Garbodar is an iconic Pokémon in the tcg. It’s had 2 amazing cards, won worlds in 2018 and got second in 2017. I love that ir, and I think going forward tcg players will love it too.
Didn’t know about its playability, that’s rad! I just love the whole evolution line. I think it’s an awesome idea to have a cute garbage pokemon lol

I shifted my focus to S&V IR’s. They are my favorite part of the S&V era and many are overlooked right now (lucky for me)
Obsidian gets so much hate talk. Yeah I don’t care for the SIR’s in it much. BUT it has some incredible IR’s. The Gloom and Ninetales are two of my favorite S&V cards!
I love the Garbador too! Paradox Rift has some incredible IR’s like Porygon-Z and Steelix.
The reason for Magikarp being so high in English over Japanese I think is due to a few things:
1. It’s harder to pull in English. You get 3 IR’s per box in English but there are so many in Paldea evolved the magikarp actually ends up being hard to pull. Whereas in Japanese the set is smaller and so you can pull it much easier.
2. English hype is high right now with swsh taking off and Japanese hype is low (sadly).
3. For the PsA, the condition was so poor in early S&V, getting a 10 in that card is TOUGH. So conditional rarity chasers like it even more.
I agree w obsidian being insanely under valued. I love Japanese being cheap. Lol

great point of picking up other languages esp japanese, since english and japanese are what people collect. but im not oppose to other cheaper languages as well. would like to see you tackle more japanese art rare contents
Go check out Chinese cards both simplified and traditional. I think they’re better than Japanese by far.

Wow I had no idea the Miraidon SIR was so cheap.
Its easy to overlook a lot of the S&V IR cards or not even realize they exist because there are just so many.
Every card on my list is a MUST buy. I got the top cards in lightly played for my binder
I picked up two of the Japanese Magicarp off ebay back when the set released for $4 a piece. I known they aren't on the same level as the English card raw, but investment wise, I atleast doubled or tripled my investment lol. All by accident tho, I got them for the art to put in a couple different binders
Now u can have some for your collection AND as an investment! 🎉 congratulations!

@HenrysPokeCorner lol exactly. And back when they came out, no one could have seen the spike in value on the horizon. That's just one of my favorite artists and Gyarados is my favorite pokemon, so that art style plus the hidden Gyarados made it a must have. And the japanese was just released, so the english didn't exist yet. All in all, I always try to buy for the art first. And idk if I would even consider myself an "investor" tbh. I have a small sealed collection, but not any quantity to really make big profit. Ide say most of my money is in my binder collections and master sets

I buy only from good sellers on eBay. Quick and easy
@@HenrysPokeCorner I've befriended some sellers from Japan that I buy singles from usually takes a week maybe two at most to get.

JP karp is so cheap cause it has like 13,000+ PSA10s
also its much easier to pull in JP cause less diluted AR pool
