"Y así la historia de la lucha del clan Belmont contra el mal comienza. Sin embargo, Mathias y los Belmonts no volverán a reunirse durante cientos de años. Mathias se esconde en el extranjero y continúa a maldecir a Dios por la eternidad. Finalmente, se nombra Señor de la Noche y Rey de los Vampiros. Los años antes de su próxima reunión pasan lentamente y en silencio, pero con firmeza; el intermedio en esta obra exquisita de la que dos almas no se escaparán."
They do this in all games. In fact I can think of very few video games where the language used matches with the location. Even Onimusha 3 which has Jean Reno speaking French in France, cuts away to Takeshi Kaneshiro in Feudal Japan speaking English... makes sense eh? Nope.
@luneytoon1 How do you know? Latin and Ancient Greek remained the international languages of great parts of Europe and some parts of Asia for many years A.D. If you are right about Japanese, why would they have switched over from English to Japanese so suddenly. It leaves all but those who can speak that language and the Japanese with great questionmarks above their heads of what they're saying to each other.
What on earth were they saying to each other? Nobody in this whole world still speaks Latin and even can. Latin and Ancient Greek words are mainly being used in science, especially in chemistry and biology for names for/of some stuff as far as I know.
I think he's speaking Japanese. :3 But, in anycase, I do admire Castlevania and this game most of all. Challenging, great cut-scenes, and awesome characters~ It needs more publicity! :DDD
Depends on if its well played or not. I believe the english version was better though. Japaneese and dark gothic middle ages just wont ever work together well. English and French would be the best languages. :]
One thing.....WHY WOULD ROMANIES SPEAK JAPANESE!!!!????? FOR CRYING OUT LOUD WHY DOES KONAMI NEVER PUT A ROMANIAN VERSION FOR THE GAMES!!!!?? P.S. Yes I'm Romanian.
this is the best castlevania especially the story
Leon sounds more badass in the japanese version
why doth it suddenly switch to japanese? (was watching via the playlist)

Leon does an awesome roll at 1:23.
likely to keep the dialog from being a spoiler for those who haven't finished the game. *LOL*
