I think this will be my first project too, because 1) The width stays narrower which is the wish of a lot of knitters 2) You can make it any length vs the limits of tube hats 3) The style retains lots of stretch 4) It's drop-dead gorgeous (showing off advanced-looking skills) & looks so puffy & comfortable too ... Win-Win!
Thank you! Amazing video on braiding (especially double braiding) I love your close up views and your steady hand when teaching. Perfect speed, sound, and timing. Love this video! Thank you for sharing and helping all of us!
Your sound is so much better and your videos are really fantastic tutorials. Thank you so much for sharing with us all. You are very talented. Hugs, Lyn
I LOVE this! I definitely have to get this machine now! Fabulous tutorial and don't worry about your sewing lol. I can't do it well either but thankfully it hides well😀. Thanks again
This was the very first thing I made on my addi. Lol even before a hat! I made a black one and use it when I push my hair out of the way when I do my makeup! Lindy x
@@ParchCraftAustralia That's to funny. You went directly to the tougher patterns, that's skills. I have a challenge for you, a hat. I have seen people make this pattern, but with a closed top th-cam.com/video/Vp-Xrwew62Y/w-d-xo.html mixed with a pom pom th-cam.com/video/xGsl_cqy12s/w-d-xo.html . I seen this done is white with a faux fur puff. it was soo awesome. I love when someone can mix and match a pattern.
You can make this on the 48 needle Senrtro but you would need to make it into a flat panel first. 110 rows is just an estimate tensions can vary on each machine and with different yarns
Don’t worry about your sewing. I cannot crochet. But could you use crochet to close the ends instead since it’s some thing you’re more comfortable with?
As a beginner, I thought I would try this - so I knitted 110 rows (with waste yarn either end) - but the tube is almost twice as wide as what you show on your video as I did it on the Addi King (I don’t have a smaller Addi). Not sure what to do now! Do I create a double plain/twist with a couple of knitted rows in between, or do I just do the one twist as you show, but after trying to measure out which stitches I should drop/keep? Did you mention the size of Addi you used before you started the demo? Oh No! I did scroll back and yes, you mention the Addi Pro. What can I do with my King sized result? (Sorry!)
Love this but… have tried to make it twice (I am an advanced knitter) and as soon as I add the braid it will not lay flat and shrinks the length. I am using the addi pro. Anyone else have this problem? How do I fix this? Thanks.

You are so welcome!
How could anyone dislike this..it’s beautiful!! Can’t wait to make one to hold my hair back when I do a face mask or something!
Wow I'm so glad you like my patterns 😊😊
Littlejohn's Yarn you bet I do!

lol, you skipped right over the hat😄 that's awesome.
Littlejohn's Yarn you know what? I still haven’t made a hat! Scarves and pumpkins and cowls and all sorts of things but no hats lol

Thank you for sharing this video, I love the double braided headband, I have never seen one before! You have given me another gift idea for Christmas.

This is great. I love it.
Thank you for the tutorial ❤
Thank you for doing this excellent video tutorial. I’m looking forward to trying this technique.
Deborah Parsons I'm so glad u like it😘
can I use waste yarn when casting on and then slip the 6 stitches off that instead of at the end?
This is very beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
I really like this, thanks 😊
I love this look
thank you
Okay.... I'm about to do this... Wish me luck! I'll post a pic on the Facebook group when I'm finished!
Good luck I can't wait to see it
How did know to do this??? It's beautiful!
That is really pretty!💜💜💜
can this be done on the 48 needle Sentro and would it still be 110 rows?

@@BonnieGruesome how many stitches did you drop? 4?

Just found this, a cute fast project.
How do you cast off the remaining stitches??
Very nice!
Really creative work!!!
Beautiful! Great idea!!! ✌❤️😊
Thank you
Can you tell me how many teeth are on the addi express? I love this tutorial and will definitely make myself one. It’s winter here now so good timing.
the small Addi has 22 and the Large Addi has 46
Can you tell me what size you used for this tutorial? 22 stitich, bc your tubes look thinner than the 48 needle one I have. Thanks.
Thank you for the video I will be making that thank you 😊
is it JERSEY the big HeadBrand ?
Beautiful thanks for sharing

90 rows on an addi kingsize which is 46 needles. 4 rows of braid effect and grabbing 4 threads per braid,
Is this on a 40?
Brilliant thank you so much
Bravissima 👌👍👏👏👏
Thank you
