      Hampsho as a veteran, it’s their right to do as they please. The NFL never even used to have the players out on the field for the national anthem before 2009 when the DoD did their deal with the NFL.
      They aren’t kneeling to protest the flag.

    Jerome Bettis is a Pittsburgh Steeler through and through. It was a pleasure to watch this man play and his unselfishness and leadership meant so much to the Steelers franchise. The Rams drafted him but to a generation of Steelernation he belongs to us and the memories he made in the Steelers Black and Gold. God bless Jerome and the whole Bettis family ❤️

    • @tgriffin3059
      @tgriffin3059 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's one of the few times a move really paid off, almost EXACTLY the way you'd expect. When I heard he was going to the Steelers, I had a feeling this was a match made in heaven. They had had some good success with Barry Foster, and Bam Morris...but it's hard to beat Jerome. Great at the point of attack, but, hey, once he got into the secondary, NOBODY back there wanted to deal with him....corners, safeties, even some linebackers weren't in his size and strength category...As the game went on, people were less and less enthusiastic about getting in that big man's way!!!

Everyone of them is special and unique in their own way. This is the first time I'm finding out about jerome bettis and he is now my favorite Player because of how unselfish he is.

    Whoever chose the music that started at 30:40 is a genius. Him running, unstoppable with the snow coming down, it was like a hero coming out of Valhalla to save us all, or save the season. With all the good years, and the tragic losses, he was invincible at the end. We will never forget Jerome Bettis.

      Dragon Ballets Yeah memory blurs with time. This episode of a Football Life sharpened those memories. I had watched him from when he came to the Steelers in 93. I had forgotten the many things about him. Kind of bittersweet though. He's been gone for almost 13 years now, and all we have are memories. Just like with Troy 3 years gone, and the Steelers of the seventies.
