  • Went for a quick hike Monday morning in the gorge with Cane.. We hiked a short section of the Rough Trail, mostly switchbacks, before heading off-trail along Parched Corn Creek Falls.. We passed several smaller falls and cascades before reaching Parched Corn Creek Falls, where we stopped to enjoy the falls for a bit.. Finally we continued down to Noah's Spout, a unique natural bridge with a falls flowing through it, on a tributary to Parched Corn Creek.. It was a beautiful morning out in the Red getting our waterfall fix in on a short hike on and off-trail 🤙

Nice. Great flow. The day I went out, I stayed on the west side of the creek the entire way after the initial creek crossing. Looks like there might be some easier passage along the east side at points. There's not much of a trail on the west side after the campsites.

Yeah we kept crossing back and forth hitting some of the smaller falls along the creek, but coming out we mostly stayed on the west side

Have you looked up Sal Branch, or Laurel Branch? Some nice waterfalls on both. You might have to cross Red River to get to the lower Laurel.

Yeah I've been out Sal Branch a few times, so great stuff back there, but I don't think I've explored much of Laurel Branch, I'll have to make an effort to check it out before it warms up
