I made a small octo with a 2mm hook and he’s so cute!!! Three fourths of an inch tall! I luuuubbb hiiimmm so much thaannkk you so much for the tutorial!!!!!
You don't join at the end of the round - just keep going in a spiral! (There is one part of the pattern where you join the round, but the video tells you specifically when to do it)
Started one today on a 5 hour train ride and finished in the evening. Used a larger hook as i only had one on me (5mm) so it turned out larger but I love it ❤
I'm not much of a beginner but I loved this tutorial. I really liked the fact you must for to the point with the stitches and what you have to do. I don't recommend this for SUPER beginners as you didn't explain how to do the books but overall this was very helpful. :)

I saw your video short of the micro octopus and thought the link you supplied there was going to be a tutorial for that one. I'm sooooooo curious about the size of thread and crochet hook you use for the micro crochet octopus because it is absolutely amazing! Thanks for sharing this one too but I hope to see a tutorial for micro crochet although I'm not sure my eyesight will allow me to do it. LOL!
I used normal sewing thread and a 0.4mm hook for the micro octopus. The pattern is exactly the same as this one, but if I filmed it with thread nobody would be able to see what's happening :)
After 50 mins doing it it was a big faill😭😭😭 so i repeat all the step again and my octupus is beautifull Btw thanks even o dont understand the words 😅😅

Hello! You don't need to do a slip stitch at the end of every round. There's one round that has a slip stitch at the end, but I show you where in the video :)
5 half double crochet means you make 5 of the half-double crochet stitches in one space. 2 single crochet means do two of those stitches in one space. Hope that helps 🙂

@@f1shyv1shy35 You might just need to practise getting your tension right! If your stitches are too loose or too tight, they won't look right, and it will be difficult to see what's going on. Hope that helps 🙂

I’m getting a bit lost on round 10. I’ve tried the back loop invisible decrease like you show in the video but I’m not ending up with a ridge. I’m also curious if you do the back loop decrease differently. Doesn’t a typical back loop decrease go through the BLO of the second stitch, then through the BLO of the first stitch then yarn over and pull through? Help!
You can do a normal decrease through the back loops if it's confusing to do the invisible decrease. I've always done mine this way, but there are probably other ways to do a back loop decrease. If you still don't get the ridge, make sure you're working through the back loops, and that your octopus isn't inside out.

You should be increasing 6 times on round 3, to get to 18 stitches

I use 6mm black beads, so you can probably use 6mm safety eyes!

Excuse me but is the second round of decreasing inside of outside
It should be inside, leaving a ridge on the outside. But if your amigurumi is inside-out it might be confusing

Round 4 is *one increase and 2 normal single crochet* repeated 6 times so you end up with 24 stitches.
