- I actually had no intention of doing this quest with SnS at first but some to me yet unknown MonHun god told me in my last video that doing this quest with IG wouldn't be very impressive and that it would be much more challenging to do it with the totally "weak" SnS, so yeah, here it is.
Probably could've saved even more time on Valfalk since this was just my 2nd time ever using SnS on Valfalk but luckily the first 4 fights went well enough to make up for it and beat my IG time.

CantaPerMe I actually hate the guy mentioned in the description, while I haven't played double cross i doubt the sns is weaker now unless they nerfed it.

Well, i have mixed feelings about the weapon. i mean, i know its very very strong, especially in Generations, though...it does not...feel strong. Dont get me wrong.

Well then i just cant get it work since i get 50% longer hunts using an SnS compared to other weapons of the same level....

yeah, that guy got roasted by others for implying that SnS and HH were weak weapons, started to get all salty and throw random insults at me, I called him out on that and he deleted his comment shortly after

i thought i was good when i soloed my way through gen (inc. amatsu + ala) until i saw canta only ever hitting weak zones and evading like he's got eva+3
canta is god. also my inspiration to "get good" rather get batter anyway
Your evasion is so on point against the glavenus.
If you farm enough Hellblade for its weapon(Canta probably did the same cuz its weapons are very good), dodging Glavenus becomes a lot easier.
You know what. Out of all people, you're the one person who makes this work. I think I'll main alchemy style maybe one of these days myself... hopefully.

Sns is awesome and F you if you think it is a weak-ass weapon. The oils, arts, elemental prowess and aggression make it a great weapon and I frickin’ love it.

No idea how I'm meant to beat this quest.
They are all G-Rank, meaning they have a lot of health and damage (Hyper damage added onto that).
Either I play aggressive af (Adept Longsword btw), and run the risk of quickly getting two-shot.
Or I play passive and only fight when they perform save attacks and then I won't make it in time.

Lao Shan longsword 280dmg - Sakura Slash III - Attack up (L) slotted)
Maybe I'll have to wait until I'm done with G-Rank and got a endgame armor+weapon.
Don't worry, it's also a village quest so their HP is scaled for solo
Then I guess I'll just need a better armor/weapon to make it. Also need to learn Mizutsune better, having huuuge problems dodgin her attacks.
Yo Canta when you get chance do a vid on Brave SnS hardly any speed runs with it, also what's better between alchemy & striker?
I've just cleared this baby yesterday.
Takes me 3 tries, first time over on Valfalk, second try instead Glavenus comes GODZILLA and beat me 2 times, I defeated after much time, i failed on mizutsune because i wanted to keep the itens, 3rd time was real
And that is why you never sass canta, or sns which is actually pretty fuckin lit
I don't mind some sass as long as people can back up their words :^)

Y'know, I've been wondering for a while now; why in particular do you usually wind up doing just the three or four hits with your combo instead of doing the roundslash at the end? Does the math just not work out to have that be worth doing, is it a framedata or positioning thing and it's just not occurring to me, or is there something I'm not thinking of?
I was wondering the same thing, it could be that the alchemy style's moveset just doesn't allow for it, idk
Cobalt Kirikizan the recovery time after the roundslash is too long. It's only worth using if you know that the monster will move in the next few frames, like at 15:56

Would you mostly recommend Alchemy over Striker ? Also... What are the best items to make with the alchemy barrel?

I only use Alchemy for multi monster quests since the time between each monster's spawns actually gives me some time to use the barrel. The only alchemy items I usually make are the disposable earplugs and whetstones
CantaPerMe I see.... But if you weren't speedrunning or just recommending a style for someone who doesn't would you recommend it over Striker ?
Last question I promise. Is the alchemy bazooka any good in terms of damage?

Canta, I use adept glaive w/ crit eye +2, airborn, and rodeo god. Is this a good choice for adept IG? I also have extract hunter 3.
I'd get rid of airborne and get something else instead like critical boost if possible. IG can get 30% crit just from white extract and with crit eye +2 you are already at 50% crit, so you'd profit a lot from it

After using our sets, the hellblades can't stand up properly. Strategy is to attack the legs and je suis monte while the dude with the hammer/horn goes for the KO. Tore through them like a tail through Rathian. Team was 1 hammer, 1 horn, me, and 1 Dual blade.

SnS is not weak, i only played MH up till MHP3rd since i dont have 3DS but from MHP3rd SnS can deal constant dps, and SnS has been buffed ever since then up to MHXX.

John Taxpayer if you have a Japanese 3ds, you can import MHXX on it, it’s only in japan, and only works on a Japanese 3ds

Crimson Hunter this breaks the bread and butter combo slightly. The attack right before the round slash is gone and it can kinda get annoying if you're not used to it.

So if alchemy style has all of the striker benefits and more, why would you ever want to use striker in mhxx?
not all benefits, different style mean different moveset. And with striker your Hunter Art fills much faster.
Have gotten mhxx and now i cant choose which style i want
Alchamy or brave
I'd recommend playing guild/striker/alchemy style first if you are new to the series since they offer you a not so gimmicky (except for alchemy) playstyle with rather simple controls (especially alchemy!). Once you've gotten better and more accustomed to the game, the other, more specialized styles will be easier to get into

Beat all village 10* key quests, you'll unlock urgent: akantor, ukanlos, amatsu, alatreon and after u beat them you'll unlock four additional quests, this is one of them

Alchemy SP Effect:
Boost Alchemy Barrel meter generation, and boost health regen.
Round Force: Wide-arc spinning slash, provides a healthy amount of invulnerability.
Absolute Readiness: A panic-button evade, grants a healthy amount of invulnerability. At the tail end of the evade, your weapon will remain unsheathed so you can get right back in the fight.
Chaos Oil: Applies every single Oil effect to the SnS for a limited time.

Gaming_oD i mean, in monster hunter 1 or 2 we fought monster that have the ability of an animal, fly, fast, strong, that's it. But the newest version beside MH World, we fought a beast with demon like ability, shoot ball of darkness or something out of this world, that's like a demon not a beast. And so far MH world shows us dinosaur like monster or wyvern without controlling a super power. So that's what i meant.
Lapo Calzolari well wyvern with ability of a demon that's what i meant, not a beast like monoblos or even Khezu that still make sense cause they're a beast, not a demon kind of beast that control a superpower like darkness or that sort of things (elemental still make sense, like jinouga or even Yian kut-ku)
