Also Chosen I think it should be mentioned that catfish are huge lag sources because they swallow items and store NBT data, making them unable to despawn. They tend to find cracks to go downward into deepslate caves so it doesn’t seem noticeable. On a server of this pack we ran the command to kill all catfish and over 200 of them died and our fps went up by 10.
I seem to have similar issues with the meatures as they don't appear to despawn or burn in the daylight. They don't appear to cause to much lag but it may be something to look out for as well
Same thing happened with those ghost things that spawn in integrated dungeons when i made the creepy one my house

@@quantumechanicalhose yeah meatures count as animals the same as sheep and cows which is why they don’t despawn, the only real solution is to make the surrounding area not be grass blocks cause then they don’t spawn, but even then you still get starved and equestrians. Honestly enemy expansion mobs are really irritating.
One thing that's fun is that the Iron Spells shield spell creates a solid object aligned to the plane of your vision. So if you are looking down, it creates it horizontally. You can stand on it. Jump off of it. It's not just a shield. :)
You can take the gibberish book and trade it with one of the captured villagers in the courtyard after freeing him!
If you have the Book of Skills unlocked, manually using the XP Bank is a useful way to keep from wasting XP levels. Also, If you pull out all of your levels before claiming any quest rewards that potentially add "+XX Levels", you MASSIVELY increase the amount of experience you gain from that reward. Can get up into the 300-400 level range and never worry about XP again, fastest way to max all your Improvable Skills.

Thanks for the content. You've helped me a bunch with Iron's spells. Regarding the improvable skills, note that clicking big green 'check mark' in the upper right corner will allow you to deactivate the skill. Additionally, improvable skills has a craftable magnet slot, which means you could free up a ring slot. Looking forward to the next one.

With Improvable Skills, not only can you degrade skills to get a portion of your XP back, but you can also disable and reenable the skills by clicking on the checkmark in the top right of the skill window

In the ArchEvoker camp/tower chapel, under the lectern, you can find a block of emerald and a hidden loot chest under the spiral staircase above the chapel :P
i'd like to point out that this modpack gives tetra compatibility to ignitium, and it is pretty much The Best metal you can use for things (only second to nefarious ingots which you need the cursed ring for), and i think having a weapon you can upgrade is probably going to get you further than an unchanging sword, as cool as it looks haha

Iron spell Pyromancer hut has a chance to have a fire protection ring that is full fire and lava protection.
it is certainly a strange pack that gives such a hardcore challenge but also gives the Skill book and floods you with literally hundreds of XP levels for basic quest rewards so you can easily max out all those skills
this pack has bartering table, which can trade with piglins around.
all you need next is get some gold backpack or gold ring from Enigmatic Legacy

Full leapfrog skill lets you jump over 3 blocks. You can turn it off at will too. The big green checkmark turns it off.

You can disable each skill from Improvable Skills by just pressing the skill and clicking on the green checkmark. That will make the skill non active. Hope that helps!
As mentioned, you missed the chest beneath the pillar in front of the piston(which has a button on top of the bookshelf to push), but also a hidden barrel behind the ice wall
I would love to see more builds, maybe something taller? That would feel more cyberpunk!

14:10 in this room there is a chest on a platform above where the door is.
If you have Thundercalling you can make mobs that you hit (Even ranged) get struck by lightning after a few seconds, just make sure that the mob isn't fast enough to evade the incoming lightning bolt.
Also hitting atleast one mob will get rid of the thundercalling effect

Interesting...I've been wondering about what's the difference between Iron spell books and Ars Noveau. I guess the biggest from what I could tell is that Irons is more exploration based and has a ton more additions.
I've yet to try Irons (I'm stuck on 1.16.5 cause hardware is a brick.), So maybe there are more differences. Hmm...I'll have to try it out once I have the proper hardware. :D

If you only checked the description of all non-scroll items from this mod, it would turn out that you were wrong about many things
You can make armor better than steel with obsidian ingots
you can upgrade the dive helm tank and boots from create to netherite level if you add netherite pants you are lava proof.

My modpack crashed due to hammerlib. I tried deleting hammerlib and improvable skills which was what hammerlib was for in the first place and it just gave me a new crash error code.
I've been watching the "Steampunk" series since episode 1. but please don't get me wrong and please don't take it against me, but: somehow this doesn't look like steampunk...
Alas. Limitations of minecraft. It would be more steampunky if he used more copper in his build, worked with the trains, ect.
When i think steampunk i think varying styles all with similar themes.
Can be any architecture style but needs windmills turbines, the use of bare metals in structures, water wheels and copper pipes and don't let me forget cogs!
I'd love to see him turn his builds into tall towers slowly turning to metal materials with mechanical cog wheels exposed to the elements. Use of trains and nice airships.
The rest of the world is limited by the structures that spawn in the base mods unfortunately...

He pronounces things very weirdly sometimes almost as if he doesn't read the whole word lol. Calling the gyrodyne a gyrodone, calling ignitium ignium, etc... lol. To each his own I guess XD
I'm playing this as well, wanting to make some stuff from forbidden & arcanus but the crafting recipe for the Hephaestus forge doesn't show up for me anywhere. Am I missing something ? Is it broken?
I'm not positive, but I think he said hephastus' forge is a structure in the world
@@collincurtis5478had to look it up, it's just a multi block you make but it really doesn't tell you in the pack how to make it at all
@@collincurtis5478 The fore for Tetra is a structure in the world. The Hephaestus forge is a multiblock. Sort of like Immersive Engineering coke ovens.
@LeonGerity OK, ty for clearing that up. I did not realize how many forges are in this mod pack.
Forbidden and Arcanus is in 1.19 in this pack which is before the implementation of the upgrade rituals. For now at least, only tier 1 recipes are accessible without cheating.
