I am a single father and my 8 yrs old daughter wants curls on her hair.... I am her hero right now.... love the video.... I never imagine I was going do this in my life...
Being the eldest and without a mother meant that no one really taught me how to 'girl'. A simple brush will do, no make-up, and I'm all done. I'm 18 now, and finally, feel ready to try to put a bit more effort into my hair and appearance. I'm so envious of the girls at my college for always looking so beautiful and wish I could replicate it. I wouldn't say I'm a tomboy, I've just never felt 'ready' to click on a tutorial and have a go.
I’m not a tomboy either but I also want to put more effort in and do all the feminine things I always wanted to do but never did for some reason. It’s really hard tho, it feels like my skills are at -10 while every other girl has been doing their hair and makeup since like middle school or something
I’ve been doing my hair all wrong until i saw your video!! It was so easy to follow your instructions! My hair is your length and it took me minutes (versus an hour) to curl my hair!!! Thank you x a billion!!! 🥰❤️💕
Literally struggled to for thirty minutes to figure out how to curly my long hair. I watched two videos then thankfully found yours! Love the advice and the video. Liked and subscribed 💕
when I was younger, I used to use a curling iron and I would start from the bottom and roll it all the way up. it gave a really weird curl so I moved on to a wand. I liked it for a while but the last few times I curled it with a wand, I hated it for whatever reason. I used the same wand for 4 years and loved and now I don't like it so I filled my watch later with how people curl their hair. I watched yours and didn't need to watch the other 14!! thanks so much this helped me out so much.
When I was little I used to curl my hair with a curling iron that way too haha. We didn't have TH-cam videos in those days so I had no one to teach me how to use a curling iron.
Fantastic tutorial, from start to finish... your hair is crazy nice! I am hopeless with hair, like really bad, but still, I am going to try this exact routine... thank you
I love this video!! Over the years I have tried almost every tutorial out there and this has been the only one that works for my long and high density hair!
I get a foilyage! Foilyage is a little different than balayage and is meant for people with dark hair who want a brighter blonde balayage. The best way to communicate the color you want to your stylist is to show them pictures!! I usually compile a bunch from Pinterest and Instagram and then ask my stylist to recreate them:)
I have a few hair photos/videos on my Instagram that a lot of women use for reference when they want hair like mine! instagram.com/p/B219nNsJ60V/?igshid=3t5prdvsnndj
I don’t usually leave comments but I feel like I should for this one. This video was so helpful. I’ve never been able to curl my hair with a clamp and now I can. Thanks!
You have your technique down pat! The end results were so beautiful. Thanks for the tutorial, this is exactly the type of curls I was looking to learn how to replicate. Wish me luck cause I’m so clueless and have never used a curling iron on myself. 😬
Soo I finally got my first curling iron and I’ve been too scared to use it! This really helped because otherwise I’d probably have no clue what I’m doing! Can’t wait to try this 💗
thank you so much for this video! i just got extensions put in and have been trying to figure out how my hairstylist curled them, this seems to be how she did it!! i seriously cannot thank you enough for this tutorial ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this video!! Ive never curled my hair before but been wanting to do it since forever and your easy to follow instructions make me feel ready to try it out😁😁
I’ve been trying to curl my hair for so long and looking at videos and this was the only one that gave me an amazing result (no offense to the others just my opinion) Thank you so much ☺️
i was looking into get a lange wand im on watchin them curl their hair and thinkin i just co uldn't do it . my arm got tired watching them hold that thing upside down and wrappin the hair around the wand..just no give me old school anytime....i learned some nice tricks from you i definatly need a bigger wand now that my hair is long again ..your hair is gorgeous and really makes me miss the days wheni i had alot of thick hair..also nice trick for the longer hair
Highly recommend getting a silk pillowcase (much more gentle on your hair and preserves the hairstyle!). When I had extensions I would also put my hair in a very loose braid before I went to bed.
Bought the same exact curler yesterday and received it today just so I can practice and do curls like you. Also gotta practice with my extensions too.😭
This was one of the most easy to follow tutorials I’ve ever seen. Thank you so much!😄 most other tutorials just wouldn’t click with me and I was always left slightly confused lol
Awesome video! My hair is finally growing like I want it to, and I've started barrel curling ironing it. I have very fine hair that doesn't hold curl very well. My technique has to be hair Moose first, large tooth comb out to smooth it, then curl it, I actually use your same curling technique, then I arrange it like I want, then for my hair I still need more product, so I have to spray it with hairspray when I get what I want. It only takes me about 10 minutes. But I love the effects, and I do have sponge rollers but much prefer the barrel curling iron! Thanks again for the awesome video! My hair wasn't really growing like I wanted so I started taking biotin with my vitamins, it really does make a difference!
Your video was very helpful! I just bought a new curling iron and was struggling with it since my hair is fairly long and thick. I like the way you started in the mid section of the hair...seems much easier...I struggle to get to the ends!
So many helpful tips! I can't wait to try this. I have super straight silky hair and I always struggle to keep my curls. Maybe its cause I don't let it set. LOL Edit: OMG!😭Finally, curls that stay all day! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Omg thank you so much for this video I’m a young teen and I’m starting to put more work in my hair but it’s so frizzy and the curls always fall out it’s so frustrating
That's funny 😄 I use the curl wand because I don't understand how to use the clamp on a curl iron but this video helped im gonna try to do this in the morning! Thanks love 💕
Here she is having a perfectly curled hair, and here I am following her routine and looking like I went across a tornado I didn't think curling your hair could be this difficult >
I would recommend not using hair spray before you curl because it isn't very good for your hair but some of my favorite brands are Kevin Murphy and Ouai!
Omg I'm I'm glad I found this video! I'm pretty sure you said you have extensions on in this video. What kind do you have? I just got the sewn in ones and I'm trying to figure out how to curl my hair for the day and what to do at night lol I know some braid them, but i don't want a weird crease in those beautiful curls! If you have sewn in, what do you do when you go to bed? Thanks so much! ❤
Hi! Yes, I had extensions in this video. They were also sewn in, I had two rows- I'm not sure exactly what they were called though! I would do a super loose low brain at night and that would preserve the curls pretty well. Use a scrunchy or the hair ties that prevent creases vs a normal hair tie. That helps a lot!
Beautiful blonde hair color! Can you tell me what color did you ask for? I recently got mine and was told it's Violet Gold. Love 💘 it, but very curious about yours. Thank you 🙏 for your video.
Hi! My hair is a bronde balayage essentially. That's super general because it's a mix of blonde and brunette. I basically compiled pictures from Pinterest to show my stylist! Here's my hair inspo: www.pinterest.com/marisakayxx/beauty/
What temp do you keep the curling iron on? You held the hair on it for a pretty long time so I’m thinking maybe you use a lower temp. I tend to turn the heat up to get it to hold - same with flat iron - but it’s rough on hair for sure. Can’t wait to try this out. Thanks!
Do you use any product in your hair before you curl? My hair usually curls very well, but for some reason with this technique my curls fell out really fast.
Hi there! My hair holds curls pretty well on it's own, but they do start to flatten out after 1-2 nights of sleeping on them. Using a larger barrel curling iron like a 1.25" also helps!
Do you use a brush or run your fingers through it? I think the bristles on the brush may break up your curls too much, especially if your hair doesn't naturally hold curls very well. Also, let your hair set completely, I try to wait 15-20 minutes after I finish curling my hair before I break up the curls at all.
Depends on the brush: always use a “wide tooth comb” with a larger distance between the sticks. It won’t ruin all the work you’ve just done. That’s what I’ve learnt!
The Morocoon oil luminous hairspray is great!! I can use a lot of it and it doesnt change the texture of my hair at all. So it’s not crunchy at all! Plus it smells really good!
Yes! I hold the iron straight up and down for both sides. One side is always more awkward than the other, and my left side took a lot longer to get good at but it just takes practice!!

🥺💖💖💖
how did the curls turn out ? what was her reaction ?!! 🥺🥺🥺
@@christalcorona3594 the curls were great… a few teachers were like “her hair is awsome!!”… that felt nice…

Good hair style, mascara and tinted lips is all I would do for everyday look, if I were 18.

It’s really hard tho, it feels like my skills are at -10 while every other girl has been doing their hair and makeup since like middle school or something
Your hair is literally the prettiest I’ve ever seen!! The color, length, look everything is just so beautiful ❤️
I’ve been doing my hair all wrong until i saw your video!! It was so easy to follow your instructions! My hair is your length and it took me minutes (versus an hour) to curl my hair!!! Thank you x a billion!!! 🥰❤️💕
I must have terrible hair because no matter the barrel, with or without product, setting or not, my curls fall out 😰

Do you use hair spray after curling to make sure it stays curly as long as possible?
lol 😂 Love how she keeps a close eye on that spider!
do you hairspray them before you let them set? or do you hairspray them after they've set?
Great tutorial! Your hair is so pretty.
This is my favorite tutorial on curling hair by far😍
Thank you so much!

You make it look so easy... thank you 😊 I will try your technique xxx
Omg tysm I always see tutorials for like medium hair and it never works for me. My hair is long and I needed this
Thank you. What temperature do you set on your curling iron?
I usually set it on 4 and my iron has levels 1-5!
What curling iron is this? Sorry if I missed it in the video and stopped and played so much, trying to copy the curl haha
It is the revlon 1.25" curling iron, and it is linked in the description box☺️

I just use heat protectant spray before I curl! You may need to turn the heat higher on your curling iron or hold it for a few seconds longer:)

1.25 inch!

They are the Yoko by Denim Forum!
Omggg!! 💗 love it and thank you:)) it helped a lot 😁
Omg thank you I did it and it worked and I like it!☺️❤️
I brush my hair and the curls immediately go straight 💀
Me too. Why does this happen?
Do you use a brush or run your fingers through it? I think the bristles on the brush may break up your curls too much, especially if your hair doesn't naturally hold curls very well. Also, let your hair set completely, I try to wait 15-20 minutes after I finish curling my hair before I break up the curls at all.
SAME
Depends on the brush: always use a “wide tooth comb” with a larger distance between the sticks. It won’t ruin all the work you’ve just done. That’s what I’ve learnt!
What brand is your barrel?
do you curl your hair the opposite way on the opposite side? for example so each side of your head curls away from each other? :) x
Yes!
Chi truffle and Pearl hairspray. Flexible but strong hold which never gets crunchy!
Thank you for your suggestion!
Love the tutorial! Thank u for this! Also where did u get your jeans? They look like they actually fit your waist so well!😭
They're the Yoko jean from Aritzia! I have a full video of my favorite jeans for petites on my channel:)
Your hair is amazing! The curling iron you linked looks like a different one from the video. May you tell me the exact one you used here please? ❤️🥰
It's the revlon curling iron with a 1.25" barrel! I got mine at Target or Ulta
is it weird that i have naturally curly hair, but i want to straighten it and re curl it so it looks better?
i’m barley seeing this but i wanted to ask what level of heat did you use?
The Morocoon oil luminous hairspray is great!! I can use a lot of it and it doesnt change the texture of my hair at all. So it’s not crunchy at all! Plus it smells really good!
Can you show how you hold the iron for the other side ?? Still hold iron pointed up? I can never do that side !
Yes! I hold the iron straight up and down for both sides. One side is always more awkward than the other, and my left side took a lot longer to get good at but it just takes practice!!
Wow, your hair is beautiful 😍😍
Thank you!
Marisa Kay you’re welcome 😁
