The ammo pouches are like condensed bullets, you craft bullets into pouches so that you can carry lots of bullets without them taking excessive amounts of space, and you put them into your crafting grid to revert them back to bullets! Just in case you haven't figured out yet.
Yeah 4 leather just to stack stacks of bullets like that is REDUCULOUSLY expensive given that the puches stack to 64... thats 4 stacks of leather you will never get back, just to save some inventory space no thanks. They need to tweak that recipe down to 1-2 leather MAX, 4 is just robbery
@@surr3ald3sign bit late to respond but a decent workaround I did was used the stack upgrade and refill upgrade on my backpack to keep refilling a stack of bullets when used
If you haven’t already equipped the ring of seven curses of camera you may want to soon as some of the items from the mod require you to have worn the ring for more than 99% sometimes 99.5% of your playtime
Trust me the ring isnt worth it in 99.5% if gameplay, the downsides just make the game hell to play and the upsides can be replaced by other features in the pack that give similar buffs without the curses...
If some of Alex's mobs are still active, like cave centipede or crimson mosquitoes, the curse will make it impossible to defend against them.
I've installed Relics, Reliquary, Artifacts and Enigmatic Legacy and I think you could maybe...maybe...live with the curse if you had the right objects from some of those. He's also using Improved Skills which could help greatly in this respect as it has a "Mob Repellent" skill.
To balance Alex's Mobs, though, without combing through the config, I think Simply Swords and Ars Nouveau helps the most; combined with your choice of trinkets (some are better than others which is why I have so many installed), I think you could live with the curse, but you'd really have to have mastered those mod mechanics.
The major problem with the curse is that it makes resource gathering a tedious task, and the function of the amulet that drops the portal to gather your stuff is a great save, but if you're not ready to have backup equipment, it's a nightmare.. I disabled it in the config and use the Corpses mod instead because you can retrieve stuff from a farther distance away which is a bit better but not much when under the curse.
Ideally, the curse should fade after so many in game days...as if you somehow passed a test. You still wouldn't be able to remove the ring but you'd get the perks.
The best part about it is the Ring of Enderchest, but there's another mod that lets you craft variant; that one you can craft 2 of and leave one at your respawn and still have access to the inventory that's on the corpse 🤔
Sorry, TL;DR, I know. I like the mod, though, but am disappointed at some of the features.

Any resource you want to use with the cutting board you can put in your off hand; when you right click the board with the propper tool, it will auto place the resource. Also, 2 cogs are a lot cheaper than 2 gear boxes ...
I've been playing this mod pack for a little while and have only recently started using Create. Enjoying this series it's teaching me a few things I did not know about Create and so much more.

Oh wow they can sell the single most abundant resource in the entire game for emeralds which are far less abundant? Wow so not useful what so ever 😐 iron in create is infinite and setting up infinite iron is like one of the first 5 machines you should ever really build in create there is no reason to ever set up any other form of iron collecting (in case you dont know ig, make a cobble gen, crush the cobble to gravel and then wash it and boom infinite iron for the rest of time)

Really enjoying watching your series! I am playing the same pack right now. And, wow, what a difference getting one of the guns makes in surviving the new, tough enemies added by some of the mods!
I've built a lot of cool machines in Create, all the usual stuff: Iron generators, mining contraptions, etc. But no other machine gives me the same satisfaction as a really well-designed elevator. They require barely any progression into the mod, and simply having a nice-looking elevator to ride down to your mines in never gets old! I haven't delved into trains very much, but I suspect they are just as fun.
My favorite create contraption i have build is probably my fully automated and unlimited cake factory to feed multiple Kekimuris from Botania
I feel like 3D trapdoors and doors would fit this modpack, so if I ever play it I'll probably modify them to just have a little bit of 3D in those holes instead of just invisible pixels

to get opposite rotation you can also just use 2 small cogs next to each other, no need for gearboxes.
And then bring two more cogs up to power the deployer! It's half the amount of cogs needed
Trust me when it comes to create, Chosen knows better than any of you. Hes been playing create almost since its first version iirc, so yeah he already knows pretty much any basic create tips yall are giving him... if you want to give him ideas you need to deep dive into niche functions of the mod that can simplify complicated crafts and machines bc otherwise he already knows 😐
Yea cogs are lovely, but they _create_ a lot of lag (ba dum tss) so I wouldn't use them to transfer power
@@surr3ald3sign Here have some neat tips. Did u know that u can power blaze burners with eggs? Or that drains are often just better conveyor belts? Or that before u get to brass age u can use weighted ejectors to get a specific number of an item into a stack!

Hey, Chosen! Love the series and I'm considering playing it myself. For the Create water wheels, both small and large, you should be bale to use soul sand to push the water up one side and over the top for even more rotational force! It's really space efficient for how much rotational force you get, that is assuming you aren't going to jump straight to a boiler soon. Good luck!
This hasnt been a feature in create since 1.18 now water wheels give the same rotation force regardless of how many sides the water runs on

@@Draemershi There was always the simple option of placing the Water Wheel horizontally and just having the water go all the way around it for the max SUs. Which is probably why they changed it so they always give the same SUs with the smaller ones giving less but at a higher speed and the larger ones giving more at a lower speed. Why bother overcomplicating it?

It's a happy little tune.
The villager comfort mod requires the villagers to be able to move freely from their home and be able to pathfind to other villagers, the problem is that villager gossip (which requires them to interact close up) causes iron golems to spawn. so if you use a carpet in front of their door, they can still pathfind but can’t actually leave their house because their foreheads are too big! It prevents iron golem spawning without any drastic measures and it keeps them safe!
There really is no reason to hate iron golems being around. Unless ur an idiot that equipped the ring of 7 curses at which point villagers and bees are basically entirely off limits bc of the "all neutral mobs are hostile" otherwise theres no need to restrict them as iron golems will help you defend your base area (context. The ring if 7 curses is almost never worth equipping, it locks you permenantly out of every single recipe that uses a heart of the earth *which is 90% of the actually useful items from the mod* and it makes the game extremely annoying to play and comes with the risk of perma death)
@@surr3ald3sign most enigmatic legacy stuff is inaccessible unless you spend 99.5% of your playtime in the pack’s hardcore mode, iron golems will hate you. It’s the nature of the modpack. Since chosen decided that he is going to play in hardcore mode, this is an issue he will inevitably face, regardless of your reasons for not doing hardcore. Plus the modpack has its own version of hardcore, it does not mean permadeath. Also bees are possible, you have to acquire bees without making them mad which means you can’t let them see you. There’s a villager structure that’s a tower shape that has a supplementaries cage with a bee in it who is not hostile to you by default. If you place it in an enclosure without it being able to pathfind to you then it won’t be enraged. Even better invest in the thief’s hood from environmental and invisibility potions and avoid their aggro altogether. Point being, the hardcore option makes things hard. Not impossible. Villagers are doable, bees are doable, things are difficult sure but it adds a challenge which is fun. If you don’t want to do that then don’t, but chosen clearly does so I stand by my advice.
@@damienedel5940 actually the ring can cause a perma death if your not careful. the entire "every death tears your soul apart" bit. when you die (if your wearing the other amulet you get) it will spawn 2 orbs that you can collect, but if you fail to do so then you loose 2 hearts of max health with each death. once your down to 2 left, next death is game over. I use the ring every playthrough myself, and its not that bad. there are also items you can craft later on that offset every curse except the insomnia one making a lot of the passives non hostile again.

@@somewhereupthere785create only gets out of control if you dont pay attention to where you are putting machines... as long as you use an ounce of forethought the mod stays pretty tame from start to finish, only crazy part is trying to make minmaxxed machines which is only worth while for like the 1% of players that actually play the pack through to end game
I like using thr LM spear ironport in this modpack its pretty good
You cna also Gear Ratio using the chain drives by adding a lever to where the rotation inputs

the gun mod is really cool it baffles me how the crafting table for it is so god awful
regarding the two gear boxes you used for the saw, you can use two small gears instead and chain them together

You should find a Tinker's Workshop. I think I came out of one of those with like 9 stacks of gearboxes and a bunch of drills and fans. There are also water wheel setups that you can canibalize if you choose to make it your home.
I found this weird castle thing, pulled a stack of andesite casings from a floor and left more than I took.

Making an automatic contraption that will take your soul sand to get washed after being converted from sand would be something I'd be looking forward to seeing if you got any tips on how to make it that would be awesome thank you😊

Put your food in your off hand and the knife in your main hand then just hold right click to cut the stack of food on the cutting board. Take the chameleon with a spider eye and it will rise on your head.

I take 5 psychic damage every time I see chase use an axe/pickaxe on a create block with a wrench in his inventory.
Are you going to do a Create tree farm? I need a refresher on that contraption as it has been a while since I have actually done that and I am going to need to do it soon as I want to automate the casings.
I think it's fun to have the "pewpew's" in the game. Not much different than bow's anyway. 🤷🏻♀️ I do think that there should be a limit to how much firepower you can have without having to wear special armor or something to be able to use it. 😅👍

yo chosen a cheaper way to do saws and to keep rotation of belts you can just place 3 cogs one on the side of the in belt one on the saw and then one on the out belt

Alittle tip for the blasters they can be enchanted as well best enchants for it would be if it's a pistol faster reload penetration and or acceleration (do more damage)

I personally find it better to have the lava, water, campfire, or soul campfire under the depot with the fan blowing upwards, hidden below. The floor contains the lava and the depot protects you from the air, no need to place trapdoors or something to contain things.
Also, why use 2 gearboxes when 2 gears would have been enough? An even better and more compact option, and with less lag, would be to replace the belt with a depot. The saw will send the result onto the depot where the deployer can still hit it. Might need a brass funnel to put the result in the barrel, but I'm not sure.
you can direction switch with just a couple of small cogs, no need to waste gearboxes...

Alternatives for the word gun: firearm, small arm, piece, slug thrower, etc. Demonetization or being lowered on the Algorithm because of a word just grinds my "free speech" gears. Also, did you put windows on Stephanie's home or are you just going to let a zombie reach in and....? Putting the fence two blocks high will help protect Stephanie from random (and not so random) missile attacks.
