I played this build for last 5 days, and it's very strong, broken even. Few thoughts about it: A small issue is that mines cannot detonate while there are no enemies nearby. If you don't have enought mana to have all the mines on the ground,you sometimes will not be able to throw any more, and might want to have some attributes on weapon/shield, so your body armor gets disabled on weapon swap. Profane proxy is great for bosses, but can feel a bit awkward while mapping, as the blast doesn't happen from curse on hit if the enemy dies from 1 hit. EE is a great way to apply exposure if you can get it on a relic. Lethe shade is extremely helpful on endgame bosses, dots are a huge weakness of this build. Didn't really test it, but recovery from spellbreaker should start even when you block a spell, so spell block is a good addition to defences.
I swear you have the most interesting ideas and takes for builds. Its a welcome change in the PoE Scene. Also you dont mind testing things and figuring them out. Outside of Mathil there arent many like you. Cant wait to see where you go with this.

Lance just a tip : U can use profane proxy ring with skitterbots instead of blasphemy , its both 35% reservation. u would give away your ring instead of your amulet. but your curses would still have max effect and would autotarget. also i think u get more dmg with amulets then with rings. so this might also inc dmg if u get a +1 skill amu etc. skitterbots also has a mana efficiency mastery on the trap clusters if u really need more mana eff. aswell as skitterbots giving more mine dmg and u could if u use "explosive expert" from sab link skitterbots to infernal legion support to get more crit multi and 10% more elepen or 80%inc crit chance depending on where u put profane proxy ring.
I rerolled a boring meta miner I did to make some easy sanctum money, switching into your amazing build. The moment I've seen the gameplay I instantly fell in love. Amazing well rounded build. Great job!

Someone in my guild talked about this build last night and said to check out your vod as you built it, so I watched as you built the wand with fossils. I've never had "good" gear because I'm too poor to afford it and have no knowledge of crafting, but following what you did lead me to my first +2 wand for about 1 div. It has 10.96 crit from the fracture and I look forward to playing this "bait" build later 😉
Thank you you solved an issue I was having with making this feel smooth by combining the blasphemy with a curse on hit. Some how that didn't cross my mind but once I tried it this build feels good to play. =)

Hey lance. I think curse on hit doesn't work with mines anymore, because of an interaction change made to curses and traps. I feel like it applies to mines as well. Idk if my last comment got through, so posting again.
Notice when phasing the boss he doesn't have ele weakness anymore. I can't seem to post a link to the reddit thread I saw the other day about it, curses applied by traps being cancelled after the trap dies is intended by ggg.

So this character doesn't run into trouble that bricked Waggles hexblast trapper that curses since 3.20 expires when the source of the curse no longer exists i.e. the specific trap or in this case the mine?
Thanks for this vid, I was playing hexblast traps and was thinking of trying mines. I know you mentioned that traps all activate at once which essentially bricks the damage, but does this apply if youre running a curse on hit? My understanding was that youll still get the 100% more, even with traps.
how are you getting 3 auras in the build? I can only get flammability linked to awak. blasphemy and discipline. I cant seem to fit grace in the build without depleting all my mana
hi i got a question about the crafting of the amulet.. after put "prefix cannot be change" i have to roll with chaos the another +1, till get it? and the base could be any lvl 82 fractured amulet?
To be fair Sandstorm Visage + Trypanon is not a full "combo". You also want to use Marylene's Fallacy with it. It gives up to 240% crit multi, but takes away 40% crit chance. So you have HUGE crits, and you can use that "random crit chance" you get anyway - you need 67% increased critical strike to get 100% tottal crit chance. And about mobility - you can use replica Trypanon to get -5000 accuracy instead of 50% reduced attack speed, so your leapslam is a bit better (also flame dash exists). However I do agree that it is not nobrainer for any caster, far from it. Just wanted to be fair about this combo - it is better then you make it look (not by much imo tho).
Rolled my first trickster this build, I like it a lot. I'm just doing poison BV, but it's one of my thiccest characters. I'll look into this balance of terror jewel since BV hits a ton. Maybe it'll be able to fully replace my totems. Wither totems have been amazing for sanctum though
Probably the most (only) fun part of miner builds is that while you're walking you make a constant tink-tink-tink noise while your detonate mines triggers. Makes me feel like a clockwork robot.
I will probably try to do a leveling tree for the build when I make a full guide on it but if you want to start before that, I really liked leveling with pyroclast ele setup taking frenzy/one step ahead labs first and then doing a slight respec when you get to lvl 56 for sandstorm helmet and swap to hexblast with a blasphemy curse and eventually getting curse on hit, just make sure to get a random high base crit wand to level till you can make a legit wand. I will be making a video guide for wand craft probably later tonight after I stream

@@CaptainLance9 manticck here , dont know if you know , but with the change to despair i think your beter of using conductivity or frostbite , hexblast's chaos damage is resisted by the lowest resist on the mob, conductivity etc have bigger negative resist and gives some extra ignite, shock or freeze chance depening on your choice

BROOOO, i rerolled my poison seismic into this and it feels 100x better to play, i'm having some small inconveniences like mana problems but still it's silky smooth, can't wait for the build update
this is only my 2nd league. after making a corrupted fever build (and absolutely loving cf as a lg starter), im kinda wanting to experience more and be able to do more end game content... im hoping this build will do just that. being a noob sucks though as i dont know a ton about crafting or anything. the one thing the pob fails to mention is what skills you used through the acts. i do know in the notes section it did suggest going with whatever you wanted until getting the helm but im not sure what to do really. i was thinking some sort of mine skill can yall help out with some suggestions?
I swear we have the same mind, last league it was the scion relic of the pact and this league I just rolled up a hexblast miner occultist hahah. I like your take on it! Some things I think you should take a look at for the occultist version that brings it up to par with this version, mainly power charge stacking is insane with this mine setup. You can run void battery + malachai's loop + ralakesh's impatience + badge of the brotherhood and have permanent uptime with your charges when you need them! I've also chosen to run asenath's gentle touch for explosion pops and free on hit curse over machina mitts, but I think both are pretty solid. Other than that, a good way of applying your curses is skitterbots with one or two profane proxies. I'm running frostbite and ele weakness in mine right now!

Just checked a couple pobs and apparently void battery has a lot of base crit (8) and with its powercharge stacking benefits, occultist can make a very powerfull hexblast hit based occultist:D
So i dont have a curse on hit ring so im using the unique " Mark of Submission" and my Blasphemy Conductivity is working but when my HB mine consumes that the Ele weak curse doesnt proc. when i take the HB of the mine sup it works as intended but not while its on the mine sup
Just some FYI, base mine throwing speed is 0.3s and base trap throwing speed is 0.6s. Yes, poewiki is wrong. Another thing to consider is that you can have multiple mines detonating at the same time. If you do the LMB detonate trick, you will start a new detonation chain every 0.2s. Thus it's conceivable that mines can detonate at almost the same time. No idea how to test this! That undetonated mine sound making you crazy yet? Did you consider poison so you could take advantage of Polymath's recovery?
Not gonna run this skill i think, but i want to try Trickster finally for that feelsgood moment, since those random slows are soooo annoying. Also, 1 Sanctum run i had -20% monster action speed boon with skitterbots giving another -10%. That was so good and made everything so easy to dodge.
right now shield is probably my most expensive item but that can be swapped out for a rare if the cost goes too high. Fractured rare should be pretty easy cost efficient craft.
since you are using atziri's shield, the selfcurse shenannigans with forbidden rite + self-flagelations jewel + the selfcurse on hit helmet is possible for buffing before hard encounters. altho helmet swapping is kinda cursed
I did initially start out planning this character to be rolling as impending doom, but I found that on testing to be pretty meh in act 4, but then again there is a high chance I had messed up my various setups I tested. This was something I wanted to try as well.
@@CaptainLance9 there are some pretty sweet doom blast builds on POE ninja right now. I also have a nice low tier version at the moment (under 30 C) that's easily clearing yellows, although my defences are a mess. If you want to see the PoB as a starting point I can post it.
I got very lucky on my quest Searing Exarch as he dropped one of the best Forbidden Flames in the game that was valued at ca. 40 divines. That's like straight up TWO omni's from a green invitation. Doesn't go better than this. I sold it and assembled this build. Decided on Saboteur afterall and building the Dissolution of the Flesh variant (constantly running at empty life orb and having this life reservation mechanic). This skill is insane, im like level 75 with 4 ascendancy nodes missing and many important aspects missing too (capped res, jewels, enchants on gear, quality on gems, quality on gear etc) and its fucking destroying content, especially bosses. On my RF Jugg bosses were a nightmare, which is unfortunate cos I build a bossing atlas tree (Metamorphs) and these fucking metamorphs sometimes weren't killable at all by my fire traps. On this character they get rekt in 2 seconds. These mines hit and look like Ion Cannon from UT2004. Purple nuclear bomb of death. Im getting used to DotF reservation mechanc. Reserved life goes away after 2 seconds of not being hit which is simple enough. DOT suck though because even if you are taking 3 damage per second this will hold your reservation hostage, it won't clear. Any bleeds or poisons you absolutely have to mitigate and clear. Ignite is handled by Sabo ascendancy at least.
As far as I knew "you've hit" didn't work for mines.. because the mines are their own entity, which is why reflect doesn't kill you on miner.. was wondering how the ring on hit and the wither jewel were working
The mines/traps inherit your on hit effects when you create them. So they are hitting and have curse/wither on hit. You still never hit and any benefit from a hit (E.G. leech) will apply to the trap/mine.
Okay lance you got me, i'm re-installing poe. there's no way i can skip the league in a world where a hexblast miner exist!

With void beacon you can just use the negative cold res on Occultist (use frostbite, ect), but your other comments on ascendancy choice are valid.

Should i only lvl awakened blasphemy to lvl 2? I just think about necessity of holding gems on lower lvls how it is in POB.

Not gonna run this skill i think, but i want to try Trickster finally for that feelsgood moment, since those random slows are soooo annoying. Also, 1 Sanctum run i had -20% monster action speed boon with skitterbots giving another -10%. That was so good and made everything so easy to dodge.
How do you level it and is it too expensive?As far as i see only shields bit pricey and thats not even much.
right now shield is probably my most expensive item but that can be swapped out for a rare if the cost goes too high. Fractured rare should be pretty easy cost efficient craft.
How is it at end game bosses?

since you are using atziri's shield, the selfcurse shenannigans with forbidden rite + self-flagelations jewel + the selfcurse on hit helmet is possible for buffing before hard encounters.
altho helmet swapping is kinda cursed
which ascendancy would you pick for ssf?

how essential is atziri's reflection to this build?
I did initially start out planning this character to be rolling as impending doom, but I found that on testing to be pretty meh in act 4, but then again there is a high chance I had messed up my various setups I tested. This was something I wanted to try as well.
@@CaptainLance9 there are some pretty sweet doom blast builds on POE ninja right now. I also have a nice low tier version at the moment (under 30 C) that's easily clearing yellows, although my defences are a mess. If you want to see the PoB as a starting point I can post it.

I got very lucky on my quest Searing Exarch as he dropped one of the best Forbidden Flames in the game that was valued at ca. 40 divines. That's like straight up TWO omni's from a green invitation. Doesn't go better than this. I sold it and assembled this build. Decided on Saboteur afterall and building the Dissolution of the Flesh variant (constantly running at empty life orb and having this life reservation mechanic).
This skill is insane, im like level 75 with 4 ascendancy nodes missing and many important aspects missing too (capped res, jewels, enchants on gear, quality on gems, quality on gear etc) and its fucking destroying content, especially bosses. On my RF Jugg bosses were a nightmare, which is unfortunate cos I build a bossing atlas tree (Metamorphs) and these fucking metamorphs sometimes weren't killable at all by my fire traps. On this character they get rekt in 2 seconds. These mines hit and look like Ion Cannon from UT2004. Purple nuclear bomb of death.
Im getting used to DotF reservation mechanc. Reserved life goes away after 2 seconds of not being hit which is simple enough. DOT suck though because even if you are taking 3 damage per second this will hold your reservation hostage, it won't clear. Any bleeds or poisons you absolutely have to mitigate and clear. Ignite is handled by Sabo ascendancy at least.
This is cool as fuck, anyone who says the meta is stale clearly just isn't looking in the right places.

As far as I knew "you've hit" didn't work for mines.. because the mines are their own entity, which is why reflect doesn't kill you on miner.. was wondering how the ring on hit and the wither jewel were working
The mines/traps inherit your on hit effects when you create them. So they are hitting and have curse/wither on hit. You still never hit and any benefit from a hit (E.G. leech) will apply to the trap/mine.
I'm curious, is One Step Ahead equivalent to Jugg's Unstoppable?

damn the sabo node actually kinda bricks hexblast traps. crazy that the skill is so strong i cleared the whole atlas with it
tbh chain reaction is only good with stuff like seismic anyway, overall it's not good

There is also the amulet which gives an crazy amount of crit multi for the cost of crit chance. Might be a thing if you overcap critchance.
I feel like replica duskdawn isn’t a bad choice with this helmet. 135% crit mult and a base crit chance of 10%? Sign me up
