. That one is... quite the special. A little flip flop of work but here we are with the completed back half of this series! This one was a crazy one... very... revealing to say the least haha. Let me know your thoughts? Is plastic surgery a good thing? See you next THURSDAY, November 7th at 9 am ET for the grand finale, our 60 minute special.
Takes alot of guts to wear a jock strap in front of the camera and talk about your insecurities to the whole world. We appreciate how vulnerable and open you are Tejas. Keep up the great work!
how did it take me so long to realize that you are literally wearing rose-tinted glasses in all of the scenes of the failed relationship. such a nice detail that most people probably didnt miss
@@supercoolcow100 I scarcely know this channel but it seems like every one of your comments on this guy is negative... Do you have a personal vendetta against him or something? Why would you put so much effort into hating?
"If you love yourself 10% and someone comes along and loves you 20%, you might think they love you a lot if you're in a mindset of low self-worth. But if you love yourself 100% and someone comes along and only loves you 20%, you'll find yourself asking, 'Where's the other 80%?'" WHAT A MIND OPENER
I love how you mix science and emotions. You do the experiments yourself so your audience doesn't have to. Adding Jacey's take on your failed relationship was a pivotal moment in today's episode. It seemed that she really helped you understand what went wrong or was missing in the relationship. We all need someone like her. I love the series! I hope you continue to make more educational and entertaining docuseries.
Not only did he step in front of a camera and expose his deepest insecurities, but he also relived his past relationship, reenacting fond memories-all for us to watch in a short TH-cam docuseries. That takes serious dedication. Well done!
24:22 All the young guys reading this, if you find yourself in a relationship you're not happy in or feel not respected enough. what Jacey said at the end really is that, have Boundaries! us boys never have any boundaries specially when we're young and we just let anything slide as long as we have someone in our life that is willing to love us and more importantly make us feel loved but that is the demise of your relationship that your partner eventually notices it and some will take advantage and some will feel like you're too immature for them and leave. As a man Having strong boundaries will save you so much heartbreak and self loathing when things go south, because you will know why that person is not right for you.
As an 17 year old who struggles with this topic on the daily, your videos bring so much comfort and help me see everything a little differently, love this!!!
As someone who makes art to process my life and inner worlds (often being vulnerable in public spaces & places like the internet), I want to say thank you for being so vulnerable in this series. You're really opening yourself to the online world through this series and it's incredibly beautiful and insightful. Excited to see the next episode! :)
The quality of these videos are amazing. You are a reminder of what TH-cam could have become. Edit: I've just gotten to the end. This is one hell of a ride and I cannot wait for the next episode!
13:20 This gave me some hope. I had cancer as a kid in my cheek and the radiation they used to cure it impacted the development which has made it more asymmetrical than it would be otherwise and honestly as I've become an adult it's really hurt my mental state a lot. However I do like some of my other features like my eyes. Thx for this documentary
same bro, I also had cancer and also have many deformities, I definitely look fine, but I do have many insecurities. I also lost my leg, but that honestly was not bad. It's the face that makes me insecure every time I see myself in the mirror. But sports (MTB) gym and good friends has made me realize that is not all about attractiveness. Soon I will get plastic surgery, but I'm young, only 15 so right now its not the time.
ultimately be as healthy as possible and if social media makes you feel bad then get off of it or limit your time, you are in control of your own life and choices
Wow, you are mega mad intelligent and your self awareness seems hight! No "chiseled" jaw or "ripped" abs could ever accomplish that! As a whole we need to work on decolonizing our minds!
been struggling with being insecure in my own relationships. Its nice to see fully that I am not alone, nice to feel seen rather than the vague idea of that statement.
Sometimes I understand the “rose tinted glasses” argument where how you perceived a situation in the past is completely different to how you understand it now. Sometimes though, I can’t help but feel someone is saying that “This wasn’t special anything that special” or “This really didn’t mean as much as you thought”. If you’re using love as an excuse for mishaps then it can be unhealthy, but for someone to downplay someones emotions can be even more hurtful. Either way I saw a good example of understanding in this video and compassion, good job Tejas!
Agree100%. I think this dude is just making the same mistake I made when I was younger, having too many female friends or being too close to them. It cuts away at your self-esteem after a while
Holyyyy. I actually loved this Tejas. I don't really like documentaries. But I found this so informative and fun to watch. You know it's the little things in this video that I really appreciate. For example the cut with you helping doc with the mic. Just felt so amazing and REAL!
the takeaway for me is self worth is true wealth. i realised this when he said "fortunately i dont have a feeling/need to get plastic surgery" and it seemed as if you are more "rich" and full in that sense. and those who desperately need to alter their appearance are truly "poor". wealth is really all a state of mind and its a state of positively seeing and appreciating yourself
15:42 asking international students at american universities about attractiveness doesn't seem to be a very good sample group to prove what you're saying it proves
@@Joshpodsit's a bad sample for the question, not only cause they're all male and probably young considering they're college students, but also because they're all people who were interested in america and, by extension, american culture. the actual conclusion of the study is that male international students have similar facial preferences in women, saying it means "beauty is objective" is a huge stretch considering that there are much better studies to back up both sides of this debate.
Exactly. Plus, I think international student's families would on average have more wealth, higher education levels, among other differences, so their upbringing would be not be average.
THE TRUTH IS THAT SOME PEOPLE WILL FIND YOU UGLY & SOME WILL FIND YOU GOOD-LUCKING. EVEN IF THE FIND YOU UGLY, THEY'LL GET USED TO YOU EVENTUALLY. DON'T LET IT DETERMINE OR TAKE OVER YOUR LIFE.
my thoughts on plastic surgery is that if you get it thats fine but don't push products saying you can look like me if you take this, that or whatever. I hate the celebrities that push skin products or health food/pills on to the middle/ lower class who can't afford this cosmetic surgeries.
I think you need to do a fifth video because it’s not just how you look and what you say and how you say it verbally, it’s also how you LOOk when you say it - so body language. I’d argue, that’s the most important. We all analyse body language, without necessarily knowing it. One can look gorgeous, say all the right things but if you body language is off, that’s a massive red flag. I think women are particularly good at that. They have to be for their own safety, at the very least. We need to know a good looking, smooth talking creep, when we encounter one. You are really talented at making these videos. Well done!
Hey Tejas i don't know if your going to read this message but here goes nothing i guess... I personally would consider to have a lot of experience in falling victim to "beauty standards" i guess you could call it, mainly because i used to be obssesed with the way i looked, i would look up on the internet everyday how to better a part of me and to me this is interesting because i would argue that the environment we assimilate ourselves with can also change the way we look at beauty, for example the way i changed my facial structure to fit into what i would consider the "beauty standard" around my family, so basically around 2 years ago i decided to get braces, i went to the dentist and they did the scans and now i've had braces for a little over 2 years, and let me explain why this is interesting, mainly because my teeth we're already perfect before i got braces, and this shows on the video too but i somehow managed to find a problem that wasn't there, i went ahead and got braces to "fix" my teeth when i really didn't need them, and i believe this is because i was conditioned into believing that braces we're better looking than teeth without braces because everyone in my family has had braces, the difference is they actually needed them unlike me, i guess i just felt pressured into getting them even tough my teeth we're perfect before and to be completely honest i will always regret that. Anyways i'm sorry for sharing a lil much just hoping someone can relate to this or atleast find this useful in some type of way, because i know this video really helped me understand that there's really nothing you should change about your body (in terms of beauty) and that the best attractive trait isn't something physical but i would say it's the confidence of when you embrace the way you look instead of trying to look like something your not. Thank you ❤️
Plastic surgery isn’t that bad tbh But a lot of people have lost their face structure if anything their body composition due to high refine sugar and alcohol consumption without even realizing it I wish i knew that earlier my twenties i only had one teacher in elementary school who taught us about nutrition in how to eat Healthy and stuff my jawline and my abs are defined I can see and feel this change today
For me, too much starts to creep in when you're talking implants that would be gained in the gym. I believe you should physically have your body at it's peak to see what naturally possible before talking about implants to look like you workout.
tehas baby it’s not you - she was avoidant and shut down when things got too intimate. it’s an awful feeling to go through and the fact that you made this into an outlet shows your strength
