Elon Musk has two accomplishments.
#1) The Falcon 9, it is an awesome ship that is 90% reuseable and it is awesome. . . Elon was a major player and looks to be an economically feasible reuseable rocket unlike all the other reuseable rockets before Falcon 9 that were economically unfeasible. This is by far his biggest accomplishment.
#2) EV Push, While everyone agreed that building EVs was possible . . . No one thought it would become economically viable. While Tesla has taken over 10 Billion in Subsidies, ZEV credits, and customer EV tax incentives. . . They have proven to become cashflow positive.
Everything Else Elon has promised has really not happened. The shear number of missed deadlines, lies about certain things being ready RIGHT NOW!, and the fact that both the BAttery swap, the Zip2 Server, 2016 Solar City tiles were not real yet, and the 2016 + 2019 FSD driving videos were completely cooked and inaccurate representations of what Tesla could do. . . When you look at the big picture, the guy is a liar. Lot of people can accomplish a lot of good when they when they are given an 11 figure sum of money from the government.
At the moment I see industrial sabotage as a risk that cannot be miitgated. If car companies want to smash into Tesla unmanned vehicles on the road, they can. It won't have to take many for regulators to over-react.
Regulators will make human driving illegal
It's just a grift to get more funding. The man is a grifter. He uses inherited money to buy a thing, pump it up with hype, and escape with money. Lather, rinse, repeat.
That US Oconomics in a nutshell. Capitalism and corporate greed is crushing the average American.
