So who's picking up The Last Of Us Part 2 Remastered this weekend? 🤔 - Aaron
I'm in between should I purchase the upgrade or not. There's really no major difference graphically and the other game mode doesn't interest me at the moment. I honestly feel like it's a cash grab and a lot of these games are becoming that, especially remakes or remastered. Idk. Yeah it's only $10 but this remastered doesn't sit well with me...
I'm ready to upgrade for $10.00 for sure. Looking forward to the new modes. Still dreading seeing The Rat King again. Sheesh!
$10 upgrade, I’ll be doing that. Bought the game when it first launched and instantly loved it more than the first. The controls and combat are just leagues ahead, and the story somehow got more depressing. Love this series, I always look forward to see how much more sad it can get, just like the Game of Thrones franchise
I was initially going to replay the game last year, but when I heard rumors of the remaster, I decided to hold off. I'm glad I did, the AU$20 upgrade seems a bargain for the additional content offered and work that's gone into upgrading the game.
I did the $10 upgrade mostly for No Return mode and its hella fun👍
I'm looking forward to it. It's a good deal and I'm excited to try it out again. Haven't played it since around it released. Gonna try the play it on survivor or grounded mode this time and perhaps go for the platinum. I'm also looking forward to try out the rougelike mode.
Is it worth 10 dollars? Of course it is. It’s a masterpiece that runs in native 4K now. If you don’t like it then shut up and don’t buy it.
The game already ran in native 4k with the free patch. Watch digital foundry and see what the actual difference is.
Umm no you’re wrong. It still runs at a 1440p resolution in both the 30fps, and the 60fps. So get it right next time.

Exactly. I’ve already completed the game twice on ps5 and I will be playing it again. I’m really looking forward to the no return mode and the lost levels. I loved the part one full remaster on fidelity mode.

I love The last of us one and two so much. Really my favorite games of the PS4 and still on the PS5 i guess. Love the story and the games so much that i was really disappointed in the series on HBO. They started good, but had some weird changes in it, way to less infected and missed a lot of stuff from the games.
I have pre ordered the complete physical version for the PS5 even though i own the PS4 one. Usually i never rebuy games but this is an exception :)
$10.00? Absolutely. The Roguelite mode alone is worth that price.
A small but very noticeable difference between this game vs others is you can see your reflection in mirrors on this game. It's not that big of a deal but it is pretty cool.
In the adaptive triggers options would anyone know why Bow Resistance would be grayed out?
Yeah basically paying 10$ for a whole new game mode and the game totally worth it. I love both games but man part 2 is an amazing emotional rollercoaster
No return mode alone is worth the upgrade. Love the lost levels and the guitar free play.

Can someone tell me , I have this game on PS4 disc, but I now own a ps5 digital..so How can I upgrade, as I heard you need to inset the disc to get it for $10. Im I screwed and Have to purchase it full price?
Sorry but yes you will have to re-buy the game digitally. If you own the disc version its required that you insert the disc into the PS5 every time you play.

Thank you..mmm I really want to play this game, but FFVII rebirth is coming out soon and all these games cost a fortune. Especially if you are digital only..guess that is my own fault for buying a digital only PS5.
For as much as they are trying to push digital only, they give the better deals naturally to physical

I got a question are there any permanent unlocks for future runs in no return? Also, what options do you have for the custom difficulty
The characters, gambit challenges and encounter types are the main "permanent unlocks" in No Return. There is no weapons or skills that carry over or anything like that.
Here is everything you can customise with the custom runs: encounter types, gambits, dead drops, work benches, trading posts, timers, enemy types, boss encounters, the amount of active mods during encounters and mod types. Hope that helps! - Aaron

Yup definitely the best game of the last gen for sure. Not sure if it would be worth buying it at full price if you already have the PS4 original, but as $10 to upgrade, it's a steal.
No way this is the greatest game of all time. That accolade goes to The Last of Us PT 1. The Last of Us PT 2 is the second greatest game of all time😀

I did not play any game on PS5 yet that is as good looking as this game was on PS4 Pro. Even the recently released Alan Wake does not look this good. Naughty Dog are wizards at this shit; I really hope we get a new LoU soon since they have released zilch in terms of new games (not remakes and remasters) for the PS5 so far.
Alan wake 2 looked amazing. Almost as good as Last of us 2. But graphically, Demons souls remake takes the cake. Best looking game on PS5
It’s worth a 10 dollar upgrade but unless you’ve never played the original on ps5 then no. You can play it at 60 fps 1440p on the ps5 right now.
Can’t get enough of it this is revolutionary and people not really giving it its flowers….I haven’t felt this way about a series since Metal Gear,Final Fantasy 7….I adore resident evil 2 remake I believe it’s Tha greatest remake ever,but Tha last of us make me not even wanna play another horror game…It perfect…What wrong Tha people who not seeing it…You can’t be a hard core gamer this Game is amazing 😢

It already runs at 60fps. If you ignore all the cut scenes its a great game and beautiful graphics/gameplay.

It doesn't need a Remastered or a remake either. All it needs is a 60fps. This is nothing more but a cash grab from Naughty Dog to help finance The Last of Us 3!

They are just now starting to get steady games this year. The least that they could do was update the 2 or 3 good games that they released last gen.
Horrendous story. Terrible Storytelling but beautiful with great gameplay mechanics.
Definitely not a 10/10. The gameplay, production, environments/world building = yes definitely a masterpiece. Story of the first game had good aspects, but was nothing hugely remarkable. And even had some plot flaws. OK fine. Story in this sequel has some really good aspects as well if not better than the first. Some of it in fact, is actually extremely well done. However, there was such major problems at the same time that it definitely hurts it alot. As in problems that were just completely unnecessary. I had no problem coming into the game knowing that there was another character to play. Great, I'm sure she'll be just as great as the original from the first game. Nope. They tried to do a protagonist/antagonist thing with her. Along with other problems about her. It just failed so utterly miserably.
I mean, maybe for you. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. In my top 5 games of all time for sure.

The game is too divisive. It became soapbox on which people could espouse their politics, so now there are hardcore fans that will say it is the greatest game ever, or people saying it is woke garbage. In my experience people tend to not like it when their favorite characters die, and that usually comes with negative reception. Joel was a beloved character, so I am leaning toward the side that the game generally wasnt well loved, thanks to him being killed. Im guessing that how well the remaster does will be a clear indication of that, especially so since people already know clearly what happened in the game by now. If the remaster does poorly, then people really didnt like the game, if it does well, then it was well received. Although the activist who want to promote the message will probably buy multiple copies just to confirm their bias, so I think that will probably create a biased result especially since the opposite side cant counterbalance that in anyway. What are they gonna do, not buy the game more?
I went into TLOU2 believing the " Sheep " all bleeting together about the " Woke " storyline and daddy Joel dying...
Thankfully I played it at launch and was completely blown away.
Nothing is woke.
The writing is truly outstanding.
And to me Joel dying brutally didn't surprise me at all. He had it coming.
Jarring at first playing as his killer but once you find out what she's about and why she killed him you're routing for her.
A remarkable game.

@@geminisundone I would say if youre rooting for murder of any kind, there is something wrong with you. Killing of another human is only justified in self defense or in the defense of others.
Vengeance killing is never justified, nor is it ever the path a hero takes. It is always the path a villain takes. Like imagine if a guy raped a woman, and then a group of men got together and lynched that person, would you root for the group doing the lynching? What if that person they were hanging was black, would you still root for it?
That is exactly what happened to Joel, a group of people got together and lynched him, and you rooted for it...

Through the first game, him and Elle killed vast amounts of characters.

All them humans were like Joel n Elle. Fighting for what they can get.

Joel was a brilliant character but he absolutely had it coming and got off lightly with a clean golf club to the head.
His selfishness ( understandable as it was. Against his best wishes he got close to Elle. Daughter vibes he tried desperately to avoid given what happened to his daughter. ) Going back for Elle and killing the top surgeon and only guy who could find a cure. Abby's dad too. A nice guy who loved his daughter. Led to there being no cure... because he couldn't face the dreadful heartache again...a terrible dilemma he had.
But he chose wrong...and Elle told him that.
Elle throughout TLOU2 was even worse...at one point killing a heavily pregnant woman...
The brutal Elle Vs Abby fight at the end I was siding for Abby...I couldn't believe what I was thinking but there are no good people in TLOU2.
All are killers.
It's a game aswell so there's nothing wrong with me...or you.
Think about that and the philosophy running through TLOU2...those who seek vengeance dig two graves.

Joel's, and Ellie's character aside, you are still defending the indefensible. Abby is an evil character regardless of any other factor, because she lynched someone. No amount of rationalizing or arguments will change that simple fact.
If the KKK hung a guilty black rapist from a tree, should we root for the KKK? The answer is a resounding no. We know that to be evil regardless of the reasons for the lynching, because lynchings are not just, nor is any type of vengeance.
Even with movies primarily about vengeance, that is still a story about an evil character. What you are watching is a descent of a character into madness and depravity. What you are watching is a character's descent into being a villain.
I feel like it's not really worth it as I am not interested in the new modes.

Huh, wokeness? I can guess some of the elements you are referring to but to sum them up as woke is wrong to me. The story divides players which was the intention. It contains huge amounts of raw brutality which no one would regard as woke. 😂. Shame you skipped it as it’s an amazing story and game. Guess you won’t be watching season 2 when it’s released as it will be too woke…
