If it says knit six rows that sounds like knit every row (or knit back and forth) to me (which would create Garter stitch). Unless it is telling you specifically to work Garter stitch or Stockinette stitch (by saying something like 'knit six rows of Stockinette stitch). In that case, it would be knit one row, purl one row, repeat for four more rows (for Stockinette stitch).
I’m knitting moss stitch & the pattern states commence pattern on the wrong side, can you tell which side is the wrong side by which end of the knitting needle the cast on tail is on? Example pointed end is right side or end of needle is wrong side? Please can anyone help me??

Just have to say, that color looks amazing on you!!!! wow!! I can't wear that color at all but you were made for it. So.. I have learned a lot in this video but I still have questions.. I am following a cable chart someone did on a circular needle (I am a beginner just practicing) but I wonder if I need to do the stitches opposite from the chart every row? rather confusing. I was counting everything perfectly but the cable just got cut off after the initial row with reverse stockinette. It's confusing to think about having to do the opposite from a pattern? I hope you get what I mean.
Thank you for the compliment! If they are knitting in the round then they always have the Right Side facing them (so no working Wrong Side rows). If you want to work the same pattern flat then, yes, you will have to work some rows of the chart with Wrong Side rows. But, generally, with cable patterns, the wrong side rows are very easy to work - you usually just have to knit the stitches that look like knit stitches and purl the stitches that look like purl stitches.
Omg I've been doin it wrong I've got purl stiches at front side of work and back has ended up garter stiche at the back bare I mind I'm a learner I've joined a few groups so I can learn wil my scarf still work out? I'm a lefty and now got it other way around pls help.
Wow if I wasn’t sure before I’m even less sure now!!

Hello, so when you cast on then start garter stitch row, that is the right side row before turning to start new row, correct?
It can be - Garter stitch is reversible so you could choose the side you want to be the right side.
Sorry your answer is not helpful

Hello. Could I please have your help?? When I’m knitting if I’m knitting the right side. Is it facing me
Or away from me?
If you're knitting the right side then it is facing you as you knit.
Love the new hair look!!
Thank you! 😊 The bangs came out a bit shorter than I intended but that happens when you cut your own hair! 😁
Which side should the tail be on doing garfer st with a long tail cast on then?
If the first row is your RS row, the tail will be on the right.

Hi I’m trying to learn on to make my own patters, Do I knit the opposite on the wrong side to get my pattern?
Yes, that's what you would do.
Is it possible for you to do a braid cable reversible scarf cause i am gettin stumped on row 1
Is this for a particular pattern? You can always contact the designer for help.
@@NerdyKnitting it is the scarf my daughter chose i get part of it but when it says c4f(k1p1) it confuses me
Does the pattern have an abbreviation section? It should tell you what that means and how to work it.
@@NerdyKnitting i dont know
So the row says *(k1p1) 2times p1 c4f (k1p1) 2 times p1* repeat * to* 3 times ( k1p1) 2 times
