He managed to get very close to the beaver's life.

I used to walk or bike a trail that had several ponds that beavers occupied and not once in several years did I see one of them. There were a few times I could hear splashes as one likely dove under water but nothing more.
So cool! I was driving with my brother from Colorado to northern New Mexico and we pulled over for the dog to use the ‘restroom’. There was a dam that looked manmade. Until we got a closer look and realized those trees had been chewed down not sawed. Amazing engineering by these cuties!
This was entirely enjoyable! There are a number of beaver dams near here and though I've often seen trees that have been gnawed down ,I've never been lucky enough to see it happening so thanks!

Beavers are so cool! When I go to the river fishing at night they come up and smack the water with their tail sounds super loud! After a bit they know I’m not a threat and they go back to doing beaver stuff 🤣

I'm more amazed that the beaver tolerated the cameraman this much. Not everyday you see wild animals, seeing humans standing some distance away unmoving, proceed to just do their usual daily business like nothing's happening.
@@hydrosphagus9672 Hm... One day I photographed an American robin on eggs at the distance of a hand and spent about half an hour at the spot. Not only was she used to the camera and tolerated my presence, she even left the nest leaving me along with her eggs to get some food, so I could touch the eggs. I also saw some beavers in a very crowded park. The ability of many wild animals to adapt themselves to humans is often underestimated.

In contrast to that, my daughter had spent hours not moving just to see if a usual wild baby rabbit could become used to her well enough to approach very closely and start taking some oat grain she offered. After a few days, she succeeded. And my son managed to grow a little pine and a little spruce out of seeds in a small pot.
At the same time, I appreciate the author's patience, too. He managed to get very close to the beaver's life.

@@hydrosphagus9672 Beavers are incredibly skiddish, they'll hold their breathe for 10-15 minutes or go to their den to hide even just hearing people. I used to walk or bike a trail that had several ponds that beavers occupied and not once in several years did I see one of them. There were a few times I could hear splashes as one likely dove under water but nothing more.
Loved it when he takes a break to look up, and wood chips just fall from his mouth.

So cool! I was driving with my brother from Colorado to northern New Mexico and we pulled over for the dog to use the ‘restroom’. There was a dam that looked manmade. Until we got a closer look and realized those trees had been chewed down not sawed. Amazing engineering by these cuties!
I’m going to have to up my game… watching this has inspired me to chew through 20 Pringles at once.
