Hola L&O, That is really interesting. You made good use of that money! Happy and Alive! Safe and happy travels and see you in the next one. Lots of love! Sue ❤❤❤
I just started watching your video of you guys traveling around the world! I just shared it with my wife and she’s starting to watch it as well. What an adventure! May I ask what your food choices looked like to keep on that budget? We might consider traveling around the world or portions of the world in stages and that’s one thing that I’m wondering about. What kind of food did you eat and how did you prepare it? How much of it was restaurants and how much of it did you make on the road? Thank you so much for sharing with all of us your adventure!
Hey guys! Amazing that you’re going to travel around the world ❤️ our food choices weren’t very nice 😅 mostly bread and cheese from the supermarket to keep the cost down, if you watch the series you’ll see our bread and cheese variations from around the world 🤣
I have a pan asia trip in head, 41K GBP is quite a bit for me so I'm going to avoid shipping, I'll have to get good at camping and also find how I can stay for free/cheap as you suggested and finally, I'll need an economical bike 😂
I found out about your trip when i saw you at motorcycle live show in feb! I had a stand near the stage so heard your talk about 35 times 😆 amazing stuff ive been subscribed since. Well done
That's a great breakdown - thanks - I hope YT and merch cover all of that! I'm still catching up on the earlier videos as I only found the channel about 6 months ago, but could you give a brief overview of how your video editing and publishing system evolved over time?
Fantastic, this is great information that will help influence my route. I’ve only got 1 year to travel, and budgeting £50k for emergencies, but the aim is to minimise as much as possible. (I am Scottish - lol) Really surprised you spent so little on sightseeing given what you showed us. Thankyou.
@@LaviandOllie Will be travelling in 2029 when I can access funds that will be due to me, so things still flexible depending upon global politics. Your route would be perfect, and is engrained in my mind, but I would fly Glasgow to Rio de Janeiro to save a bit of time. I ride Europe regular anyway. Not keen on rising Africa. If I can’t get through Russia at that point I was thinking Glasgow - NewYork, Central America, South America (hopefully ferry crossing back on by then), after South America - Australia then India (if Myanmar still unrealistic) Pakistan, China, The Stans, Europe, back to Glasgow in UK. I know that 2029 sounds a long way away, but fully committed to it, and it is pretty much, what is keeping me sane/focussed during my current responsibilities.
Very generally, rail infrastructure construction costs can range from $2 million per mile in flat rural areas to $300 million per mile or more in urban areas.
Amazing, Ithink that costs are low. You guys really know your way with money. I also have the new 2023 Vstrom 1050 and plan my alonebtrip to Albania in few weeks but only from starting point Slovenia.
You should look into a enduo bike, half dirt bike half street,, a lot lighter but not as fast top speed, but great in mid speed gear holding and off-road times
@@davidmatthews3093 that's why I suggested it, so he can keep his bike skills up and have fun around town, enduo bike is not a tour bike , been riding from age 6 , and still can ride as a old man
Great info thanks. Would imagine the cost would be significantly more if one decided not to camp during the trip as accommodation costs can be a killer.
A little bit, or maybe a considerably amount of money would have gone as well into the equipment if it wasn't for the kind and much appreciated donations along the route (helmets, side cases, tent, sleeping bags and so on). When considering this kind of adventure you have to consider replacing some of your gear. Nothing last forever and you never know what the next mile will bring. 😊
How was the Vstrom? Or should I say Bumblebee! I mean in terms of comfort, reliability, cost of repairs, parts availability, pros and cons for this long journey, etc. New video?
I thought your sightseeing expenses would have been more because you guys went to some amazing tourist places along the way. I also thought fuel would have been more. Now I need to translate your costs from pounds into "real money" so I can understand it! 🤣 I'm loving my Overlander T-Shirt, I just got it off my clothes line a few minutes ago actually! 😁
Wow, 3.5k on fuel to go around the world, I’m impressed, it used to cost me more than that to commute to London for work every year…. I’d much rather spend it on a world adventure 😉
Ouch, basically 52 grand. I'm surprised groceries turned out to be so cheap though. Same with fuel, that was affordable indeed. I once wondered how much it would cost to ride a moto across Europe and I thought you'd need thousands, but this proves that's not the case.
41156 GBP = 52,560 $ 🌎🌎 A huge amount - almost a quarter of the amount for shipping and transportation (does the amount include the price of bumblebee?🏍 ) In the next round, stay away from the shipping areas and ferries -💚 happy and alive ☺
You been kicked out and living in the shed now? Love the chicken that's one cheap meal sorted. That was one expensive ride out in total you did really well on fuel cost what MPG did Bumblebee record?
@@701Adventures no they didn't, whether they broke even or not was never mentioned, like I said, how much profit they made, if any, is none of my business, but as they told us all the costs involved I am just curious if they ended up out of pocket or not, it's a fair question I believe.
@@glenbolton They mentioned at the end of the video that they nearly recouped all their costs from TH-cam, Patreon support, merchandise etc. You obviously didn’t have your ears switched on at that point. 😂
Just found your channel. This was the first video I watched and maybe that was a mistake. It was useful information but I have a question. Are you two always like this? I'm exhausted just listening to you.
Well, cheaper than raising a child that's for sure, 🤔I know what I'd rather do 😉🤣😂. You're married now so you can't win Ollie, you took Lavi' half round the world to get married then on a half round the world honeymoon where she turned into a wife by complaining that you bought yourself a hat. This fact is now never to be lost in time 🙊🙉🙈🤣😂

Thanks for the transparency on costs. I have not seen any other world travellers who share such data, so thanks for that!
Sounds like a lot of money, but really for nearly 2 years on the road, that's pretty damn good.
Love you guys 🥰
❤️
Incredible- I watched your trip- thank you-you taught me some valuable lessons that I hope to hold on to!
❤️❤️❤️
Keep the videos coming; we love each one!!
😍😍😍
Wow for a trip around the world that’s awesome. Thanks for sharing 👍
😍
Wow … that’s a detailed breakdown. You did brilliantly to stay under your anticipated daily budget. ❤️
Glad it was helpful!❤️
It was a very useful episode, usually detailed costs are never mentioned in adventure channels.
Thank you so much for watching ❤️

Very interesting facts, thanks. Lavi looks great.

Good records. I avg about 50usd a day. It's crazy in US now. A whole new level

Glad you both made it unscathed unlike a few other very unfortunate couples who've made similar ventures.

There was no mention of how much Lavi spent on bin bags and tape, that has to of be one of the biggest expenses? 😂😂😂
£0 They were given to us 🤣
"A lot of cheese and bread" very true 😂

Thanks. That is neat yo know.

What's happening with Bumblebee now???
It use to be around 30 grand everything gets dear the sooner you get on the bike and go the better
Did you buy the Vstrom new and do you still have it?
I was planning as a solo traveler £20.000 per year and anticipating 3 years plus £15 grand to initially walk out the door with bike and gear etc.
How was the Vstrom? Or should I say Bumblebee! I mean in terms of comfort, reliability, cost of repairs, parts availability, pros and cons for this long journey, etc. New video?
We’ll include it in the next Q&A 😊🐝
£8 on souvenirs! And a few Pesos on gelatine mousse😂.
Cant knock a Fez. Great effort with your budgeting!

$78,900.92 AUD.
However (in a Clarkson voiceover) how much did you make?
Did you recover the trip costs from the TH-cam videos at least ?
Some 😊

Yes we’ll definitely stay away from container shipping 🤣
What is your plans now?
Coming up soon ❤️
Still wondering.. 7520 pound divided by 122.76pound per day, thats mean 61 days.. Doesnt seem quite right here
wow

did you recover the £41,000 through TH-cam and sponsorship deals etc, i do not want to know the amount, just whether you broke even or not

Yep ☺️

Maaaaaan. Even the rooster is shocked and can't believe what he heard about the numbers 😜🤭🫶
🤣🤣🤣
Ok ☕🌹 super 👌
I don't see my comment here?
Bonus of cheap fuel in some countries. Really surprised at the total cost 👍
