This monster is one of the most intriguing I've EVER seen in the whole series. When it comes to new monsters, I'm bothered when they have the same AI types of older monsters (Glavenus being like Deviljho, Astalos being like Rathalos, and now I'd even say Valfalk is like Gore Magala). Atoraru Ka is designed after Seltas, yes, but even so it is one of the most creative designs in the history of these games.
When a new monster is revealed, first things you wonder are things like "what's it's element or status attack? How about its signature move? How do I fight it?" I was worried that this boss was gonna be another Dire Miralis or Gogmazios, another laser blasting boom-bang-boom heaping tower of meat that got old really fast (no offense if those are your favorite bosses, tho), but what does Atoraru do? Though it doesn't have the ability to use a unique element, it makes up for that by being able to pick up objects from its environment to use as weapons/armor! Look at how it uses a god damn dragonator to fight you when it's in its unarmored phase! That's unseen, unless I'm forgetting some other monster in Frontier or something. Speaking of phases, look at how the monster pulls that weathered dragon mech thing from the ground and uses it as armor! But are you just gonna look at it prance around with its new gear on? You know you gotta climb up it, break it apart piece by piece and bring it down to the ground. That's when the last phase begins, where Atoraru has that epic wheel hoisted on its back. I know I'm intense about describing this thing, but it's so...impressive.

Damn that must be scary. I mean, the humans in this game are only able to stand at the top of the food chain due to their ability to cooperate as a village create armor, use weapons, manage fortresses and use these skills to manage any threat.
And then there’s monsters like this that have the physical and mental capacity to create and operate a giant mecha-machine ALL BY ITSELF.

well, i don't know for sure. that's what i heard prior to getting the game and transmogging tends to eat up a few of the base resources needed for it, so i haven't tried myself yet. i've been using the Neseto mogged to look like Mosgharl X for a while.

totally agree! Its not an easy feat to actually adapt easily to every monsters here in MH. I guess Canta's long experience with MH did payed well and turned him to something these monsters will fear. :))

@@pickcollins9910 No, it's a mantis, which is an insect (neopteron) instead of an arachnid (temnoceran). As of now, only two temnocerans exist in the main series: Nerscylla and Rakna-Kadaki
i'm kinda late on saying this becuse the long sword became relevant in mh3 but, it's good to see how the long sword is actually a good weapon: because i started on monster hunter freedom unite where the long sword really didn't have any perks compared to other weapons (no impact damage, outclassed by damage by Great sword, no guard, SnS and duals had better evasiveness, shorter range than lance, slower attack speed than both duals and sns) it had no use and i started to hate the weapon type, i might now start to use it
in mhfu it was still a relatively high tier'd weapon though, consistently sitting at the top of tier lists with GS, hammer, and hbg.
in fact the only recent game where it didn't hold a high spot was in mh4u, and has since been buffed in generations and xx
i think this is your most impressive run ever. its so well scripted. between keeping valor for 5 minutes and the stone throw

As a person who lives in the U.S. and can't experience this yet (hopefully it's released here at some point), this monster looks like the new Kirin for me. I can't possibly imagine myself stopping from a chance to hunt it.

World focuses on being realistic. This...is far from that.
Pigpug Pigpug the most realistic ia that all the flying wyvern shouldn't be able to fly with that wingspeed. It should be far slower, at that speed they would break their own wings. Also monster hunter shouldn't have to realistic c: (also the birds don't fly)

It's transmogged yeah. As for the actual armor, I'd recommend the Jho/Ceana mix set which is basically a better version of what I was using in this one. There's a video about said armor set by gaijin hunter which goes more into detail about that set and how to make it, you should easily find it on youtube just by searching for Jho Ceana

it looks like it's the Neseto armor transmogged to look like Gore. given the Neseto's talisman+ skill, i can't imagine it would have to be some super godly charm.

tbh Atrulka/Atoraru isn't a hard monster, no matter the armor or skills. The Neseto armor is made from her anyways, so you won't be able to use that for a first run-through. The Neseto is basically just a DIY armor anyways

hard to really say. i love fighting Nerscylla, so that was the first full set of G-Rank armor i made(turns out Nerscylla armor makes for a pretty good sleep bombing set in this game). end game i made the Neseto armor, Silver Sol armor, and Esurient Z armor. i also went and made the Astalos X, Barioth X, Astral X, and Mosgharl X for transmogging purposes mainly.

how strong is that blue spirit blade?? is it stronger than red or the same strength?? or maybe lower than red??
I don't know the exact values but when you see a speedrunner deem it worthy of being used for a run, you can bet your zenny that its good!
probably slightly weaker than red to compensate for it always being there during brave mode, and the other perks of the style.

more like it's just a last ditch quick attempt to potentially break the mech if he got the damage up high enough, since for a speedrunner, if it works, it saves a lot of time.
back in 4U, i would see some people do the same thing on frenzied/apex monsters when they're wystones were about to run out. i don't remember where, but i saw a stream once where the guy suppressed an apex rajang with a paintball
If they do it for that, why not go for Boomerang to do 8 times more damage? It's not even hard to aim with AND does multiple hits... Also, it's literally impossible for a Paintball to do what you said because it doesn't do damage at all, it's the only projectile item that's like that
