I'm an old school zombie fan all the way back to Romero's 1978 "Dawn of the Dead" and this is in my top 5 along with "Return of the Living Dead" "Shaun of the Dead" and "Day of the Dead." This is the only one that completely broke my heart. I also think in a very real way that this film is about fatherhood, the same way "Aliens" was about motherhood.

Another train movie you gotta see is Bullet Train starring Brad Pitt. It was directed by the John Wick series director Chad Stahelski, it has a lot more comedy than John Wick. Chad was the stunt double for Keanu in The Matrix series, the stunt coordinator & stunt double for Brad in Mr. & Mrs. Smith and the stunt-double for Ryan Reynolds in Deadpool 2, Brad made a 2 second cameo in DP2 so he had Ryan make one in Bullet Train. Chad also directed Day Shift starring Jamie Foxx and Snoop Dogg as vampire hunters, a great choice for October, it also co-stars Scott Adkins who will be in John Wick 4 along with his Ip Man 4 co-star Donnie Yen. Chad was Brandon Lee's stand-in for reshoots of The Crow, he had the role of the Sushi Assassin in John Wick 3 created specifically for Mark Decascos who played The Crow on the tv series.

I honestly wouldn't recommend Train to Busan's sequel Peninsula as a reaction but it's worth checking out. A better option with a similar premise is City Of The Dead starring Dave "Drax" Bautista, it has a cool zombiefied tiger too.
This movie is about being a man. More than once, there's dialog "it's a man's duty to sacrifice for one's family". When the world goes zombie nuts, it's the man's duty to look after his family.
A lot of people watching this movie, tell Seong-Kyeong to shut the door, instead of hiding in the bathroom, with Su-an, In-gil, and the homeless guy. But if you look closely, the glass on those doors is broken and all over the floor, so they had no choice but to hide in the bathroom. A lot of people also wonder why In-gil shook her head and let the zombies get her, but you have to remember that this was in super slow motion. It happened within seconds. There was no time for her to get saved AND close the door in time. She just saw what happened to Sang-hwa the last time they tried that about a minute earlier.
There is an animated prequel, called Seoul Station, that shows the beginning of the outbreak, and a sequel, called Peninsula, that plays 4 years after Train to Busan. Each movie is a stand alone story (within the same outbreak background) with different characters.
Oooooh, love this movie. When I saw it in the store as a double-Feature with its sequel, Peninsula. I had to buy it. Since one of you doesn’t like horror movies. Might I suggest, you do a nice 80’s comedy next time. Like Uncle Buck, Big or Trading places.
Spectacular reaction to an emotionally charged "zombie thriller". iIt speaks volumes about how humanity oftentimes place their own lives above all other human beings: whereas the "infected" only carry forth by the design of their parasitic nature which is now the controller of the human host. Frightening realities.
Another interesting South Korean zombie movie is #Alive (with the #). And there's also a good South Korean monster movie called The Host - aka Gwoemul (not to be confused with the US movie also called The Host).
Wow! I wathced the first part of this movie on Italian television like 5 years ago, it was night... so I couldn't see the ending. I’m thinking this was both of your first zombie movie. Different zombie movies will have different ways they deal with the zombies, even different ways the zombies move. Definitely ya’ll need to watch more zombie movies, hopefully people will recommend some to ya’ll.
Uh-oh, two young TH-cam viewers are getting on The Train. Just like the "Popcorn in Bed's" Patreons, your "friends" are Sadistic! I took a ride on "The Train" when "Parasite" was in the theaters and I got a TH-cam recommendation. I HATE Zombie movies, but when the Deer got back up, I was hooked. The emotional roller coaster ride that is this movie left me drained. Kudos to the writer(s), director, actors and especially the stunt performers for creating a modern Classic.

It had a sequel called Ben (King Rat from the first movie, Willard was his pet human), Michael Jackson sang the theme song but Ben portrays the rats as sympathetic and almost likable, in the first movie they're straight up mass murderers.

It's ultra-violent, ultra-gory zombie horror, very high quality fx and make-up, very low appreciation by reactors who keep doing the Dawn of the Dead remake year after year yet won't watch the directors cut of the 1978 original, which is available free on YT.

The subtitles were probably set to an Indian translation from Korean. So if you read English only sub titles would do little good.
