@brandonbowerstx hahahaha! That was funny! And I’ve meant to reply to you, sorry for the delay! I don’t know exactly how many fps each longer barrel adds, but def the 32” shoots a lot harder. There are also two types of barrels, smooth and rifled, as you can shoot all kinds of shells with this thing… and mr Texoma PP here is actually the man with all that!
@AirgunAlley : All good. And a 12 gauge air rifle sounds like a new item I'd be interested in. I suspect you could use .69 pumpkin balls from BP loads with a wad under it as you load.
But I did specifically say that in this video I wasn’t going to go into all that - given that it’s an old rifle with countless detailed/technical reviews already made. This video was mainly made to show the kind of penetration you get through a whole variety of materials. You can easily see the distance from where I’m shooting, as I’m always filming from various angles
while impressive, I do have a criticism. when stacking wood, leaving a space doesnt really test the limits. when stacking wood for a true penetration test, you stack next to one another with no space. when wood is tacked together with no space it effectually becomes 1 piece. if you include a space it becomes 2 pieces attached. if that was your goal, then ok, but normally it would be to see how much penetration/destruction occurs from the impact. also, after showing it penetrating/exiting the 10% gel edge wise, you have to ask was there any doubts about it penetrating the wood x2 ? just some thoughts.
Hey thanks a lot for this! The reason why I separate the wood is purely visual. To capture better what’s happening, with the slow motion shot. As per why shoot anything else after the gel, I guess the point of my videos is to show the different effects of these guns have on a whole range of elements…
Remember when you first started with less lethal pistols, this is extremely not 😂but I love it excellent fantastic very good video my friend as always regards Craig 😎🇬🇧🇺🇸💪👍
Hello my dear old friend! I know you’re not crazy about this stuff, but indeed I feel like the journey has taken me a long way! Hope all is well with you Craig!
0.72" is 12 gauge, so have you thought about using 12 shotgun slugs? They typically weigh 1 oz. (437 grains), so you'd get significantly higher velocity. One possible concern: Those pellets may have hollow bases, which expand to seal against the bore, but shotgun slugs don't, so you might need a wad, for a good seal.
Amazing 1700 Joules of energy in an air gun. By comparison, an average Glock shooting a 9 mm bullet produces approximately 1150 fps (350 mps) giving muzzle energy of 338 ft lb (458 joules), less than one-third of the energy in this air gun pellet. As an air gun user (outside the USA) I hope they don't change the laws anytime soon, as they have in the UK, to limit the energy.
Here in the UK, that is about 100 times as powerful as an airgun is allowed to be. You could own one of these on a firearm certificate, but then you would be subject to all the other restrictions of a firearm (have to belong to a gun club, have to keep it locked up and separate from the ammo, only shoot it on Home Office approved ranges) so you might as well just buy a full bore rifle and be done with it, although this would be an interesting thing to own just because of what it is...
Hi there! It’s an old gun and there are countless technical videos out there. I just concentrated on the penetration power in this one. Hope you can find your answers!
The new tunnel of destruction is going to need to hold 10 stainless trays. You tend to be pretty good at keeping shots centered horizontally. You could try setting the trays tall instead of wide. Give yourself more play on the vertical.
Are you saying that I’m…. a…. decent shooter?? 🥹🥹🥹 That means the world, coming from an airgun master like yourself! And as always you’re spot on. I ordered new trays, they’re a few inches bigger. Then I started building the new tunnel with … 12 positions! Then the trays arrived and… they’re of a different material. A lot weaker. Almost like made of tin. Soooo I had to dissemble everything and start over. Long story short, I kept them horizontal and (only) made 6 positions. For now… more work to be done. As always, thank you my dear friend!
Hello Alley!! 👋 AWESOME 😮!! The reciol is like a 12!! My dream would be to have one of these as a repeater, but I would buy it anyway!! Then I think: what's the point of a firearm? 🤔😃 Plus 1700 Thank you very much!!! 🤠😎

@@rick31869 he tested the muzzle velocity and energy. The most he got was 1260 ftlbs. Most light load 1 oz slugs get around 1500-1600 ftlbs. Some custom 3 1/2 inch super magnum loads I've made can exceed 3000 ftlbs.
Nope @@rick31869
That CGI lightning strike! 🤪
Crazy power - that was a heck of a lot of water.
Would've been good to see the gnomes with the slugs for an accurate representation of scale
2 inch lumber is now 1-1/2 inches. It was 1-3/4 inches, a long time ago and you still find it in old buildings.
Ahh! That’s where the discrepancy is!! Thank you so much for this!!
Nice intro my friend. Very cool rifle. This is a cannon. Looks like quite a stiff recoil. Great video as always. Cheers from your friend in Norway 😃
Thank you Maestro! Hopefully this will make it to your channel as well. But then you may have to change your shooting range hehe
@@AirgunAlley Very true my friend. Otherwice I make holes in the walls so I can see into the neighbours 😁😆
Oh man you got a Zeus niceeee ive been jealous of that thing for so long, awesome video as usual and yup im well jealous lol
Hey mate, it all starts with huge scopes…. Looks like you’re on the right track… the Zeus will be next! (Never mind the laws 😂😂)
😎😎wow what a beast thx for sharing
If you were to compare the velocity of this gun to a firarm, which gun would it be?
@@aneeshvmangalam7757 12ga firing 3” slugs is about the same Joules of energy.
That thing is sweet nice video man
Thanks so much Josh!!
13:07 - The scope ring fastener is loose. Nice video.
😂 I just asked you for this one🤘sweet hopefully I'll find other one as well. I bet my umarex hammer will go threw at least 4 those plates if not all 5? That thing did well in the skedy o can
A 2x8 is 1-1/2 x 7-1/4. Fun demo!
CRAZY👏👏
🙌🏼
Wow😮 I'm speechless...
😎🙌🏼
I'm new to air guns does this .72 Cal ship directly to your house or does it take a FFL dealer to buy?
Directly to your house in 99% of the States….
Dude I never thought you'd have an air gun you can bear hunt with! I guess I will have to get in some air rifles.
Damn you are hilarious. I love these badass new air guns. Your antics are the best.
Thank you so much!! I really appreciate you! Wishing well my friend
What is the difference between the 16/24 & 32 inch barrels?
8”😂
@@texomaprecisionpellet7545 : K, I walked into that one. What I mean was performance .... and from 16 to 32 ... ~200fps
@@brandonbowerstx there is more performance from the 32” but it is not exponential. You are probably at 60-70% of maximum power with the 16”
@brandonbowerstx hahahaha!
What will it do to ballistic body armor?
U have not said a distance with the Zeus 72 how far and drop ???
But I did specifically say that in this video I wasn’t going to go into all that - given that it’s an old rifle with countless detailed/technical reviews already made.
This video was mainly made to show the kind of penetration you get through a whole variety of materials. You can easily see the distance from where I’m shooting, as I’m always filming from various angles
absulutly awsome
It truly is :)
What is that rifle designed for? Big game hunting with an air gun? Where do you find the very high pressure air tank and who can refill it? CRAZY!
Any dive shop anywhere in the world is able to fill the tanks
while impressive, I do have a criticism.
when stacking wood, leaving a space doesnt really test the limits.
when stacking wood for a true penetration test, you stack next to one another with no space. when wood is tacked together with no space it effectually becomes 1 piece.
if you include a space it becomes 2 pieces attached. if that was your goal, then ok, but normally it would be to see how much penetration/destruction occurs from the impact.
also, after showing it penetrating/exiting the 10% gel edge wise, you have to ask was there any doubts about it penetrating the wood x2 ?
just some thoughts.
What kind of range does it have?
Wow, love it
Amazing! Fun!
DAMN That’s some cannon.
Bravo 👌
Thank you!!! 🙌🏼👏🏼
"Oh my god!"
"Just call me Zeus"
😅😅😅
😂🙏🏽
Insanely impressive!!!
🙌🏼
Amazing 1700 Joules of energy in an air gun. By comparison, an average Glock shooting a 9 mm bullet produces approximately 1150 fps (350 mps) giving muzzle energy of 338 ft lb (458 joules), less than one-third of the energy in this air gun pellet. As an air gun user (outside the USA) I hope they don't change the laws anytime soon, as they have in the UK, to limit the energy.
I much agree with you Ray, with everything you said. And thank you for watching!!
I would like to know how far you can shoot that gun you should try 40 Yards all the way to 150
Hi there! It’s an old gun and there are countless technical videos out there. I just concentrated on the penetration power in this one. Hope you can find your answers!
I was wondering when you' d get to this beast!
Oh mw tooo!! Hahaha it’s been for ever :) thanks so much
awesome
That's one mountain of a rifle, a mount Olympus sized one. Oh no, the tunnel of destruction's been destroyed.
Thank you as always my friend!! Oh with a repeater, this thing would just be PERFECT!
I truly appreciate you Rogerio, thank you! 🙌🏼🙏🏽
great ! love to have one !
I truly FUCKIN LOVE your target box.
Damn, R.I.P. Target Box
Hahahahaha!!! Thank you so much! And worry not, I already made a new one!
Really appreciate you man
