worth noting that you can use the two ethernet ports as ethernet inputs too. i.e. you can use existing ethernet outlets in your home to send the signal to the repeater
Hi I set up my repeater as you said I have my fritzbox router 7530 in my hall and my fritzbox repeater in my sitting room should I get a good strong signal?
Hi Tom, In theory yes but the environment surround your router and your repeater could impact your Wi-Fi connection. You can find more about this here: th-cam.com/video/OdTOkUeFEhE/w-d-xo.html Thanks, Paul
I've got a couple of questions. Firstly, I've set up the connection and relocated the device close to my media room upstairs, does this create a new wifi connection or simply extend the range of the one I have already? Secondly, will my devices in my media room upstairs receive a better connection via wifi, or would I need to use a cable to increase my speeds?
Excellent presentation. I wonder if you can help with my issue, Paul. My 3000 is pairing with a Fritz 7530 located downstairs. It's been in use for 2 months. Yesterday, I noticed the wifi light symbol on the 3000 was orange, not green. I re-paired successfully using your method. But after 20 minutes, the green wifi light went orange again. I did the re-pairing for a second time. The green wifi light seems stable. But, I wonder about two points: The Connect / WPS button on the 7530 is not lit. (One would expect a solid green.) And secondly, when I check my iPhone's wifi connection upstairs, it only shows the 7530, not the Fritz 3000. Is that correct and proper? Your thoughts appreciated.
Got any Advice on where to put the repeater? I.e. does the Repeater need to be close enough to the main router to get a good signal for it to then boost? And does the Repeater have a stronger signal than the Original Router? So even if the Repeater wasn't that far from the router it would still give better coverage? Sort of the same as Harry down below.
Hi there if I buy one of these I already have the router but not the reapter one now my router is down stairs and my PlayStation is upstairs do you think I could put it upstairs and plug in my Lan Cable and would I get the same speed as I would down stairs please
Hi Harry, sorry for the delayed reply! The repeater would "repeat" the wifi speed that it picks up in the place you put it. So it would only be the speed that your playstation already receives (if you place it near it). However the repeater should maintain a more consistent connection than the playstation would, so it may still be worth setting it up this way?
@@howtobyzen what's the point of having it then? I get 300mbps next to the router and still got 30mbps next to the repeater like I did before I had one. Completely pointless

Thanks, clear and simple : you prevented a long tedious IT support call with my mother :-)
Haha well we're always here if she does need to call in, but glad it was helpful! 😊
Thanks bro exactly what i was looking for👌

Is there advantages to this method (connecting to a Lan that is connected to your modem) over the standard method ?
Your absolutely brilliant made everything so easy to do thank you 👌👏👍
Hi Tom,
Great to hear thanks,
Paul

I have my FritzBox and Fritz repeater side by side and following these instructions, but they just won't pair - any ideas please?
I have a similar issue - any help please Zen?

Anyone tried to use the 3000 Ax repeater as a LAN bridge to extend the Mesh Wi-Fi? Seeing regular and repeated packet loss which is very frustrating!
