This video is perfect. For my dryer, everything was exactly the same.

I was told the blower had to be replaced if the motor was being replaced? Did I get a bad deal?

Only if it is broken, clean up if it is not! Good to go after that!

when I use a pair of locking pliers and a 7/8 socket something is still spinning so any time I put any torque on the socket handle there's a stepped slipping feel and the nut won't loosen. Any helpful thoughts? Thanks, great video otherwise.

It sounds as if the nut could be stripped and that is why it won't come out. What is the model number of your appliance?

The video, unless I missed, did not show that 3 screws hold the big tumble to the frame, bearing and shaft.

They don't say it but you have to lift the drum first and then pull it out. The ball shaft will come with the drum and you won't need to unscrew it.
