I'm a science genius girl. I won the science fair. I wear a white lab coat. DNA stands in my hair. Man, Freezepop was my favorite to play. I love Frequency and Amplitude. :)
I remember this fucking game. I’ve been searching forever to findout what this was called! I remember one day waking up and seeing it on my father’s nightstand and deciding to test it out. It didn’t even come with a game case, the cd was blank and had no title either. So crazy I finally found this elusive game..
I rememeber playing this on my Jampak disc, that also had Freekstyle and Half-Life on it. Sooo many hours invested into this, even if it was just a demo.
I never played this game, only Karaoke Revolution and DDR, but this is definitely bringing me back to 2001-02 times, so fun. I love it, wish I played it at the time.
I can thank Frequency and later Magix Music Maker on PS2 for beginning my hobby of music production on PC with FL Studio. And they say video games rot your brain
The guy playing this game drops a lot of his transitions. He'd have a much, MUCH higher score if he didn't waste autocatchers on easy tracks and only use them as recovery for mistakes. Needs to catch more multipliers and save them up for the long drum lines. He's good, but he's not nailing the fundamental idea behind the game's scoring mechanic.
My main freq was Spyderman. I went against another Spider-Man and a Batman online. I beat them both! Lol I also had a freq Spongerob. Man, I miss this game!
I've always played Amplitude (the sequel of this) and (at the time) never knew about its predecessor... were there one for PS1 aswell, or did everything start with Frequency for PS2 ?
Did you know about (SIC)? I made a ripoff of their FreQ i think, but i don't know if in front of the black background you were allowed to have an actual FreQ.
typical ps2 controller. you can play square triangle circle for notes, or L1 R1 R2 for buttons, or combo of the two. i play L1 R1 R2 because thats the ONLY way to play tier 4 songs as well as the hidden songs at the end. they are too fast and too note intensive to keep up with just your thumb on circle/square/triangle.
Before there was guitar hero there was frequency.
Before there was Frequency there was Um Jammer Lammy :v
Before Um Jammer Lammy there was PaRappa the Rapper
Before PaRapper the Rapper, there was Dance Dance Revolution.
Or wait...
ahh before Harmonix became nothing but a corporate bitch to crank out kids games
I knew I recognized Guitar Hero from somewhere
I remember that I played that game thanks to the PS2 demo disc. I was 6 years old and I didn't know what the hell I was supposed to do 🤣
same
I figured it out but not like this guy has it down. Seamless transitions
I've played both Frequency and Amplitude, and man they were hard to get the timing right. I mostly played the demo versions on both games.

Many many hours blasted out of my mind playing this game with friends. Way better tracks than amplitude. That one was a disappointment for us
God, this game banged.

The HD version of Amplitude may not inculde FreQ, and is it for PlayStation3.
They need to remake this
Yay!! I'm not the only one still playing this!! :D
I've always played Amplitude (the sequel of this) and (at the time) never knew about its predecessor...
were there one for PS1 aswell, or did everything start with Frequency for PS2 ?
Guys, they remade a game like this! There's a free demo. It'd called AMPLITUDE! I just made a video of it on my channel. It's for ps4.
+Chosun Shepard It's the same company! It was a recently kickstarter funded project.
+Joe Castillon I didn't know! How cool!
+Chosun Shepard There's Frequency, then Amplitude, then the PS4 remake.
Did you know about (SIC)? I made a ripoff of their FreQ i think, but i don't know if in front of the black background you were allowed to have an actual FreQ.
God this is the most Y2K thing ever invented
It took me awhile to beat this game
Holy crap I remember this game. Wasn't there a free-play mode?
What controller and button configs would enable one to play this game on expert?
typical ps2 controller. you can play square triangle circle for notes, or L1 R1 R2 for buttons, or combo of the two. i play L1 R1 R2 because thats the ONLY way to play tier 4 songs as well as the hidden songs at the end. they are too fast and too note intensive to keep up with just your thumb on circle/square/triangle.
This game is Gucci af

Me sad

What was the concept of this game I really liked it but yeah....
2020 anyone?
Is there any games like this on xbox 360??
What happened to the developers of this game?
They're making amplitude right now, but in case you don't know these are the guys who made guitar hero and rock band
They contracted aids and died
Lemme get a steam port
The original version is actually Amplitude, its old game which i play on the ps2 emulator now.
Incorrect sir. Frequency came before Amplitude
Oh... Okay.
< -- Paradose
The opening video makes no sense!
Rock Band Blitz
Games like this are why I don’t pay for app-games. They simply are not this good.
I would’ve smoked you though. ;P
I MISS FREQUENCY AND AMPLITUDE DAMNIT.
Isn't amplitude on ps4 now?
+Spooky yeaaaah I just figured that out after I made this comment :b sooo getting it but amplitude is no frequency, oh childhood
Que alguien me explique que mierda es esto
This game is so bad....
You played what you had back in the day 🤷♂️😂
@@juliolp95 haha I played the heck out of this awful game... But didn't realise how terrible it was back then... I just always thought I was bad at it
