    I recently found this nursery and was so shooketh with the varieties of plants and the gorgeous property I had to call my husband and tell him that I found the Disney World of plants. Love your videos. So informative.

    Oh my!! I absolutely love Desert Roses, I have 14. I just bought a huge one from Flamingo Road Nursery but boy I missed out on those!! I wish I knew they had all those. I would have been in heaven! Love your videos. I moved from a zone 6 to here and it's hard finding plants and flowers that you loved but now can't have down here.

      Hi and Welcome to South Florida! I soooo understand that feeling; I am in love with the Florida Dogwoods, Ginkos, Japanese Maples, Azaleas .... and I wish they grew down here . But we hope that you find new tropical plants that you can fall in love with down here! 😀🪴

    Michael, this is my very favorite video you’ve made. Recently, I found your channel and love your excitement for and vast knowledge of Florida plants. This particular video has been extremely helpful for me in my springtime garden refresh. I’ve watched this video over and over, pausing the video, picking out my faves, writing them down, and taking my list to my nursery. John is also an encyclopedia of Florida plants and just has such a nice way about him. I love when you hit the nurseries, and having a nursery employee in the video is a nice addition. Please do more videos like this one, even with different focuses…maybe one on palm trees, one on succulents and cacti, etc. Thank you for all the assistance you and John are giving me all the way up here in Palm Harbor, Florida. 😊

    The first 5 minutes were great. Can someone please tell me, what is giant Buddha sculptures doing in a nursery..what does an Eastern religion have to do with plant shoppers in the USA?

    Another great video. I am fairly new to Florida and completely new to gardening (zone 10B). I am a little scared to pull the trigger and purchase plants, but this accent plant video was interesting for me because I can start out by placing some great tropical plants in containers around my patio. If I manage not to kill them in the next 6 months, I can start thinking about some garden beds. I need to head to Flamingo Road Nursery. I would appreciate it if you could make a video on easy plants for beginners - maybe introducing some plants that are drought-tolerant, only need minimal maintenance. Just something for beginners like me to get their feet wet. Thanks!

    How do you make your Bougainville bloom?

    • @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN
      @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi there, you can try using a 17-7-10 fertilizer with micros (Nelson) in March and July. And for the months of April, May and June you can add in a bone meal 3-15-0 ( Dr Earth) which has high phosphorus to help fortify blooming. Hope this helps. 😀 🪴

    I think a staghorn fern looks beautiful in a garden. Is it an ‘accent’ plant? It always catches my eye bc it’s my favorite

    • @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN
      @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! It’s a wonderful accent ! I almost added stag horn fern to the accent video but I will probably make it a stand alone video. It’s such a cool accent ! Hanging or attached to a tree or even attached to a big post , it looks beautiful.😀🪴

      The motion graphic solution I'm using in FCP will only allow 2 lines of text at a time. But when I do individual plant review videos, I create a more detailed overlay with all the care needs midway through the vid. Check it out.😀🪴

    In my garden... Gold dust croton = 7 to 8 feet tall, Sweet Almond bush = at least 10 feet tall, Jayropha = at least 7 to 8 feet tall.

    I love children however in your videos they are distracting to the point of annoying.

    • @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN
      @LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for feedback, but it’s my style and I have a blast making videos like this. And getting kids outside and in touch with nature is vital, allowing kids to be kids while they learn about plants through play is an important part of their development . Even when they distract sometimes. But if you need info only, I provide a lot of written info about each plant in videos so you can turn down volume if you like to get the info you need. 😀🪴
