This is an excellent tutorial!! Many moons ago I used to use the glide method, then I had time out from shot from many, many years. Unfortunately, I am now finding the glide method is causing my back to play up so thought I would try to learn the rotational style. One of the best videos I have seen to learn this method, thankyou!!
Thanks for watching! The Blue line is simply the mid-line of the circle, from the center of the 'toeboard' to the exact opposite side. I mostly use the blue line when coaching the glide shot put. The green lines are for rotators (shot or discus) and can be constructed to suit an individual thrower. Here's how: Put the thrower in the power position at the front of the circle. Theoretically, their throwing-side toes (right toes for a right-handed thrower) should be close to mid-line (blue line), and their front toes should be slightly behind - maybe toe-to-instep or toe-to-heel? Get them comfortable and then mark both of their toe positions with a piece of chalk. Using these two dots, draw a straight line connecting them and then extend the line all the way to the furthest side of the circle. This creates the green line you see in the film. In this example, I have a green line for right-handed throwers and a line for left handed throwers. Hope that helps!
You think the persons whose listen to your teaching are stupid. How could drive to middle of Center of siècle with out talk about that really you only want make a video you don’t say nothing your teaching miserable and it’s nothing to learn from you. Sir if not hold left arm how rotation possible and which muscle should cutch or engage when start rotation Don’t make people to lose their time when don’t know something

Great
How do you determine how to set up line dimensions??
hey coach, first of all great video! what is the angle or measurements of the green and blue lines?
