Thanks! Most if not all of our city park lakes have carp in them. Most are free to go to but some are small fee. Even the free ones have good carp populations.
Looks like peck park or Santa Fe dam, or even Hanson dam. Lots of SoCal spots look like this. Trash, homeless etc... but if you know what you’re doing, there’s bass! ✌🏻

Im actually thinking of stocking this place with a small modest amount of 70 rainbow trout and see what happeneds, although im not sure if its ok (legality wise) and there are "no tresspassing" signs so I dont want to email the city only for them to completely close it down and ruin it for everybody.

@@adamsfishingchannel514 theres a website that ships out different amounts of fish...rainbows, channel cats, tilapia, bluegills, large mouths..they have a 75 trout option ( male and female) for about $100...not too bad. Im just a bit worried word might spread too fast and everything is fished out within a week and no chance for these guys to try to survive a full year to breed. The site is called greenhillgardens and in assuming they ship out super fast vis UPS. At least thats how i recieve my goldfish when i order them online.

Just moved outta SoCal, piers are not the move, surf fishing can be promising if you get it down. Check Fishbrain and local maps/guides as to what are regulated and legal waters to fish... some of the not so regulated and legal fishing spots can be promising to! Tight lines and good luck.

Yeah it's not what it used to be but it could be pretty good still. I've never been hassled there a big on for about 10 years. I Have heard stories of people getting hassled how about you?
that is no real secret spot. i stopped fishing there a few years ago myself because the action was poor during the time. there were only tons of carp near the top. looks like you are on the east side of the lake near the railroad where the carp used to be. about a pack of 40 of them on the surface all 20lbs or greater.
I went today. Theres alot of water saw big carp. But the fish are dying there. The entire water edge has dead baby bass and bluegill..and the one that are swimming are turning black n half dead
where do you park and how do you get inside? i know where this place is at but whenever i drive by the entrance to get in is locked and its all fenced from what i can tell.

Most of the northern strains are gone according to the egg heads. However barret lake has them in San Diego.

big carp at harbor city lake behind harbor college. you will find big carp there
and free parking. you can walk all trails around lake but all piers have good fish

No fence climbing needed. There is an area where there is no fence along the rail road tracks.
