Wow, double wow, triple wow! As a newbie, i thought special yarn effects like the braiding would take me years to learn. But now, thanks to this tutorial, I can apply this procedure to hats, mittens and socks! Thanks so much for the clear directions!
This is amazing! I'm new to the knitting machine, but I am already in love with it! I've crocheted for years, but never really got addicted to it. But with the knitting machine I can't stop! Thank you so much for your awesome tutorials! I can't wait to see your other videos! ❤❤❤❤
I love the head band! I want to knit a scarf on my Addi that has braids. This is the first tutorial that I've seen, it came up when I logged into TH-cam. You're instructions are spot-on! I won't be looking for any other videos on this stitch. Thank you so much for sharing this stitch pattern! ❤
I am just getting started and you have made me excited about doing so. Still waiting for my machine. I would love for more videos. You do an awesime job explaining
Yes...for the headband...this will give you the 2 braids whether 40 pin or 46 pin. If you want to do another project just figure out how many braids you want and then calculate the number of spaces.
Thanks for the great video! I also watched how to attach the heart carabiner video too. But on that one you had both sides with waste yarn. I want to know how to do the braided headband on to a heart carabiner because you don’t use the waste yarn. Any hints or guidance would be greatly appreciated!!!
You would have ro change colors in that section...could be done I guess just be a lot of work. Or do your under layer another color and braid it through
This is great! Thank you so much for taking the time to teach others. I saw in one of your replies that you are an expert crocheter... would you mind doing a video on how to close these tubes using the single crochet method? I know how to knit but I've watched so many videos on how to do this and none of them make sense because they aren't closing a tube. Right now, I have all the pieces of a fox but can't figure out how to close it up. I also did a turban pattern and it says to single crochet it around. So confused! Anyway, any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks so much. Your video was very detailed, with great angles to see what you were doing. Look forward to seeing more. May I ask where you got the cardboard face cutout that you displayed the headband on. at the beginning of the video? Thanks, Nicole
I would say it should work yes however if tou want to do a few less like maybe 88 rows instead you will get the same result and the headband will have some stretch
You may have to play around with these counts a bit depending on tension and yarn used. Newborn 60 rows O-3 months 65 3-6 months 70 6-12 months 75 12-18 months 80 18 months - teen 85 Adult - 90- 95
Love this video. Would love to do a blanket on the Addi with the braids. Any suggestions how to close the ends where they’re flat and not the pulled closure?
I suggest closing with a crochet hook. Pull up a loop from one side then alternate pulling loops through each other from aide to side. Let me know if that makes sense...if not I'll try ro make you a video to demonstrate.
@@styledandstitchedbyruth7611 ok think i understand. Ive done the crochet hook side to side closure on blankets so one end will have the 3 loops to count as 1 stitch on closing?
The 40 pin doesn't have a cou ter if that is the machine tou are asking about? I added a digital counter with self adhesive velcro on the metal piece that holds the sensor. Then I just leave my counter lay on .y stand so I can use it on alternate machines
Loved this video. So did my dog.on the heart carabiner video. When your dogs barked mine did too.

Good clear description and visuals. I’m new to this as due to arthritis it’s very painful & tedious to knit with needles.
Excellent tutorial, Ruth! Thanks for adding braiding to my repertoire! Please make more videos?
Super cute! Thanks for the tutorial, I'm looking forward to trying it out!

I think a lot of knitters would appreciate and benefit from your videos - instructions are so clear and easy to follow ❤️
Thank you so much. I just try to do what I miss when I watch videos.
Tip - get yourself a latch hook for the braiding. You’ll wonder why you didn’t find it sooner.
Thank you for the hint...I am an advanced crocheted so I prefer the ceochet hook but others will likely find value in that tip
The braid is very nice. I do mine with scrap yarn at both ends. It's much easier to finish with a crochet hook that way, and easily find the stitches.
Thanks for lesson. Now I can try it. 🤗
I am just getting started and you have made me excited about doing so. Still waiting for my machine. I would love for more videos. You do an awesime job explaining
Thank you. I enjoy helping where I can. I know I struggled when I started and wanted to help others. I plan to do many more videos.
Simple but so pretty.
The braid is so beautiful
Thank you for sharing your beautiful work I love the look of this
Thank you for sharing the video with us. I really like the way these are made. It’s only to do list of ear warmers
Wow. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful fantastic
Love your explanation and camera view. I wish it showed everything from start to finish and closed. No carabiner. Just straight.
I also have a video for creating another closure...so you would do the heart headband and then close the alternate way
That's beautiful thank you
Precioso!! Si me encantaria aprender a hacer blusas frescas en la sentro!! Muchas gracias
Well done❤
Super appreciate your video hope to see more of your great ideas soon!
Thank you
This is wonderful. Thank you for sharing this with us. New at this so I’m looking for things to make.
Love 💕 this tutorial.. I will definitely try to make this..😎
Your instructions were so clear. Thank you. Could you possibly do a video on socks or slipper socks
I will definitely put that on my tp do list
Thank you for this video, your instructions are clear, not to fast, good camera angle and easy to follow can't wait to make one. Will be a new Sub.
Do you have a video with braid on a hat?
Thanks for this well done video.. I subscribed and am looking forward to more of your work!
Thank you so much
Love it 😍 Ty 😁 Great video.
Thanks you make it look easy!
You're welcome
Great video! I have the Addi, so would you still do 5 stitched drop 2 and then 5 stitches drop 2 more when casting off? I hope you do more videos!
Yes...for the headband...this will give you the 2 braids whether 40 pin or 46 pin. If you want to do another project just figure out how many braids you want and then calculate the number of spaces.
Thanks I was abt 2 ask this question ❤️❤️
great video thanks!!

Just add the waste yarn to both ends of the tube when making the braid then follow instructions to add to the heart caribener
How do you do the closure of the black and white one without crocheting the ends?
I have a video on my channel showing how I do closures with no crochet
Love this just 1 questions how hard would it be to make the braids a different color
You would have ro change colors in that section...could be done I guess just be a lot of work. Or do your under layer another color and braid it through
Is it any easier using only one strand of waste yarn at end, rather than 5-7?
Thank you awesome video
Thank you

Candice I will try to work on a video showing how to crochet the ends very soon

Thank you. I purchased a cricut file off 9f etsy and printed on cardstock.
Hi great video thanks, can you tell me if the 92 rows on the twist headband would fit my 10 year old daughter or would I need less rows? Many thanks 😊
I would say it should work yes however if tou want to do a few less like maybe 88 rows instead you will get the same result and the headband will have some stretch
@@styledandstitchedbyruth7611 that's great thank you. 😊
Do you happen to have row suggestions for child and infant size?
You may have to play around with these counts a bit depending on tension and yarn used.
Newborn 60 rows
O-3 months 65
3-6 months 70
6-12 months 75
12-18 months 80

@@styledandstitchedbyruth7611 do both ends with waste yarn lke where you have the blue yarn on the headband ?
Yes there is waste yarn on both ends

@@sunnydaisy5906 that is correct
Does the braid change the circumference of the tube? If I did this on a hat would it make it tighter?
It will tighten your stitches a bit
Did you replace your counter and if so do you have a video on it ?
The 40 pin doesn't have a cou ter if that is the machine tou are asking about? I added a digital counter with self adhesive velcro on the metal piece that holds the sensor. Then I just leave my counter lay on .y stand so I can use it on alternate machines
I want to know what other craft you know how to do cuz I'm trying to make a lot of stuff too
I am just seeing your comment however I crochet and I make my own tags and poofs for my work. I also make apply cups
Can you make the braids wider?? Say can you drop 4? Or will only 2 drops work?
You can drop more than 2 yes.
What size machine are you using
40 pin
Question- if we do this on a 48 pin, would we do 7 drop 2 then 7 drop 2 or would the 5-2-5- still work?
Yes it will still work ... you can adjust by reducing the number of stitches between
How do you prevent it from being too tight
The braid? Use a larger crochet hook. Ensure you skipped enough rows.
What is the name of the heart shape to get it in amazons? Thanks
Just search heart caribener
The link in attached below the video
How do you sew the heart shape in
I have another video thay shows how that is done...follow my channel and you will see that video
What size machine are you using?
40 pin
