@PrincipledNaturalLaw Ignore him. He's parroting the same nonsense that's been falsely proclaimed and propagated for decades. Roy had incredible footwork, head movement, a blistering jab and an unbelievable cross. He chose to be flashy to put on a show while simultaneously creating openings to catch people at awkward angles.
Never bored to watching my favorite boxing star to serve any opponents with his dash. Without shadow the hit by Roy Jones Jr will send every opponent to the canvas. Take a little rest or sleep for a while..
My favorite boxer, well him and Chavez. I only wish he fixed his bad habits instead of relying on his supernatural speed and reflexes because those are the first things to go as you age.
Yea I agree but no past, present or future fighter beats a prime Roy Jones Jr in any class from middle to light heavy weight. Heavy weight was really to dangerous of a class for Jones. He would have struggled vs heavy weights like Lenox Lewis or even big George Foreman ect. Roy just too small for that caliber of heavy weights. John Ruiz was the perfect heavy weight for Jones

Rory used to come to our prison one weekend every month and play basketball against us. He’s just as good at basketball but i’d much rather watch him at the Sweet science of boxing, a truly down to earth good old boy💯✌️❤️🤩
Until he was KO’d the 1st time and he was never the same afterward. Up to then he was the greatest to ever enter the Ring with the Exception of Joe Calzaghe. I always thought he got Royally Screwed in the Griffin fight.
@@tommy6108 Sam's. Roy claims he got hit with a quick right hand that he felt but that he kept up with him and that it let him know that he could hang with anyone else.

Nobody could touch him or hurt him. He was always at the top of his game. Took on the best & defeated all fighters put in front of him on his way to becoming champion. I think his demise was moving to Heavyweight, he no longer dodged or evaded punches but instead was training to absorb Heavyweight blows & to fight a different way. After winning the Heavyweight belt, he returned to the lower weight class but he no longer fought like he use to as a Middleweight. Now he was hitable & right there to be punched 👊🏽.. no longer was Roy dodging with his superior speed & athleticism. Roy's age played a huge factor as well near the end of his prime.
