seriously thinking upgrading to this yak,,, started with a cheap sundolphin boss 12ss for the creek, but the heat caused seat issues had to mod it. but i will say the seat is very good. and im a little large for it. time for a quality yak. being i just can't get the stratos 201 in the creek behind the house. hurricane took out the boat ramp
Yes. Many don’t realize that but you do have to subtract the hull weight, drive and seat. That is one of the reasons why I purchased the 12.5 over the 10 for the extra weight capacity.
Late to the game here, but does a lot of water get in the area where your feet will be? I’m interested in this moodel, but I have seen a couple of videos of the 10ft having water
That is a great question. I honestly loved the Recon 120. My initial intent was to purchase the Recon 120 and then purchase the pedal drive and add it to the kayak at a later time. After owning the kayak I researched the drive and found it extremely difficult to find to purchase. Also after researching I found that the Native Propel drive seems to be a better overall over all drive with a great warranty. I loved the stability, the internal storage from the huge front hatch and how high the seat was. The high seat made it extremely easy to stand. As far as the Slayer Max I wanted the Propel drive, under the seat storage tray that slides out, side panels to drill into to run wires with out drilling into the kayak. I have not had it out on the water yet so once I do that I can give a more thorough comparison. Hope that answers your question.
id like to see a comparison between this and the bonafide p127
Would love a video comparison of the Slayer max and the Recon 120.
I think I can make that happen!
Please looking into the recon 120

Turn that double header upside down for increased clearance. Bungee and tether for increased security.
11:29 awesome kayak!!!
Yes it is!!!
thanks for sharing. any saltwater experience? Greetings from Greece
Is the Native Slayer an exact copy of the Bonafide P127? Just trying to get some idea as I am thinking about either one for purchase.
did you figure this out I'm looking at both
When they say the capacity is say 450lbs, do you have to subtract the bare hull weight and the drive and seat? Thank you!

Nope. I stayed pretty dry with the scupper plugs in.
@@markdoutdoors7965 so without them, is it really bad or small enough to be tolerated?
