I don't think there's anything serious about Pearl watching Steven sleep. It was a joke banking on her weirdness, obsessiveness, overprotectiveness, and generally her not understanding humans very well. She probably heard that humans sometimes die in their sleep and freaked out about it.
i will say Steven’s Voice Actor is almost always doing a voice, his actual voice is much deeper and I think we heard that in the episode with the frog and bunny garnet one
He was around 15 or 16 so when the show first started and he's currently 24. Season by season you can hear him trying harder and harder to sound like Steven. While I was thrilled to see him at a con a few years back, I could tell he was aging out of Steven's voice, some notes while he was singing felt a little off/strained but he's a talented singer so it was still great.

When they say she "gave up her physical form," they mean she got rid of her body and left only her gem behind. That gem is part of Steven now.
Steven Universe gets DEEP. Like, super heavy for a kids show. Controversial, even, by some. The themes are so masterfully depicted that any audience could enjoy this show. That's why we scoff at people who dismiss cartoons as childish.
If I was reacting to something and it ends with a cliff hanger I'd just change clothes, pretend like it's the day that I'm supposed to react to that episode and react, but post that reaction at a later date.
Of course Pearl has to watch Steven when he’s sleeping. Humans are completely defenseless in that state, and could be hurt by any number of dangerous life forms. And this is it, when things start to get real. Looking forward to the next reaction episode
I would guess about Pearl watching Steven sleep, Since the gems seem to be the replacement to his mother figure, I would think that Steven could have had some normal child moments like not wanting to be sleeping by himself, being scared of the dark, imaginary monsters, etc, so he could have asked for company or to stay so monsters don't get him in his sleep. Gems don't seem to understand very well a lot of things and work more literal most of the times, so maybe Pearl just thought Steven used to like that she watched him sleep, because of course she cannot offer literally company due to the fact that gems don't need to sleep, but as Steven grew up he didn't need that kind of comfort anymore and she's not understanding that he is growing up.
when a gem reforms with a new outfit the design is usually kinda related to how they got poofed! so since pearl got stabbed in her stomach she reformed with a sash. they aren’t super consistent w this but it’s a neat lil detail!
Nope, you 100% on point. Round episodes 10-30 is where Steven's voice change is most noticable. Especially when you watch like episode 1 and 35, back to back, the growth in his voice is astounding!
Also, Zach Callison (Stevens voice actor) really grew up with the show cuz he was 15 when he started (I believe) and you can hear the difference between s1 Steven and s5 Steven if you compare them lol
Originally, there wasn't closing credit music for The Return, because that episode was followed immediately by the next story, which is really part two; at the conclusion of THAT episode (and the end of season one) is when the vocals come in.
It would’ve been such a great twist if Greg had been there a thousand years ago, and Rose had healed him to the point of near-immortal or something. A lot more to explain, but still would be cool considering all she told him about the war.
I remember watching the show for the first time and being so entranced by the end of S1, it really piques your interest more and more when learning about Rose, Steven, and the gems’ backgrounds and leaves you wanting to see what’s next. Such a great feeling !
So idk if this has already been answered for people, but Zach Callison, (Steven’s VA) was quite a bit older when voicing Steven. In some of the episodes, for example: Episode 33, (Garnet’s Universe) you can hear his actual voice narrating the end scene, which I believe you had also reacted to. Since Jasper--unlike Peridot--was a veteran of the rebellion, she knows what humans are and who the key players were on the Crystal Gems' (the enemy's) side.

Don't know if anyone else has commented this but, If you listen closely to the music every main/prominent character has an instrument tying them into the ost itself, steven has chiptune and strings, pearl has piano and harp, garnet has a bass synth and bells, and Amethyst has electric drums and bass
Also Steven Universe Save the Light is a fantastic game. It's the only console game, with a prequel game on mobile (that's good aswell, but abit simplistic if your a hardcore rpg player).
There is actually an almost open world Steven universe rpg, there are 3 games I think? With the 2nd one being the one most people like the most but I’m not too sure
you skipped three episodes (open book, shirt club and story for steven) technically you skipped four but you can skip say uncle (it's not canon). The episode order is wrong almost everywhere you'll have to check imdb to make sure you're watching the correct episodes in the correct order. With that said i'd recommend you watch jail break next and then the three episodes you skipped so that you don't ruin the flow. Just keep this in mind for the future.
