Very useful for verifying which router would be best for me to order from my ISP. they give a few options based off the speed package you buy (a Huawei one for 150mb, this one in question for 500 and gigabit) so I'll definitely go with the higher speeds to receive a vastly superior router among other benefits
It's a shame fritz dont make a ceiling mounted POE access point. I currently have a unifi AP ceiling mounted with POE which works great but would be nice to replace that with a fritz AP to try out the mesh .. currently I have the Fritzbox wifi disabled and just use my AP as they only offer devices which connect to a socket or sit on a table etc.
@@jackkraken3888 I doubt it. We got the printer to work but it just keeps going offline for some reason. Need to restart laptop to wake the printer up!
Perhaps you guys don’t know how to configure it, although it very easy to do so. I am using Fritz-box for last 10 years and can say with confidence that “ It is the Best Wifi Router/Modem/Telephony System in the world”. I used it for 6 years in Germany and now using it for 4 years in UAE, never had a problem with it. The only issue with Fritzbox is its limited coverage area. It is because of absence of external Antennas.
WARNING! DO NOT BUY THE FRITZBOX 7530 The Fritzbox 7530 is an absolute piece of junk. It does not work. I couldn't get online with it. After two separate hour long phone calls to Zen technical support I was no further forward. I still couldn't get online. It was all packed up again and sent back the same day.
sorry but many people have indeed got it working, your singular bad experience shouldnt inform public opinion on a mass market device, sorry you had such a bad time, it can be really frustrating dealing with ISP's, most of them suck in some way or other.
Best modem brand ever. Period! 4 years and still working and NOT a single time I had any issues with FritzBox modems whatsoever.

Why dont you use FritzBox 4040? Its a WAN only Router from AVM and its way more affordable because it hasnt got a Modem in it.

Ever since my Dad got this router his epson printer cannot see it. Does the router need to be configured to allow wifi printers to work?
I don't think so. But is the router running at 5GZ or something?

My 7530 works just fine and reliable.
You have to configure it via the web interface when you replace your router. it does not just work instantly
