    I was exhilarated to learn my Fritz repeaters and router support meshing…but my “mesh” Fritz repeaters all connect to the router. It is mesh master and everything displays the mesh active symbol. But they don’t set up an actual mesh network with each other as said above, which is very disappointing.
    Is there a way to enforce true meshing or am I stuck with what amounts to a wireless star network and must replace with actual mesh capable gear?

      Hi, [REDACTED]!
      If your FRITZ! products have a mesh icon in the user interface of your FRITZ!Box under "Mesh", the FRITZ! products are properly integrated in mesh. If you want to set up a series connection of e.g. FRITZ!Repeater, you have to proceed as follows: en.avm.de/service/fritzwlan/fritzrepeater-2400/knowledge-base/publication/show/3355_Connecting-the-FRITZ-Repeater-with-the-Mesh-Repeater-cascading#zd

      Alright, thanks!
      Would have been nice if the mesh master could configure them automatically and flexibly or the user could re-arrange from within the network menu of the mesh master. That functionality might be something to consider for a very near future update?

    Will Fritz!box products mesh with networks from other manufacturers, like TP-Link?

    • @fritzboxenglish
      @fritzboxenglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mesh is a general term, that many manufacturers use for different features. Our products can not be combined to an actual FRITZ! Mesh network with products from other manufacturers, but you can still use a FRITZ!Repeater with these routers and they will form a network together, kinda like a mesh network, but not with all the benefits and easy setup from FRITZ! Mesh.

    So I have a fritz box 7530 as my main router. I need to get wifi via mesh to each end of my house so need to get 2 fritz plug in type repeaters for each side of the house...any suggestion on which product to get and how to set it all up please?? House is not that big but has solid internal brick walls as it is 132 years old. Thanks.

      Hi, Dark! Any of the current FRITZ!Repeaters can be used for this. So it depends on what exactly you want. Have a look at the product comparison: en.avm.de/products/comparing-avm-products/fritzwlan/fritzwlan-repeater. For individual advice, please contact us here: en.avm.de/products/sales-consultation

    I have a lot of home automation lights(wifi). Probably 50 wifi devices.
    I want to buy a 7590 box and two 2400 repeaters. Will this be sufficient? Home is around 120m2.

    • @fritzboxenglish
      @fritzboxenglish  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Since the wifi is also very much influenced by external factors, such as structural conditions and other radio networks, we cannot make a general statement as to whether this will sufficient for your home. But the 50 devices should not be a problem.

    I purchased both fritz 1200 and a fritz 3000 so that I can get wifi everywhere in my house instead of 2 fritz 1200's as originally planned. Which one should I set up first or doesn't it matter??

    • @fritzboxenglish
      @fritzboxenglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, if you connect everything via WiFi, we suggest you set up the FRITZ!Repeater 3000 first and the FRITZ!Repeater 1200 behind it.

    • @fritzboxenglish
      @fritzboxenglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, Tjalling!
      Which FRITZ!Box are you using? In addition, other factors (such as your Internet connection or the servers where the download runs) also influence the download speed.

    I need help. I’ve had 3 different Speedport smarts 3s and after 10-15 minutes the link light blinks. Telekom said since the Speedport’s were not working they would replace it with a fritz!Box 7590. The same problem occurs with the fritz!box, I’ll be using the WiFi for 15 minutes and the power/DSL light will blink for a minute and then come back on. I’ve had three different technicians come and look at the problem and they all said the line is good.

    basically the 2400 is a router wifi with just 1 WAN/LAN port.?

    • @fritzboxenglish
      @fritzboxenglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 is a Wifi-Repeater that repeats the Wifi of an Wifi-Router (lan-port is free to use): en.avm.de/products/fritzwlan/fritzrepeater-2400/
      Alternatively, the FRITZ!Repeater 2400 can be set up via lan-cable with the router, using the lan-port.

      Hi, JaIeeI!
      Various reasons can be responsible for this. If you use a FRITZ!Box as a router, please carry out these measures:
