How long time must they stay in water and howvmuch must one water them wen they are in leca
I use iteracare to my plants and terahertz water too
Angel rose is amazing smell that does very well in pots and is a climber and lavender color. Also, Mr. Lincoln grows tall and smells delicious.
Night blooming jasmine is amazing. To come out at night in a summer night and smells like you put 100 candles out with just one plant. You will get pollinators for sure
My moonshine is starting to have brown and yellow leaves. I have it in a bonsai soil, medium, and in a self watering planter in advice.? I did hear that it didn’t like direct sunlight so I changed that to accommodate the plant
Will any of these plants survive in zone 9b? Daytona Beach area.
I'm in love with my dracena Janet Craig. I've just bought it 1 week ego and i hope to enjoy it for years. Thanks for your advices!
❤ this video. I have one and I was wondering do they push out a flower at some point? Mine got this little some thing growing out of the side between a couple of leaves, and I’m not sure what it is exactly
Hi there. Could be you are seeing the beginning of new flowers, they will start near the center of momma plant. Hope this helps. 😀🪴
I am not sure the story of her cocktail but surely the it brings the spirit! 🍹
Haha, you’re right! It does! 🍹😁
What would you use to pot grow the Miami Supreme, I live in south Florida and Im having difficulty finding an acid bagged medium
Hi there, you can add in some spagnum peat moss to lower ph of soil for your gardenia. We like this ratio: 70% potting mix, 10% perlite, 10% worm castings and 10% spagnum peat. Hope this helps! 😀🪴
that's not the native blue porterweed - growth habit too tall and flowers wrong color. native grows in more of a mat on the ground
Hi there, thanks for the feedback. To technically break it down to base I’d, I prefer to call it a native- ish -Florida friendly hybrid, since it is a hybrid of the native and non native called S x intercedens, Which I feel is a very good solution to have for resiliency , a tough durable partly native to native hybrid portweeed to help butterfly / pollinator populations . Hope this helps . Thanks again for the feedback. 😄🪴
The original name of this plant is called "Noche Buena" not poinsettia. It was named that by the Spanish because of the red leaves around the winter season and was used to decorate the churches around Christmas Eve. Before that it had another name given by the indigenous people of Mexico. The ambassador ahem by the name of poinsettia just named it after himself when he started selling it in the USA. It became popular because of its vibrant red color during the winter season and took off from there.
Overwintering 2 in my barn this year, hoping to learn secret to grow BIG, I know they like being root bound
I hope yours flourish ! 😀🪴
Excellent information. Would you do a video of How to differentiate Maypan from Pacific Tall or Atlantic Tall. I have 2 which I don’t know the lineage of. I bought them as Fiji dwarf but they are not since the 3rd I purchased was a Fiji Dwarf and it looks different. I am thinking either Maypan or a tall variety.
Hi! I will add your request On Maypan/ other coconut palms to our video production list! Thanks for the feedback! 😀🪴
i LOVE your enthusiasm for the feather calathea!!! this was totally my reaction too when seeing it in the store! unfortunately mine has become so sparse, its a big bummer and idk how to get her to full up again! hoping switching to dechlorinating my water will take care of yellow splotches and this fullness problem... gonna measure the footcandles too! thanks so much
You are most welcome. I hope she recovers quickly for you.😀🪴
My question I'm looking for today is, can I move my budding Thanksgiving plant into direct sun once it starts budding?
Hey there. I would not place in direct sun, it will shock out the plant, I would keep where you can get bright light, but no direct sun. Hope this helps.😀🪴
I just picked up one of these beauties yesterday for $15. I’m trying to learn as much as I can about her. I’ve only developed an affinity for houseplants over the last few years & loving the snake plant world!
I’m so glad to hear you’re enjoying your new moonshine snake plant! Snake plants are great! 😊🪴
I just purchased a smaller Calathea Rufibarba today. It's in water instead of soil.
How often are you fertilizing April - September? Every time you water or once a month?
Hi there. You can start with once per month for new or smaller plants, but as they grow and get bigger, they need more nutrients, so we add liq fert in nearly every time we water during the growing season. Hope this helps.😀🪴
I just found one at lowes im in love learning all i can
Hi there! I am so glad. Such a great houseplant!😀🪴
Per seedling how much?/
Hi there. I currently do not sell plants, so I don't have a price list for you.😀🪴
I just got gifted a variegated spider plant baby two of them together in one pot. Today in the mail. I was so happy that I got her. Thank you for sharing your video with us. It's helpful to teach me to care for her.
That is so great! You are going to love them!😀🪴
@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGN thank you I already love the babies that were donated to me! I can't wait to see how they do in my care.
Love the look of this plant. Can it grow outside zone 9b Florida? Wondering if you can recommend nurseries in Jupiter-Port St Lucie area. Love your videos and looking to add some plants to small outside spaces.
Hi there. I wouldn't grow lower than 9b. Cold sensitive. And I wish I could recommend some nurseries near you but don't personally know any. 😀🪴
@ Well thanks so much for responding. Love your videos.😃🌸
What privacy screen would you recommend for outside pool screens?
Hi there. I need a little more info . How much room to do have? narrow (<8') or wider( >8')? 😀🪴
I saw in Florida this flowers
I hear an ocean- but I need North West Florida plants- very hardy. Drought tolorant and can take lotza sand, ants, Hot & some freezes...
Looks like its gonna be lantana, the vine, muly grass & firebush? Where can I buy them near Pensacola?
Hi there. Muhly is great, but firebush might be sensitive to cold winters up there in NE Florida. 😀🪴 Saw palmeeto will do good up there and for vine, you can use passionvine. Hope this helps. 😀🪴
Another EXCELLENT video Mike and so informative. Thanks so much!
Your so welcome ! Glad you enjoyed it! 😀🪴
Super video! Thanks, Michael
I am so glad you enjoyed it! 😀🪴
Thank you very much for this video.
You are very welcome Georg, I recall you would like to see more native plant vids! Hope it was helpful. It's a Popular topic for sure. 😀🪴
also I live very close to you, in Biscayne Park
Thank you so much for your videos! They are fantastic and have made me passionate about plants. However, the heliconias you showed don't appear to be the "lobster claw" variety, as they are typically shorter. They seem to be Heliconia caribaea, which I believe can grow taller. I could be wrong, though.
Hi there, thanks for the feedback! Heliconia Caribea yes.😀🪴
1st comment and 1st time watching this channel!
Welcome! Glad you found me 😊🪴
This was a wonderful presentation. Thanks to all of you, especially Stephanie, for the information provided. I have a Hoya curtisii that's grown too long on one side and a little bare on the other, so I want to cut some vines, root them, and plant them back in the same pot so it looks more even and luscious. 💚💚💚
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It's great to see people getting excited about plant propagation! 😀🪴
Thankyou you both make a great team. M&M lol.
Thank you!😀🪴
Hi. Any suggested season for planting both green and silver buttonwoods that have already grown about 6-10 ft or so? Looking to purchase some soon depending on when's the best time to plant them.
Hi there. If you can wait, I would plant in early spring ( late Feb/ March) But you can plant them year round.😀🪴
Thank You :) Bless.
You are so welcome😀🪴
I am obsessed with your plant collection, how beautiful!!! I just inherited a baby spider plant that was on the verge of dying, so I'm super excited to nurture it back to health - this is my very first spider plant too! Thank you so much for your awesome tips and tricks 🌞🩷 🌿
On 12:59 what are those dark pink flowers under the florida silver palm, please?
Hi there. Those are a thornless variety of bougainvillea called silhouette. Not a native, but very resilient, drought tolerant and low maintenance. Hope this helps 😀🪴
@@LETSGROWGARDENDESIGNthank you. I was really hoping they were native as well.
What causes this plant to develop ugly areal roots on ends of long branches? My mature plant is doing this.
Hi there. It is a sign that your plant is healthy and wants to start propagate itself. You can easily trim off those segments and create new fishbone with those roots. Hope the helps.😀🪴
I got a cutting from a friend here in Michigan and put it in water. Just got a flower 😊🎉So I’m going to put it soil, leave it in my south facing window and see what happens.
I'm excited for you! They are so easy to grow! 😀🪴
Hi Michael! You are so cute and enthusiastic! Love the pink shirt to match. I just found out about these from visiting a friend's house. I bought a pink one at the garden center. I am in love with it! Am going to get another one to bring to my family's Thanksgiving dinner. There are so many different opinions about fertilizing. Also, wouldn't a spray bottle of water be just fine every day? P.S. You say you have a Christmas Cactus one, but I can't find it on your site.
Glad you are enjoying your new Thanksgiving Cactus! 😊🪴
Flowers are similar to the Hong Kongb Orchid.
Nice!
Thanks for watching! 😊🪴
Great advice. Many thanks!
I am so glad you found it helpful! 😀🪴
Thank you. This is a very informative and beautiful video. I'm glad to see how more and more people are becoming aware of the importance of our native/natural world and how important it is for our survival. Thanks again.
I appreciate you spreading the word about the benefits of native plants! 😀🪴
Thank you for introducing us to all these plants. Your videos are so helpful!
I’m glad you found it helpful! 😊🪴
How old was that beauty you featured?
I estimated 80 plus years!😀🪴
I love this tree for its beauty, its resilliance and its carefreeness. Once i used some of the fallen sticks for a small fence to protect a newly planted fruittree and a couple weeks later i noticed my fence was alive. Now i plant gumbo limbos wherever i can.
It’s true, they are so easy to propagate and are so resilient! Thanks for commenting 😀🪴
Really enjoyed this video! Thank you for making such a thorough video 🌿🌿🌿
I am glad you enjoyed! 😀🪴
Great video! Love the passion for the beauty of the plants.
Glad you enjoyed! 😀🪴
