      I’m glad you are helping yourself!!! Keep it up & you will notice a difference soon. Are you icing it by rolling it over a frozen water bottle? That helps a lot. Stretching it lightly too. Best of wishes for you & good job 👏🏼

      I haven't tried that yet. Honestly I was started to walk with NO bend in my right big toe, from wearing heels of course. The mobility was gone...It's been painful releasing even gently. It has felt better to apply heat since applying cold was not a problem. My toes wear automatically cold! LOL. I'm so grateful to all the teachers out there and you for your genius idea of arting the leg and providing the muscle visual. TY again for your response.@@MassageTherapeutics915

    I really enjoyed learning all of that. Another idea for rolling: using an 8oz can of frozen tomato paste. It is the perfect size for feet!
    However, I worry about the cold making the tissues less flexible and creating more microtears if one stretches after cold rolling. Any thoughts about that?

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Good idea on the can of tomato 🍅 paste. Anything that works. Rolling over frozen water bottle brings down the swelling & helps with pain. The stretching should be moderate & not extreme. Usually people stretch first thing in the morning when it hurts more.

    • @MassageTherapeutics915
      @MassageTherapeutics915  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I would also recommend the frozen water bottle to bring down the swelling. Roll the bottom of your foot over it. Don’t over stretch it because sometimes it makes it worse. I would massage it and let it rest for a week & see you you are before continuing exercise. Sometimes the exercise (specially running) makes it worse

      Hello Emma. Flossing is just a name for a technique that I use. Like flossing your teeth where you go back & forth. The purpose is to shorten & lengthen the muscle (or tendon) several times so it will relax. You don’t do force it, just gentle back & forth movements through the action of the muscle. I hope this explanation helps 🤗

      A medical or neuromuscular massage therapist would do this massage. Podiatrist usually don’t massage feet. It’s not the same when you massage your own feet because you can’t get the correct angle to work it out. I hope you can find someone good to work on you because I know it can be painful 🤗

      Plantar fasciitis is painful! Have you tried rolling it over a frozen water bottle? That kind of numbs it & helps with bringing down the swelling too. Make sure you’re wearing good supportive shoes too. No heels. Hope you feel better soon. 🤗

      Sounds like repetitive motion have affected your knee tendons & ligaments. I’m not sure I understand your question? Massage relaxes the muscles however any damage to the bone doesn’t really make much of a difference

      Not always true. I’ve had clients with plantar fasciitis that were thin! One was a jogger so he was very slender. There are different variables to consider. Another one stood on her feet all day yet she was thin too.
