    You can argue over who is the GOAT but for me there has never been anyone as terrifying as Iron Mike was in his prime. The look, the gait & focus of the man in the few minutes before the start of the fight was akin to a starving lion stalking its prey. As soon as the first bell rang, the collective draw of the crowd's breath in anticipation of his first shot was electric. The noise from his glove's first connection drew shrieks & gasps. He was absolutely the scariest dude on the planet in these moments.

      Mike Tyson is the GOAT. Ali was great, but not the GOAT. Ali had swag and rope-a-dope moves, but Tyson had speed, accuracy, and tons of power. Ali was a showboat and danced around with punch flurries. Tyson literally fought like he wanted to murder you and did just that to most opponents.

    Tyson was king of the uppercut. Always coming in like lightning with the body shot on the side to bring down their guard, then follow with a devastating uppercut. Nobody will ever hit as hard as Tyson did.

    Make NO mistake , neither Holyfield nor Lewis would have had a chance with the Mike Tyson under Cus Damato's guidance ..
    Mike fell prey to that POS Don King, and never had a chance after that ... I'm very happy to see Tyson these days . He is happy and is loving life again !!
    He has always been one of my hero's in the ring ... today he is one of my hero's for the way he handled adversity and came out the other side...
    Mike, if you ever read this someday .. We LOVE you ..and please put this TH-cam guy out of our misery !!!!

    I can remember watching Mike tyson on World of sport a uk saturday morning program in 1985 with my mother,
    My mother said their you are son he is the next great heavyweight champion of the world,
    Yes mam you were right,
    Yes there was Dempsey, louis,marciano,Clay,Frazier.(Holmes at a push).
    Mike tyson was the last and best great heavyweight champion,

    I was a teenager when iron mike burst onto the scene. Most fights I watched until then ended in decisions. As great as Larry Holmes was he fought Mike Spinks to a decision twice.
    Tyson ended most of his fights in the first round. It was incredible seeing that kind of domination, especially for a kid so young. That's why he was so popular. He gave boxing fans what they wanted. Knockouts!
    If you watch Tysons technique, he moves his body forward when he throws a punch. This gives his punches incredible leverage and momentum. If he connects one solid punch to the head of his opponent it's all over.

    Iron Mike Tyson, he is the ultimate, most powerful , knockout boxer I have ever seen. I'm 68 years old and have followed boxing most of my life and I have never seen a boxer that has that instinct to win by knockout. When he is in the ring he is all business to win. Mike Tyson is the greatest boxer of all time. I still watch his fights to this day.

  • @thomasshrum4006
    @thomasshrum4006 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    The sheer amount of chi in Tyson's punches is astonishing. The man can barely glance you, but there's so much existential, kinetic force behind it that his movements work almost like soundwaves, disrupting the interior without directly affecting the exterior.
    Some real Bruce Lee shit, but applied to boxing. "Be like water, moving through cracks..." That was early, Mike. If he had just followed through with the rest of that quote sooner, he would have been the undisputed champion of the world, forever.
    "Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves."
    That is Mike today. Too bad it wasn't Mike at 23.

    This is the compilation I've wanted to see for ages. Tyson from the start of his pro career. I was 15 when he first burst onto the scene, and I remember the buzz around this new fighter who was like a wrecking ball in the ring. I missed a good few of his earliest fights as they weren't televised in the UK (and this was long before this here thing called the internet came along). Finally got to catch up. Many thanks for putting this together. I enjoyed every minute.

    Enjoyed seeing Tyson's sportsmanship and true concern for his opponents earlier in his career before getting exploited, turning into a sideshow. Focused, accurate, precise and devastating punches. Textbook fighting; couldn't really be done any better. A tribute to his own skill and desire, as well as D'amato's training.

    • @skeggjoldgunnr3167
      @skeggjoldgunnr3167 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sportsmanship? Ear-biting. Woman-beating. Rapist. Having his handler shield him from a REAL heavy hitter. Butterbean. Sure, 99 times out of 100 Tyson would have out-boxed butterbean and maybe got a few KO's...but Butterbean's overhand right would have meant a career destruction for Tyson and King knew this all too well. Tyson grew up a little P.O.S. thug criminal violent hooligan. Making sexual advances at underage girls...offering to carry old women's groceries, only to knock their teeth out and take their money (AND laughing about it while bragging about how good that felt). Tyson spent most of his life being a floating turd with corn, a TERRIBLE human being. But lately I feel he is redeeming himself some. I can forgive, I am open-minded to accepting him as a good man. People can change. But a major part of repenting and expecting forgiveness is admission of guilt and showing that you see your victims as humans. FIRST. I know he has a good heart now - or at least he's got a better handler. Either way: good. And what he's doing with his older body these days DOES show good mental health.

    • @WatchyertopknowAhhhGrizz1964
      @WatchyertopknowAhhhGrizz1964 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @Scrotie dot Biz that's a good point. He by no means was a choir boy...wrong sport. And maybe his EARLY sportsmanship was just for show. I was just gullible, I guess, and found it admirable compared to his later career exploits of domestic abuse, being the prison barn boss, biting off chunks of ears, wanting to eat his opponent's babies, and such. But, I think you're right: sometimes the media, in fashionable garbage, makes such people's image out to be like Pat Boone or something.

    There are only two greats. Ali and Tyson. I'll never forget on a late night show, Tyson and Ali were both guests. Tyson said "i'm vain, i know i'm great. But i can tell the world every head must bow, every tongue must confess. This beautiful man and fighter is the greatest of all time" I had the pleasure to watch every Tyson fight, from starting at 0-0. Iron mike was the most talented, powerful, destructive fighter that boxing has ever seen. we'll never see that greatness again. And every fighter he hurt in the wring, after a knockout, he would help them to there corner. He showed compassion and concern, making sure he didn't hurt someone very bad. Tyson in his heart, is humble, loving, caring and is still to me a true champion. Had scum not got into his life, that Cus warned him about, and surrounded him with people to protect him. That thing you call a wife, lied and ruined his life and his career. He was ready to retire after Buster Douglas, who was knocked out, and if you watch got a count up to 13 seconds. Iron Mike you're the best and you're a true champ. Thank you for what you brought to all your fans, you're the best..God Bless..
