Hey! I saw a pretty cool mod at the psx place that allows you to play with xinput on the PS3! I don't know how to use it myself (though i tried, i just couldn't get it to work on hen) so I'd like to know if there's a chance you would be covering it in the near future :)
@@MrMario2011 according to the manual instructions it should be posible to set, on anything larger than 500 GB I doubt 1% will cause any issues, but doing it on any HDD with 80/120 GB and God forbids in a 40GB one, it's too aggressive imho

For some odd reason, everytime i try to install the app it say "Not enough space on system storage." Even tho got 1 gb of space left. After that message i get a corrupt file that everytime i try to delete it says "cannot access system storage." Anyone else get this?

This is a great find! Ive been slithering my way through a TON of your videos and have gotten my ps2 (fmcb>smb>opl) and ps3 ss running .hen and got some ps/ps2 games installed. Ps3 games i need to invest in some to back those up before I'll have any. My questions come in with SMB. Have you any experience with a NAS server hosting all of your backups? Would I be able to SMB load games to my ps2/ps3 the same way I do with my internal PC storage? I know plugging a usb into the ps3 is faster in most cases, but I have recently built a home use NAS to house my families things including all of my game backups and envision linking the ps3 to it and downloading games to the ps3 over night.
Or is there possibly an active discord/forum of ps3 modders that i can join to hit up faqs or discuss some inquiries? *Edit i joined your discord from the description, I may be redirected from within there!

No joke, I thought this video would've been the answer to how I could get my save game data from a HDD that's inside a PS3 of mine that's currently in the YLOD state. This is unfortunate but claiming some extra space on the drive is cool too, just not something I'm looking for.
Unfortunately if you've never Jailbroken the console and dumped the eid_root_key from it, you won't be able to decrypt your hard drive. If you've never done that your only course of action to get the data off there is to repair the console.
@@MrMario2011 I looked into jailbreaking before but it seemed complicated over the easy Wii modding and I didnt want to chance things by ruining my PS3s. I didn't jailbreak that PS3 (unfortunately it was also a backwards compatible model, E01) and if there's soddering required to repair said console then I may not be able to do so as I don't have the experience and it's tricky to find things like old style capacitors here in Canada. Although, what I'm wondering, and this may not work, but if I get another phat PS3, the same BC E01 model, would the drive even work in it. I guess the PS3 could tell it was in a different system so it may not recognize it and want to format it. However, I do have another phat PS3 (non-BC) and I finally jailbreaked it. I used the Evilnat 4.88 CFW and then in safe mode used a 3.55 Rebug update and brought it down. Wanting to do PS2 games on the PS3 and I wanted Rebug so hopefully I'm on the right track and that I'm on the way to getting PS2 games to play on it. I will also attempt HEN on the super slim one I have but that's for later.
By the way does PS3 would recognize a hard larger than 1 TB inside ? wanted to put a 2TB SSD but, i wasen't sure wether the console would support such a large hard drive or no i just place a 1TB SSD in it

Unfortunately the PS3 has that odd 1.75 TB limitation, so you could run this on any compatible drive at least.

Yeah too bad you can't. You can use a larger drive, and force it to be 1.70TB in size and it will work.

You won't be accessing that HDD unless the PS3 it is paired to is working, or you by chance ever dumped the EID root key.
